Dont think there is any doubt it happens a lot. Actually think Spurs are worse than Liverpool. What is however undeniable is the apology from Liverpool. Be in no doubt that they would only do that if they had absolutely no choice, but to do it. VVD may well leave. Wont be the first, wont be the last. Face it, we cant even fill SMS so why would he stay?? Personally would like him to do another season then go. That was true of Shaw. Chambers & many others. Ultimately we ARE a selling club. The football is pedestrian nonsense. Strikers are isolated. Formation (whatever its supposed to be) is lacking fluidity. 17 goals at home. 4th worst home record in the PL. Puel after match interviews are total nonsense. Lots having a go at JWP today, but Tadic has been rubbish for weeks. Total turd. Davis actually passed the ball for the Gabbi chance & made an excellent last ditch challenge in the first half, but his passing was very very poor. CP has treated Clasie like poo. He has made Hojberg a worse player. Winning at M'boro & WBA is not a coincidence. You cant play JWP, Romeu & Davis in the same team. Its too lightweight. We don't get bodies in the box. Redmond would get nowhere near a top 6 side. He was awful today. Yes, we were spoilt with MP & RK. The football is turgid rubbish. Personally I would have quite a big clear out. I would rather McCarthy, Gallagher, Sims & Hesketh be in & around the squad than some of our first teamers. The Under 8's at half time moved the ball quicker than the first team!!! Sorry, its time for Puel to go. Don't think for a second that Howe would come, but he would be my choice. Other than that go for DeBoer. MP & RK had a chequered past before joining so the Inter issue may be a glitch. Think Hull getting beat 7 today is enough for their manager to not be considered. Even consider Gary Monk...................... We've has some memorable trips this season & some utter garbage football!!

Thought he was decent last night. Be interesting to see what happens with McCarthy next season. Wouldn't be completely surprised if Cedric left. Don't want that to happen, but club may feel McCarthy & Pied are sufficient....................

These are the tactics Puel employs & I'm not one of those who says he should go now. 6 efforts on goal last night, with the exception of the penalty the keeper didn't really need to dive for any of them. Were we better than in previous games? Yes we were, no doubt, but don't BS people & say that that was an outstanding display of attacking football. Any team with pace up front creates chances against us. Even Man Utd last night with the ever slowing Rooney did. 17 goals at home says everything. Only Crystal Palace, Middlesbrough & Sunderland have won less points at home than us. Swansea have the same at 24. 6 hours at home, no goals. We are currently Southampton NIL. Bring on Sunday, 3 pts & a couple of goals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Southampton NIL. Too deep, too slow, too predictable. Gabbi is so isolated. Really feel for him. JWP's best game for a while. Not sure why he was substituted. Decent games for back 5 too. Davis losing the ball a lot as usual, Tadic missing again, Redmond not good. Romeu decent. Same ole, same ole!!

I have seen some really dull, turgid football this season. Sometimes it doesn't feel like entertainment at all so there is a part of me who wants Puel replaced. He's uninspiring when interviewed too. BUT & this is a big but, I don't see who we get that is going to be any better. Any team would miss VVD. We've had some bad luck with injuries this season too. He was not at fault for the Fonte situation. Les Reed has to take blame for that one. I don't think he helped himself with the selections in Europe, I don't like the diamond. He clearly has his favourites. So when I weigh it up, I'm not convinced one way or another. I think he's done exactly the job the club want him too. More young players in & around the squad. Top half finish. Cup Final. Only thing they could moan about is our progress in Europe & the dull football. That makes land on the side of giving him more time. If by November we are in the bottom 3 & playing boring football & there is a credible replacement we can take a differing view.

Some people at a different game than me..... We did lack intensity. First half was better than the second, but we move the ball too slowly. Having Tadic in the team is like playing with ten. He has a free role. A free role to deliver nothing. We sit too deep, we move the ball too slowly. Gabbi gets very little service. He gets very little support. JWP was our best midfielder last night & got taken off. Davis, Romeu, Yoshida & Tadic guilty of giving the ball away too easily. Frustrating to watch Redmond moan at everyone then give the ball away that lead to their opening goal. This game summarised our season perfectly...Southampton NIL.......... Listened to Puel after the game & couldn't believe his 'possibility, opportunity, deserved more' nonsense. I was all for giving him a chance, but we are dull, pedestrian, slow, fragile & weak. 17 goals in 17 home games........The Southampton way!

Interesting. It repeats what I've said about Romeu & Davis this season. It's pretty obvious to anyone who has played at any level. JWP, Davis & Romeu is not the right mix. That's why I think Hojberg will play much more next season. Also agrees with what I've said about Tadic. Personally think it's time to let him go. I can see 5 or 6 leaving this summer, but unlike previous years I think they won't be the obvious one. More like Tadic, Long & Jay Rod with MacCarthey & Gallagher in the match day squad.

Its the style of football that I don't like. We are so bloody slow at moving the ball. Maybe we were spoiled by RK & MP, but its no fun watching Saints much of the time. That said, I really don't see an alternative that can improve things very quickly. Maybe DeBoer?? MP & RK both had mistakes on their CV so it might work............ Always thought Rowett was a good manager. Problem now is all the prima dona players in the PL expect a name. Also the problem maybe more deep rooted than we think. U23's & U18's have not had great seasons either. Time will tell....

Never let Tadic take a penalty again........................... At least people cant blame Hojberg! It was like the slow rubbish served up before Christmas.

That's 7 goals conceded in 2 games which is poor even if its against Man City & Chelsea. Its not just about the defence. Thought Davis was very poor tonight. Lost count of the amount of times he gave the ball away. His school boy challenge for the 4th was also poor. He's been great for us, but its time for Clasie or Hojberg. Tadic was as frustrating as ever. Gabbi cant score if we don't give him the ball. How does Costa not get booked for diving?? Need 3 points against Hull.

Exactly. There are some real concerns outside of China too about the levels of debt. It is not a huge leap to see how a 2008 type event could wipe out many of these individuals & companies. I don't know enough about the structure or the people to make an informed decision, but I do know that we should be very cautious at the very least.

Personally thought he was best of a bad bunch last weekend & he lost the ball less than Davis............. He reminds me a lot of Romeu, Schniederlin & even someone like Mane who struggled initially with playing in the PL. As soon as they played regularly became a whole lot better & confidence grew. You have to give him time. He has all the attributes of becoming a top player imho. That said, he does look a little heavy, but you could say that about Romeu this time last year...................

Who was better? Ward-Prowse was anonymous, Davis lost the ball too much & dwelled too long on it when he had it, Tadic was rubbish, Boufal even worse, Redmond as bad as he's been.........so yes he was the best of a bad bunch. Maybe you should head back up the black hole you've been hiding in??

Too deep, too defensive, too slow. Ward-Prowse, Tadic, Redmond & Boufal were awful. Foster & Yoshida at fault for first goal. Hojberg our best midfielder by miles. The only one who didn't give the ball away. Just don't understand why we didn't even try to take the game to them & for that we must blame Puel. Rubbish!

I reckon he will stay another season. Very little foundation for that & maybe its just hope, but think hes gonna do another season.............
