The Spending Review (tackling the Socialists debt mountain)
LGTL replied to dune's topic in The Lounge
Likewise Alan Johnstone wiping the floor with the geeky Tory Chancellor (god help us). -
Things you had achieved by the time you were 25....?

Lucky for me it isn't then. -

1st Class Honours Degree, and that's about it. I now have three years to get a house and a good job, and i'll be happy in life. -

Clegg's face is always a picture. He sits there like he's about to breakdown in tears. Cheer up Nick, you got the little bit of power you so craved, even if you are already realising that some of these decisions go wildly against what you truely believe, and that you've ruined any chances for the Lib Dems once the coalition is over the honeymoon period and future elections are upon us. -

PMQ's looks like a right laugh. -
Whatever is said about the French, you have to admire them for their ability to **** everyone off, and not give a sh*t. And this is about raising the pension age from 60 to 62!

Yes, without doubt. Guess it depends on your humour though.

This year's campaign to stop an X Factor Christmas number 1
LGTL replied to JackFrost's topic in The Lounge
This new "campaign" about stopping X Factor getting to number 1 is starting to become as annoying as the said programme. -
Fantastic point here by "Frattonman"; "This whole thing stinks and l think that there is a conspiracy between the PL and FL to drive us out of business UEFA and FIFA need to urgently step in and sort this nonsense out." Bless him. Edit - Didn't see this already mentioned twice before...just shows how funny it is!

Absolute classic.

Just checked my posts, I first suggested this in 2008. I'm glad to see they may have finally listened to me.
-
Must admit I didn't realise this until a few months ago. I walked into a hotel with a few clocks showing different times in cities across the world, and I thought one of them had stopped!
-
Dune, please tell me you didn't just say Thatcher was "****ing hot"?? How many you had?
-
I imagine he will be thinking along those lines, I know I would be. He is clearly too good for League 1, so nobody would blame him if he wants to leave next year if we don't win promotion.
-
To be honest, i'd normally say fair play to him, who on this forum can honestly say they wouldn't like to earn that amount and retire at 40? But when so much of this country is in real dire straights through no fault of their own, it does leave a bitter taste in the mouth. I'd give the £300k to charity

He deserves it for simply doing his job, a job which he already gets a massive salary for? They are rewarding him twice for doing the same thing, where are the bonuses for doctors? He deserves his salary, not his bonus. As Dave points out, we are all "in this together".
-
This isn't about Communism or Capitalism, otherwise i'd suggest Mark should earn the same as everyone else. It's about whether he 1) deserves and 2) needs, a £300k bonus on top of his already huge salary.
-
We still could in fairness! It's amazing how much difference Lallana makes to this team.
-
In fairness, I don't think anyone begrudges "Mark" gaining a very, very high salary for the important job he does for our economy (our reliance on them was set up by Thatcher unfortunately). But the discussion for me is about his £300k bonus, and whether he really needs it, or is it just a case of greed. Seeing as he can afford a £50k kitchen and to pay for all his friends to go Business Class on Virgin to Vegas, I would suggest he doesn't really need it.

Saints attacking the Northam 2nd half once again, happened last week against Bournemouth too. Is this something Adkins has decided, if so it's about time, been saying it for years.
-
Get in there!! Lets hope Lambert kicks on from here.
-
It happened in Whitehouse, the article just states that the boxers had earlier been in Wahoo.
