Moses would fit perfectly into our squad & system.

Comments like this are ridiculous. I wonder how many people said that about Rickie Lambert? Only 1 way to prove it & watch him play at least half a dozen games in the league.
-
Those teams come & park the bus. Think QPR, Sunderland, Wigan etc & try to hit us on the break. To overcome that we try & keep the ball & play through them. The other options are players like Messi whose trickery can create space & opportunities. No doubt we have gifted players who can try & d that too, but for me the real problem is a lack of pace. What difference does that make when teams are deep?? Its simply another option. Another problem for opposition to deal with. Pace to get between defenders or beyond full backs. Pace also means we get more free kicks. Have to say I thought Rickie's free kicks were very poor on Saturday. We need a left footer to take them on the right IMHO.

Post Match Reaction & MotM: SAINTS 1-1 Sunderland
corky morris replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Thought we moved the ball way to slowly & the team lacks genuine pace. Get annoyed we don't leave anyone up for opposition corners. Clyne always cuts inside when he plays left back. Rickie's free kicks were very poor. Excellent in the attacking sense in the second half with JWP outstanding. Lovren looks very very good. Wanyama great in first half, but faded in the second. Jay Rod needs to do a lot better. Think we can improve! -
Thought our right side was our weakest point in the first half. JWP delivery was good, but he can't go past a man. Second half he was excellent.

Yet Another Goal From A Corner With No One On The Posts
corky morris replied to TijuanaTim's topic in The Saints
I get really ****ed off that we leave no one up from opposition corners. It just allows them to put more people in our box. When we clear it comes straight back. Simply does not make sense. -
Watching the U21's the other day against Liverpool they said he was at West Ham before us. Any idea why they let him go because he looks a talent to me.
-
Dont think it changes anything. We will rotate the front 3 as we do now. Lambert, Lallana, Jay Rod, Gaston all inter change in the game Osvaldo will do exactly the same. IMHO I think he will come in for Lallana, Jay Rod or Gaston.

Unless we 'Liebher' the business decides to sponsor the stadium for £100m a season!!??

Top fella - well done!!

Downing & Chamakh - jealous? If not, then who SHOULD we have signed?
corky morris replied to mcbendy's topic in The Saints
WOuld not have signed either. I would take Sinclair from Citeh, Phillips from Blackpool & would even take Peter Crouch if he was cheap from Stoke!!! -
I still want a pacey winger. Personally think Sinclair would do, but would also think about Matt Phillips.

Rickie Lambert called up for England
corky morris replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in Golden Posts
Well Done Rickie, huge congratulations!! -
Everyone is an expert!! Lambert was not considered good enough for The Championship by many professional football managers yet scores goal in the PL. Many on here think he should play for England & Hodgson is clueless. Sharp is not good enough some people say. Based on what? 20 minutes of PL football. I have seen Lambert have really poor games. I have seen him be unplayable. IMHO Sharp deserves a chance. More of a chance than Guly & Mayuka. Clearly MP does not agree. Football is about opinions, always will be!

The blue few did get away with it. Would be gutted if I was a Cov fan!

Keep Pressing Forward - Article on Saints

And West Brom. In that situation we need quicker defenders. Mind you in both games we could have scored...................... -
Funny!!

Good Lad!!
-
But games like WBA at home showed the weakness in the system (also poor defending). Attackers with pace can get behind the back 4 & hurt us as we are so far up the park. What I would like is a plan B. Not criticising MP or the style, but being flexible would help IMHO.

Good luck Chappers. Contributed in every game he played!
