  1. The only thing that would make me smile about all this is seeing Rupert Lowe in prison!
  2. And AdrianSFC told us in a number of emails to stop talking about Rupert Lowe. We would if he would just go away!
  3. No thanks. I would go for Paul Tisdale as he has proved he can work with a tight squad & inprove them whilst playing decent football. The bonus is he was an apprentice here & has a strong affinity with the club & our fans.
  4. Agree with Saint Stimp. Did Strachan ever have the hip op he mentioned?
  5. Doubtful as the situation we find ourselves in now is a direct result of his legacy. Mind you - "We dont want to do a Leeds do we!!!????"
  6. Not surprised, but *****ing disapointed. The business genius that is Rupert Lowe deserves having all his assets taken off him & then let him start again.
  7. Well the revolutionary coaching set up has done us proud! I think in our hearts we knew there was a good chance that we would be where we are well before Christmas, but it still hurts like hell. Lets just hope we can start a fresh next season on zero points & try & establish ourselves a decent squad of 15-16 players under a manager like Paul Tisdale & have a go at getting ourselves some pride back. Very very disapointed. And to all those who said Wotte was the man - ******!
  8. Jonah you are plain wrong mate - John Lewis do not have a credit rating & will not pay for one. Good fund managers do their own due diligence mate (that is where i work). The credit rating agencies are always behind the curve. That is why we have not owned any equity in the banks since late 2007 (except Standard) Crossley had his holding having managed to get a hold of it pre-listing along with Paul Cramp & Threadneedle. Cramp stagged his - Crossley wished he had too! Income funds love dividends - it is their purpose! That money could have cut debts if RL did not want to spend it on the team. By debts I dont mean equity - I mean loans - paid them down even the bl00dy stadium. The accounting procedures on AIM are a lot less than those of FTSE. If it was more relevant for us to be on AIM why did he not place us there in the first place? Come on mate. I dont blame Lowe for everything, but his agenda has always been about self promotion & personal financial gain. If that linked to success on the pitch - great, but clearly the decisions he made relegated us from the PL. He was paid to make those decisions by the way & was rewarded for failure. He came back & made further mistakes. I never wanted administration, but according to the people i spoke to prior to the situation we are in now the single biggest obstacle was having to pay for worthless equity. I say worthless because that is what it is now! Worthless. Please stop defending him mate. I am not a loony who is anti public school or anything like that. Not interested in shooting, but each to their own. Whenever I have spoken to Lowe he has always been very condescending & actually FWIW he never comes accross as articulate or considered as you do. I dont like the man. Why? For the way he has been the main contributor to the administration we are in now,
  9. Nick, Not all companies pay dividends, indeed Invesco Perpetual's Andy Crossley who was the largest shareholder at the time ran an accumulation fund & was not interested in dividends - he wanted capital appreciation. Also Rupert & his cronies were the largest shareholders & stood to be the biggest beneficiaries of the divis. Thus rewarding themselves in addition to things like salary, pension, bonus & options. That does not also account for the share buy back either which the audience at the AGM by way of vote of hands rejected only to be outvoted by proxy.
  10. I cant prove this in writing, but as i understand it the main obstacle to taking over Saints was having to come up with a premium over the share price to get RL & MW interested. Why would someone pay £5+m for a business that was clearly going bust? I was really interested in Jonah's rant at UP about Jones & inaccuracies which completely forgot Ruperts salary in the equation & all those divi's & share buy backs! Attached is the list Dividends Sept 2000 - £324,123 Sept 2001 - £328,070 Sept 2002 - £593,218 Sept 2003 - £856,227 Sept 2004 - £856,227 Sept 2005 - £140,000 TOTAL - £3,097,865 Share Buybacks May 2002 400,000 @ 35p = £140,000 June 2002 2,746,153 @ 30p = £823,845 Oct 2002 1,120,000 @24p = £268,800 Sept 2004 450,000 @ 44p = £198,000 TOTAL - £1,430,645 Care to disagree with that Jonah? What a complete & utter waste of football club money! Keeping that money may well have saved us? What is quite interesting is how close the number is to the overdraft we had with Barclays.
  11. I love his passion. If Lowe & Wilde had half his understanding then we would not be in the mess we are now!

    Sisu

Coventry are still in business, but I am still not sure what a hedge fund gets out of their investment. If like many other hedge funds they are liquidated then Coventry will have a similar problem to us - clients of hedge fund want cash, hedge fund wants out of football club, forced to sell - big problem. I for one am not at all convinced that Sisu was the right thing for SFC.
