I remember that game at Coventry really well. He was an excellent passer & creative player that made us great to watch. He & Matt basically took the **** out of Cov - all game.

Really not sure what to make of this. He clearly has the ability to bag goals, but £3.25m is way to expensive, particularly when DJ Campbell is available for £1.25m & he scored 13 goads in the prem.......................................

But we dont know what is going on behind the scenes!! Many transfers are related. One club needs to sign player a before agreeing to sell player b. Warnock was on TV earlier saying he wanted 5players. You may have seen the PL free transfer list. I absolutely guarantee that the agents of these players are talking to numerous clubs. We maybe one of those clubs. I remember us beating West Ham first game of the season one year, but thats about it! The core of our team is settled. We may loose AOC, but we survived without him for much of the last 2 months of last season anyway. I would rather buy quality than quantity & if the players we want are good quality I am sure we will be competing with other teams. If we get to July without signing a couple of players I will be disappointed, but the least we can do is give Cortese & Adkins is some time to get the right players in.

Interesting................I always thought it was a mistake to pay £1m for him & sell Taylor for £200k as Taylor was the better keeper. Also, he cant be that good because when he played for Bridgnorth in the Dr Martins I scored against him!!!!! And I bowled his brother Steve out 2 weeks ago & he played for nets for Hereford!!

£12m seems like a decent price as long as we get a sell on. I am convinced the big 4 are simply trying to stop each other from buying certain young players. As for AOC - if it were me I would have waited another year. I simply dont understand how a year in Arsenal's reserves & the odd cameo in the fizzy pop & CL is going to further his career. Neither Walcott or Bale did anything for well over 12 months when they moved. Indeed some of the Spurs fans thought Bale was poo. If he played 40 games in the champ next season it would improve him as a player & as a man.

Agree about FIFA, but the FA is almost as bad. What happened with West Ham & Sheff U or Sugar & the court case, QPR or even Peterboro fielding players 40 years ago simply highlights the lack of integrity in the game. Think about what they did to Luton. Do you really think that if it had been Man City with all their cash the same consequences would have been dished out? The press is also corrupt. No faith in the FA, UEFA or FIFA..............................

Got a sneaky feeling that Middlesbrough will be up there & whoever loses in the play off final. I can see Cardiff struggling. As for us, top 10, but not top 6. Sorry, just my view.

I think that is a cracking deal for everyone...............If (?) he stays fit he is as good as any striker in the champ IMHO.

After Holloway's comments I have wanted to them to go down, but I am now feeling a little guilty!! And Puncheon is a t w a t!!!

I personally think he would be better served staying at least 1 more season at Saints. Playing in the champ will do him a power of good & in my opinion better than the odd game in the PL & the fizzy pop.

Being honest, I had my doubts (still do if I am being honest), but fair play for an excellent job. The recent run has shown him to be a lot more aware than I had given him credit for. Deserves manager of the season for what he inherited when he did.

Fair play to Udders. They played us off the park for the first 45 mins at their place & were decent at SMS. They too have bought a number of players so should have been up there, but their recent run deserves more than 3rd place at the expense of anyone else but Saints. Good Luck in the play-offs!

Excellent win. Special mention for Fonte, Chaplow, Connolly & Hammond who I though all did incredibly well. One win is enough.........COYR!

Dont do it mate!! My Mrs is from Cumbria & we are in the middle of the country & I would go back to Hampshire in a heart beat!! There is something about the sea that keeps calling you back.

Utter nonsense!!! I am sure you make it up as you go along!! Earlier in the season he did not look fit. Mr Lambert himself has since said that he was indeed not 100% fit. Since before Christmas he has improved no end. But then again you said we were going up in the paly -offs last season!!

IF (?) we get promoted, I can see Rickie doing well in the champ. Grant Holt, who IMHO is not as good a player as Rickie has scored 20 goals this season & I can see Rickie doing even better!!!

I am getting very worried that Hudders will win all their games & we will draw both of our away games............just the same as Rochdale & Orient, a win & a loss is better than 2 draws & if we can win our home games enough to see us through HOPEFULLY!!

Fonte - car is swerving everywhere - I shout ****ing get in in the loudest voice only to get another bollocking..........strange Americans stunned. COYS - lets keep going..... Quick point on David Connolly, if he were fit all the time he would not be playing in Div 3. Never forget his first goals up at Oldham last season. Top quality.
