Said it before the game yesterday that I would have started with Reed. His work rate is better than JWP & I think he would have pressed Liverpool higher up the park. That does not make JWP a poor player. Just one in need of a rest.

Had a look on the PL website. Kevin Friend has ref'd Liverpool 5 times in the PL in 2 1/2 seasons & they have never lost! No wonder Rodgers loves him!!!!

Feel very let down by the ref. I agree we couldn't hit a barn door, but game changes completely if we are given one of the penalties.

Little we can do about it. They can at least double his salary. Its the downside to some of these loans. He is twice the player Lovren is!!!

Just back in. We missed a left footed player. Yoshida dud an excellent job defensively, but kept coming back in on his right foot. We lost on outlet by not having Bertrand. IMHO we should have tried to loan a striker in January. Pretty much anyone who could give Pelle a break. Tadic poor again. Ref was shocking!

I don't think he gets the decisions from referees he should. Its as if he has been discussed by referees & they have decided he wont get a free kick. Swansea for me proved it. Gomis could do what he wanted & the ref gave him the decision. Pelle can get pushed, pulled, kicked & generally shoved & he gets nothing. He is vital to what we have achieved. Admittedly he looks knackered though!

Its the first time in 40 years watching Saints that I don't dread each & every away game!! For every Colin Clarke brace at Old Trafford there has been a cold Tuesday at Shrewsbury or Stockport or some other remote outpost loss to remember!!

You can have poor games & still be a decent player. He was woeful in a couple of games. Burnley away springs to mind (in fairness most of the team were). IMHO he is playing well at the moment. Goals bring confidence.

Would have preferred he stayed, but looks like he wanted to go. He's got to live in Swansea though & that's a hell of a cost!!!!
