Just watched the game & have to say we were very very poor. Not one player comes out of that with any credit. Reed, Gallagher, Stephens & Gazzaniga as senior under 21's were undone on numerous occasions. Seager, Hesketh & Sims were not really in the game & were lacking quality. Debayo & Mugabi were very bad. Can see why RK doesn't rate them on that performance.

Seriously, can someone tell me what constitutes a penalty from corners? I genuinely don't know anymore.

Really enjoyed today. My youngest 2 lads loved it even more as they can give it back to the rag fans at school! Clasie, Long, Van Dyk & Bertrand outstanding. All the others apart from Man & Tadic were excellent too. Long's effort today was quite unbelievable. Great to see Morgan get angry as Clasie & Wanyama ran the game. I've given Wanyama loads of stick this season, but he was excellent today. What can I say about Charlie Austin? Dream start, looks strong, determined & great header. 3 clean sheets for Forster. He's not had much to do, but his kicking & presence just makes us better IMHO. Excellent day!!

As a parent who has a number of years experience of lads at Stoke's academy, I reckon Saints academy must be pretty **** as Stoke haven't developed a player since Wilkinson who was rubbish too. Good luck to him, but don't for a second think it's a step up at Stoke, it's not!!

He is a ****! If they hadn't been promoted with us out of The Championship they would have gone bust. They were paying Nolan & others over £50k pw & would have been wiped out. I would be astonished if he is on £100k pw. I would be surprised if it were £80k pw, but I would imagine his signing bonus would have been quite high so it maybe spread over his contract??

Very happy. Forsters presence actually makes a difference IMHO!

I really wanted him to be a success, but he was terrible against Liverpool. BUT, I think he is better than what we've seen. Any player needs a run of games & he didn't get that. Wouldn't be surprised if he does ok there. Don't get me started on Tadic. He's been woeful this season. The flip side of the Old Trafford penalty was the rubbish one at Burnley.

All this ignores the fact that many other teams are using similar systems to scout players. Our black box is not unique, as much as SFC will tell you it is. We would also be foolish to think that it is not being enhanced at Spuds. They have deeper pockets & can certainly pay higher wages!

Saying it for ages, we lack width, pace & too many players are having shockers. Whole spine is worse now than last year. Hopefully getting Forster back in the side will be the start of improved fortunes. Fonte, Tadic, Pelle have been poor thus season. Add in Clyne, Morgan & Toby leaving. Injuries to Jay Rod & Forster & you can understand why we are struggling. I wouldn't spend £2m on Afobe let alone £10m. The winger Graham is better than him.

So Pelle & Jay Rod are injured, Mane is being a ****, Jaunmi has not quite worked out (yet) & Long is not good enough...... I know, let's go & buy a striker for god knows how much without guarantees whilst moaning about losing £46m on Ramirez & Osvaldo.......... And then, let's give a young lad a hard time about not playing much at MKD. I for one am glad he's back. Give him a couple of weeks & get him back in the first team squad, give him a chance. I would rather do that than spend £15-£20m on a foreigner who doesn't want to really be here.

How are we supposed to keep players who can earn at least twice as much at clubs whose facilities & chances of CL football are better than ours? Players with 12 months on their contracts........ People moaning about us not keeping players should go & support Man Utd (oh forgot about Ronaldo), Arsenal (oh forgot about Van Persie), Liverpool (oh forgot about Suarez)..... Citeh & Chelsea keep players by paying 4 or 5 times our maximum wage. I'm waiting for someone to say Everton..............Rooney didn't leave them did he? Be interesting to see if Lukaku & Stones stay in the summer. Don't forget though that Lukaku is on over £100k. £30m for Shaw & people are moaning. It's not RK's fault we didn't get Alderverwield. Stoke are paying £100k pw To Shaqiri FFS! We could start paying £100k pw, but that is no guarantee of success. Frustration for me is not buying young British players like Clyne. Stones & Galloway came from Barnsley & MKD (I think). Do we even scout Champ & below?? Also pees me off how highly Potchetino is regarded. Did any of you go to Sunderland? Remember Osvaldo? The job RK has done since he came here us exceptional & we should be grateful he's still here. Yep, he has made mistakes (who hasn't?) Reed only talks when he can take credit, time for him to talk about recruitment in my opinion. Be careful what you wish for..............