  13. I simply cant do Charlton as its the kids party & the wife will murder me, but defo Palace & Burnley - Plus Wolves, Sheff Wed & Forest. I am even gonna waste some more money on long sleeved shirts as the kids have asked!
  14. Has this been confirmed yet? I have not seen it on the wires other than the echo?
  15. So - remove Lowe of any responsibility whatsoever! Oh he must be a banker......
  16. Just as arrogant as Mr Lowe! Maybe you have the same amount of integrity as him as well? By the way I am very thick as I am trying to work out where I was celebrating?
  17. When I go to watch Saints I take at least 2 of my boys & quite often my dad. My mate & his nipper, 4 of my clients & sometimes my nephew (who is really a Peterborough fan, but liked following Saints because of his mum - (my sister) & his cousins), but maybe they will be in the division above us next season?. There you go 10 or 11 straight back to SMS as soon as Lowe & Wilde F.O!
  18. The atmosphere seems quite good at away games Nick!
  19. What a very very sad day it will be! And there was me tonight with my 3 boys singing 'Oh when the saints go marching in' as the wife asked me to sing songs to my 2 year old to help him get to sleep. All this feels like my heart is being ripped out. So sad! Absolutely gutted.
  20. I have been back a while now. Went with my middle lad & dad. I thought we were shocking for the first 75 minutes. Never a pen, but that could not hide how bad we were. Blackpool also a very poor side, but were better than us for 3/4 of the game. McGoldrick scored a cracking goal, but was our worst player before that. He then was probably one of our best. Not sure why we were so bad then so full of energy & guile. Great save from Davies at 1-0 kept us in the game. Did we have a shot on target before we scored? Worst ref I have seen this season & that is saying something. My Ratings Davies 7 - Great save to keep us in it Thomson 6 - Looked as if he had been told not to venture too far forward Perry 8 - Our best player today IMHO Skacel 6 - Tried hard, but not at his best Schneiderlin 5 - Never really in the game Gillett 6 - Tries hard, but does not create much McGoldrick 7 - Would have been 4, but showed what he can do for last 15 minutes Surman 6 - Great free kick, but not really any good going forward Euell 6 - Won stuff in the air, but not really on the park long enough Saga 6 - Dont think he had a shot all day. Works tirelessly for the team though Subs Wotton 7 - I thought we looked better with him in the side. Protects back 4 more than Gillett BWP 6 - Ran around, but rarely threatened Lallana 6 - Too late to make any impact. Two things really stood out for me. Firstly - both teams are pretty poor. And if JP had been given the benefit of Saga, Skacel & Seijas I am not sure we would be where we are now. All those shouting about how good Wotte was after 3 wins look a little silly now IMHO. His tactics were non - existent & it was as if Wotton, Perry & Seijas were the guys who eventually got us going. It looks very tough. We can do it, but why cant we go & get a Campbell on loan rather than some of the **** we have had this season?
  21. Toothless up front today. I thought we were great for the first 10 minutes then it was all down hill. A point would have been a bonus, but we are well & truly in the **** now!
  22. I was at the game today & thought we played OK upto the last third of the pitch. We started brightly & were probably the better team for the first 10 minutes. That said we were completely toothless upfront. I think we had a couple of shots all game & they were from 35 yards+. You could see their goal coming. They were stronger than us in most parts of the park & their 2 centre halfs showed us exactly what you need in this division. Someone mentioned taking McGoldrick off was a poor decision. Dont agree with that im afraid the dive he got booked for was embarrassing & for that alone he should be ashamed. Patterson was very poor. I think the width of his shoulders were half that of Jaidi or Taylor. Quite why Wotte thought playing him up front instead of Euell was a little strange with guys who are 6ft 2inch+ & 15 stone. Make no mistake - we were pretty poor second half, blues just a bit better. Gillet & JPS were our best players. Surman, Patterson & James were very poor, but the accolade for worst player on the park goes to Smith. What a poor player he is. After 3 wins I read so much rubbish from people saying how some of us who said Wotte was not the right appointment were fools. Well on todays evidence Wotte proved he is better than JP, but not the god they would have us believe. At the start of the season my ambition was to stay up. Getting points at Birmingham was never going to be crucial to that then. Problem is because of mis-management at board & coaching/team mgt level through out the season we have dug ourselves into a huge hole that may be just a little too steep to get ourselves out of.
