  1. Interesting. I think we break way to slowly & Swansea showed us what we should be doing. The long balls they played were often out wide to Dyer & Routledge. Can you imagine if we still had Oxlade Chamberlain?? In the side for Davis or Jay Rod on the left. Could then rotate with Lallana.
  2. If Lallana had Oxo's or Walcotts pace he would have been in the England team a long time ago as IMHO he is a better footballer than both of them.
  3. Just back in rural Shropshire. Enjoyed the game. I texted VFTT at half time & said I didn't know how we were still winning. Fair play Swansea. They move the ball quicker than we do, but we took our chances. MOM for me was Lallana. Boruc & Clyne were excellent as well. I have been critical of Wanyama, but I see what he brings to the team & today showed it especially well. He is a barrier in front of the back 4. Still dont think he can pass, but would rather focus on his ability to destroy the oppositions attacks. Well chuffed! See you at Old Trafford.
  4. Back 5 were excellent. Wanyama is so strong & shields the back 4 really well. He still needs to pass better. Still think we move the ball too slowly, but chuffed we won!
  5. MS was woeful?? Different game than I saw then. IMHO Morgan is better than Wanyama. Therefore he should be the holding midfielder. He was rightly lauded last season, so what do we do? Buy a similar player?? Strange tha!!
  6. Moses is exactly the player we needed in the summer! Its a pity we never got him or a similar type of player IMHO.
  7. Never thought buying a central midfielder was a priority so not sure why we bought him in the first place. It was not just first half against West Ham, it was the whole game he was poor. Yep, he was not the only one, but our game is built on pressure & ball retention. He is physically strong enought to press, but his poor passing means we lose the ball. He is also far to slow to build attacks. Again the team are guilty of that, but we never get out of second gear. That drive should come from central midfield & for me, as yet he has not shown anywhere near enough. It will be very interesting to see how he gets on at Liverpool.
  8. Lallana was certainly not crap. As ever can't criticise Lambert who was worse than Jay Rod. Lallana was more creative than ANY other player on the park.
  9. Very poor today. Very slow going forward with little creativity. Thought Wanyama was poor. His passing was shocking. West Ham were terrible & we still couldn't score!!
  10. Gastons basic salary is £32k per week. Seen his pay slip on a mortgage application. He must of got a whopper of a signing on fee though as he had £450k on deposit. He was Saints highest paid player.
  11. What's interesting about Lyon is the focus on Brazilian's. We can't do that in the UK for work permit reasons. My youngest (6) is at Man U (might only be 10 weeks) & at Stoke City's development centres. I can't get over how different they are. At Man u it's totally focused on ball work. No passing, no shooting, no fitness - everything is about having the skill to beat a man. At Stoke it's about pass & move. Space & awareness. My point is, there are various ways to get success & IMHO Saints are doing it the right way with the youth team, but may well be overpaying in the transfer market.
  12. The cutting edge that our 100 cap player Frank Lampard gives us..................................his free kicks were rubbish, his header at the end was rubbish (great movement though) & his passing was not great either. Personally thought Rickie was poor second half. Gave the ball away too much, but the whole team can accused of that. Thought Cahill & Jagielka were our best players by miles.
  13. The sad thing is they totally ignored the passes for both of Welbecks goals. I dont think Carrick can pass that well & he sits in the middle of Man Utd's midfield. The coaches at Stoke thought he would be found out because of his lack of pace. If im honest I had some sympathy with that, but his performances have been excellent & I hope it continues. What is interesting however is that a number of Northern fans that are clients of mine really rate Jay Rod.
  14. Matt Oakley & Anders Svensson for me. Both really good footballers who retained the ball really well.
  15. I think it says more about the big or wealthy clubs having big squads with players they can't keep happy. Lukaku & Moses would be better placed signing for Everton or Saints or West Brom or whoever IMHO.
  16. A very interesting window. Was never convinced we needed another central midfielder so Wanyama is a bit of 'not sure' for me. Lovren looks very composed & we really needed a centre half so that was perfect. When we signed Osvaldo I was simply stunned we signed Italy's number 9 & we could absolutely do with a goal scorer. But I would have liked a genuine winger with some genuine pace. A player that can take on his man & deliver into the box or have a shot, get fouled etc. Not easy to find, but I would have happily spent the Wanyama money on Moses if he was available. Maybe even Ince. Other point is that I would have preferred to buy British or someone who is already playing in the PL or Champ. I dont want all our signings to come from overseas. They often take time to adapt to our culture & league. So my rating is around a 'B' - good, but can do even better.
  17. RIP David. His son works with me - nice fella too.
  18. IF & IF!!! If Svensson had not got injured we would never have been relegated. I have gone on about pace for 3 seasons. Its not knee-jerk. I said it in the summer again. Its an option we dont have. An option I would like us to have.
  19. Redmond today showed us what we have been missing for a long time. Width & pace. With that in mind I was surprised MP did not play Clyne today who IMHO would have coped better with Redmond & Snodgrass. We are always going to lose games, but we move the ball too slowly & can't really say we played well.
  20. It's both player speed & the speed we move the ball!!
  21. Cheers Deano - great signing for us. Always gave his all, great goal against Leeds!! Good luck!
  22. Funny, because that sent me a link to imasmug****.com.....................It was good to see you maintain your No 1 status!!
  23. What utter bo ll ocks!! You are making yourself look stupid. What I am saying is that a woman's safety is more important than money or property! This could all be made - up, I don't know, but I would happily lose £2000 if it meant a woman was safe in her home & not stalked by some freak.
  24. Yep, woman gets stalked - who gives a ****.............................as i say loads of compassion. Trying to help her (if possible) showing understanding & being a decent human being - leads to new car, rent free & buying her dinner........................weird logic that!
  25. Why?? Because in a decent society which is not all about property rights (oops, it is) a landlord would sit down with the tenant & discuss ways that they could work together to help her & his beloved property. Following on from these questions you may well ask about her family paying him compensation for her being murdered in his property. It all about the money!!!! No wonder society is fu ck ed!!!! Absolutely no compassion!!!
