I didn't say he owed us one. I simply said that winning is no reason to accept poor refereeing. However, what he does owe us is honesty & integrity. He put the whistle to his mouth when Mane was tripped & then put it back down. IMHO, he saw it was Mane & decided to ignore the challenge as he already had a predetermined view of him. Of course I cant prove that. Of course he is never going to admit it, but referees have confirmed that they discuss certain players at meetings who dive.

Be very tempted to play 3-5-2 with wing backs. Also very tempted to drop Tadic. His crossing & decision making yesterday was terrible. Unsure abut Wanyama too. Thought he strolled around yesterday &his passing was rubbish. If there was an alternative to Long I would use them too, but there isn't. Stek Yoshida, Fonte, VVD Cedric, Ryan Davis, Romeo, Clasie Mane, Long Davis, Caulker, JWP, Wanyama, Tadic, Hesketh, Seager Might also make Wanyama & Tadic improve for Scousers.

And he didn't ref us in those games either. I really wonder what actually happens to these guys? Friend last season, Madley this. They just get awarded another game as uf justifying their poor performances.

According to Soccerbase we have never won a league game Mason has refereed in 14 seasons. We beat Stoke in the cup last season & he was ref so 1 game in total & that is through 3 divisions. Those stats are at least 4 standard deviations from the mean which suggests nothing else other than Mason is a complete ****!!

According to Soccerbase when Lee Mason has refereed us in a league game we have never won. The only match we have won was the 3-2 win at Stoke in the cup last season. That's since 2002/2003 season when he came into the league. 14 seasons & zero league wins!!

The Pelle one was a penalty, no doubt. IMHO, refs have decided not to give Pelle free kicks. It's pre determined.

I hear you, but you can understand his frustration at how referees are constantly allowing defenders to foul him without punishment.

Just arrived home after another 180 miles. We were total rubbish. The worst was Tadic. How many crosses failed to beat the first man? How many corners went straight to Butland? He was terrible. He should gave squared the ball to Long in the first half. At least Long was determined. Cedric's crossing was abysmal too. Davis was our best player & he would get a 6 out of 10 at best. Wanyama was rubbish, Bertrand on another planet, Fonte all over the place, Pelle touched the ball about 5 times. That said what has Pelle got to do to get a free kick? How is JWP booked & Adam for studs up, Bojan for elbow & Arnoutovic fir blatant blocking not booked? Mason is appalling. He was completely inconsistent favouring Stoke at every opportunity. We didn't lose because of him, we were total poo!!

When Mane leaves, he will play more!!!

Appalling 2nd half, we couldn't pass for toffee. Mane was totally disinterested for the last 50 minutes. Don't understand us at all........................... Three points though so got to smile.

Ive got a bit of experience with both academies & their sole purpose is to get one player a year from there at best. They want another Messi & sell it to parents as always getting another chance once if you've been at Utd or City & let go. I would rather my kids at Saints & I don't live anywhere near. Mind you, the arrogance of some of these kids is beyond belief. Some coaches even look for it & encourage it. Actually worse I have seen is at Crewe!! I have seen this lad play a couple of times & wouldn't be at all surprised if he follows the same path as his father.

I watched on least 3 occasions his shirt get pulled aggressively & he got nothing. I honestly believe refs go into games with pre-determined views of players. Mane is a diver, Pelle is so big he doesn't deserve a free kick.............................. Out of interest, can someone please confirm that shirt pulling at corners is now acceptable???

Thought VVD, Bertrand & Wanyama were excellent. Ref was poo.

Mane fits the Southampton FC model perfectly. Buy for £5m - £12m, keep for 2-3 years, sell for £20m - £30m. Its inevitable. There is a lad in my middle lads football team who is a Celtic fan because of his dad & grandad. Talking last week to his dad & never realised Celtic's top player is on £30k pw. Ours is £60k pw. The 6 above us in the league pay £100k+ pw. That's why we can sign Forster, Wanyama & Van Dyk. Agents, players & media know this & that's why we will always lose players to teams who pay bigger salaries. They may all say its about ambition, but truth is, its about the cash.................................................

Osvaldo was a total failure. Most businesses have debt in various forms. Its our ability to service it that is the key point. Truth is, we would minimise taxable profits as much as possible. I wonder how much The Liebher family would get for the club now if it were for sale??

Got a condo at Anna Maria Island on the Gulf Coast of America & always go & watch Tampa Bay Rowdies when we are over. NASL, really poor standard, but they serve beer to your seat & the weather is great.......................................
