Not criticised NC before, but on this issue I think he is wrong!

Its playing the system in the way the fish ****ers did & that is exactly why the revenue are after them. Its not cheating according to the law, but without doubt there are absolutely no morals in securing players knowingly prior to a winding up petition. In the tax world I think it is called an 'associated transaction' (?) where you participate in a transaction in order to avoid tax. SWFC are not avoiding tax, just delaying it (hopefully for them). Its basically financial engineering with a high degree of risk because as we all know players values plummet when you are forced sellers. The preferred creditor rule is the ultimate goal of HMRC.

Sensible. We do have a great starting 11, but as he says we need to add some wingers, pace & another striking option. We look lots better when Morgan is in the side than without him, but reading between the lines I think he has a player(s) in mind & is waiting for the clubs to get replacements or get desperate for the cash. I still think its a waiting game with Antonio who will IMHO join us just before the window closes as Reading will need the cash!

I think both articles are poor. I am not sure why anyone would go out of their way to have a go at Bournemouth? I think Eddie Howe has done an awesome job & deserves all the accolades he can get. We are in Div 3 on merit & merit alone - so are they! Do I think we have a better side? Squad? Will beat them? - Yes to all of them, but dont under estimate a team of players who will regard beating us as just as high as staying in this division.

Problem is that they will probably beat us as they are a bogey side for us. I think I have seen us win once up there in about a dozen games.

I would like a new centre mid to compete with Morgan & Hammond & would like to see Antonio back. I am not worried at the moment as I reckon if we need to boost the squad we can get a few more loans in. Patience is my position.

I was introduced to the Northern scout of Reading FC this morning who was asking my view of Antonio. We got chatting & he said that Reading think they will use him this year. Initially off the bench, but that they think he is & i quote "A powerful player to bring off the bench". He went onto say that Reading quoted £1m to Saints, but would sell if we would get to £500k. For the record.....I cant prove this to be true & I dont have evidence that he is indeed working with Reading. In fairness he seemed clued up on Reading & AP having recommended players in the past to him. Just thought I would share.

Some people have very funny memories......the reason Crouch helped to get rid of Lowe is because HE had got us relegated from the PL with his constant interfering, arrogance & lack of financial acumen - then came back & got us relegated again!!! Why did he get rid of Pearson & insist on that stupid Dutch experiment? There were other ways of remaining in the Champ. Crouch's intentions were honourable, Lowe's were utterly selfish!! By the way - how much of Lowe's money did he actually invest in the club to become Chairman?? Not financed at silly levels off the back of a nursing home OR share options. How much did he take out of a bank account & invest? NONE! How much did he recieve on dividends? Why did we buy back our shares? etc etc etc All Lowe - he is the reason we are in Div 1 remember!! If he asked for administration a week before he did we would not have suffered the 10 pts last season & we would be back in the championship............Short memories some of you have.

Yep - we had a very poor start & if we were not negative 10 points we would have gone up above Leeds on goal dif!! We do need 2 or 3 players - no doubt. A right back, central midfielder & maybe another striker/winger, but I am convinced AP & NC are aware of this & working on it. I cant prove it, but I have faith.

If you read the SkySports site & many others there are many managers talking about ongoing negotiations with free transfer signings. If these players are any good a number of clubs will be after them. It was Leicester today, Reading yesterday both a division above us. The player & his agent will take a look at all the potential offers, maybe get a couple of clubs competing then make a decision. We are probably(hopefully) in that position, awaiting news from targets. That said I believe AP has his sites set on a few players to buy & activity will be going on in the background. If these players are already signed to other clubs they will be under going pre-season with them. If it takes a little while longer to get the right players rather than any player - I would rather wait. A starting 11 of Davis, Harding, Fonte, Jaidi, Dickson, Lallana, Puncheon, Schnederlin, Hammond, Barnard & Connolly with Bart, Mills, Wotton, Connolly, Chamberlain, Holmes & Martin on the bench sounds good to me & thats without any more signings! I know we need depth, but we are starting from a very strong base. Goodbye LM & good luck.

And David Laws steals £40k plus from the state & we have to hear the tories & liberals brand him 'an honourable man'. The punishment does not fit the crime for these lads. There is absolutely no coincidence that these lot have been convicted in a world cup year! I dont condone what they have done, but to use £30k of damage as some kind of justification is plain wrong IMHO.

Lampard was shocking. He & Gerrard cant play together. I actually thought Gerrard was our best player last night. Barry did alright as well. Heskey, Rooney, Johnson & Lampard were inept. Capello also.
