Forgot to mention the t w a t on Solent after the game, Christ (?). Every time I hear him I want to slap him. He is so blatantly pro the fish fu c k e r s...........he should be removed from the radio.

Just back from the game. Gutted! They came to kick us off the park & defend deep going 4-5-1 & hoof the ball as often as possible. Ref allowed them to get away with it most of the game. Allen could have easily been sent off for one of three challenges. The challenge on Morgan was late. He intended to get him & it worked. Our midfield is no where near as good without him. Guly was a passenger, but DeRidder was only slightly better. We were poor. Dragged down to their level. Their keeper makes 2 world class saves & they hit 2 goals that they won't score again in one game for another 10 seasons. Adkins comment about us having 11 players on the pitch as they did not react to constant provocation was interesting. Teams want to get at us. I understand that, but within 2 minutes the ref let things go in their favour then booked Morgan understandbly so. No consistency at all. Rickie did not look fit, but we are still miles better with him in the side. They came, they kicked, they peaked, but then again we won't be playing next season!!!

He played up front at Blackpool & was just as bad up there!

He was poor yesterday as were most if not all of them. His head went down when he missed the penalty, but clearly he is not the type of striker to play up front on his own. When Guly dropped he was left so isolated in was unbelievable. And that is the problem chaps, we miss Lambert more than the rest of them because he is so important to our style of play. Guly was poo yesterday. He did track back a few times & gave free kicks away, but he is an attacker & as an attacker yesterday he missed an open goal!!!!! Sharp needs a partner, as does Guly, as does Lee, as does Connolly, as does Barnard.............................we need another big strong back to goal type striker. Norwich bought Morrison because they knew Holt wont play every game in a season. Next year wether we go up or not we need to do the same!!!

Completely disagree about Guly. He was a passanger for most of the game. However he is clearly not a big strong back to goal type striker so why the hell did we hoof it too him first half? We did change 2nd half, but all that did was allow them to press out CB's. It just shows how important Lambert is & that is exactly why I would have bought a striker capable of winning a header when our keeper or CB's hit the longer ball forward. There were planty that were rubbish yesterday. I think that was even worse than Donny away!!! Joss had his worst game ever for Saints yesterday IMHO too.

Very very poor with many terrible performances with Guly, Sharp, Chaplow, Butterfield & Joss at their worst. Adkins playing the diamond when Blackpool play with decent wingers was a mistake too. Move on & beat the fish *****ers next week.

And whilst I remember - you also said Pardew will get us promoted via the play-offs in his first season......................

I know this may sound harsh, but I can see the whole back 5 being changed if we go & stay in the PL for 2-3 years. My reasoning is that none of them are quick & we will becoming across pace in each & every game. However they have both done a wonderful job this year!

I remember his performance at Bristol City & thought he had a nightmare. He was not going past Lallana - that is what he has corrected. I thought against Burnley he looked a to by much much better. My brother in law is a Posh season ticket holder who was at their game with Brizzle on Saturday & he said Adomah was shocking & they were the worst team he had seen all season. Just goes to show how quality will always eventually shine through & everyone has a poor game. I think Adkins places a lot of emphasis on stats in the way Oakland did with the baseball. He mentioned again Fox's crossing ratio in his post match interview. I think that is why SDR is not regarded with the same regard as people like Guly or Chaplow. Well done Fox - you have settled in well. Just for the record though - if we go up, it would not surprise me if within 12-18 months the whole back 5 is changed!!!!
