Said before the game that Clyne should have played. Stand by it too. Clyne is a better player than chambers at the moment. That does not mean Chambers is rubbish or that he wont be excellent, but its his first season in the PL & he is still learning.

Just got in. Well that was rubbish! I predicted we would lose. Waaaaay to slow. Cant think of a player that played well. Thought Chambers had another poor game. Why didnt he head it away rather than back into the middle? Ramirez has some quality, but has failed to show it for quite a while. Davis was poor too. Zaha showed us what we desperately need, PACE!!!!! MP has to take some responsibility today. Cardiff came to defend & Clyne is a lot better going forward than Chambers & every bit as good a defender. Bit fed up tonight!!

Dont like Eddie Howe one bit! The way he treated Burnley was poor & a close friends son (who now plays in L1) was treated shockingly by him when he was at Burnley. Howe lied & made promises only to let the lad go & then stab him in the back for standing up for himself. I would rather Bournemouth than QPR, but that is saying very little indeed!

Johnson is a great player, but from what I am told (No, i cant prove it) is a really bad influence & likes a beer or 12!!!

Doubt we will get in, gutted!! Loved Swansea away last year. Its been a weird season with all my usual away games being played on days i was out of the country. I would sign 4 players. Ruddy or Foster, Caulker, Redmond & try really hard for Lukako, but i dont see that happening. Struggling for other strikers, but keep coming back to a cheeky low ball bid for Crouch. Stop laughing, i think he would fit in. Other possibilities would be Moses, Ings, Wickham, Berahino or Michu.

Those stats show just how good he has been. I find myself focusing on his lack of pace recently forgetting how important he really is. Fair play Mr Lambert - another excellent season!

Both penalties - no doubt. Fonte was stupid. Second is offside, confirmed on TV, 3rd is a mistake by Gazzaniga. Football is cruel. Jay Rod going off changes the game IMHO. Typical Saints!

It was the style of play that stood out. I was in Manchester all day today with clients, some rags, some citeh & various other Northern teams. All of the rags were happy with the draw so when i mentioned 26% possession they just said how good Bayern are. The simple fact that they were chuffed with a home draw & 26% possession shows how far they have fallen IMHO. As for Saints, I honestly believe if we were in the same position with the players we have now (I know its very unlikely) I reckon we would play in exactly the same way we do every week. Push full backs on, maintain the ball & let Adam get creative. So IMHO we are really lucky to have a talented team of young (often English) players who play the game in the right way which is also progressive & attractive to watch.

I would like to bet we would have more than 25% possession! How much money have Man Utd spent?? Should our expectations be the same? Football is about entertainment, about lads, dads & grandads spending time together. Its all about trophies.................................................might be to some, not to me. Dont remember feeling any better after we won the FA Cup than I did after the JPT. Actually JPT was better because 2 of my lads were there. Its about how we play too. Thats why Branfoot was hated so much. Last night shows just how far Man Utd have fallen IMHO. Our aim is not to win the PL. We dont have the money or the fan base.

I went to Old Trafford last night with my 2 youngest lads to watch Bayern as my employer has 4 season tickets. None of us could get over just how 70's Man Utd were! Two banks of 4 which was sometimes 5 sitting behind the ball defending the 18 yard line. At one stage Bayern had 80& possession! It made us realise just how lucky we are to watch a young progressive team each week. Man Utd then hoofed the ball up to Welbeck or Rooney & tried to hit Bayern on the break. In fairness you have to applaud the effort of Man Utd, but no one had the ability to turn the opposition when they had a ball at their feet like Lallana can. Fellaini who has terrorised us over the years was absolutely shocking. Matt LeTissier got grief for not running enough, but this guy makes him look like a Marathon runner. Watching that made me grateful that we have a team with many English, young & talented footballers who are instructed by the manager to play the 'right way'. Dont get me wrong I am still very ****ed off about the cup game at Sunderland, but even then Rickie missed an open goal so it could have been different & we could certainly have more points! Our starting 11 against Newcastle cost about £20m most of which was Rodriguez & Lovren. Man Utd paid a lot more than that for Fellaini! So without being a happy clappy Saints fan, I reckon we should stop & think for a minute about just how good a season Saints have had & how we have played football with style & passion with a team of talented footballers that has certainly made me proud to be a Saints fan!!!

I think he is leaving, but what do i know!! There comes a point where he will want to play CL football & be an England regular. Unless something remarkable happens he wont get that at Saints. That also ignores him potentially doubling, trebling his wages. What fans of other clubs that i know have watched us play them this season keep saying though, is that we look a really tight team. Maybe he wants to stay a part of that for just a little longer??

The second was not a foul. Its really really bad defending! The first is more of a foul, but even then im not sure. The worst thing the referee did was not book Rose for either of the 2 shocking kicks no where near the ball.
