  1. Great performance, but we took advantage of Liverpool tiring late in the game. Klopp hasn't yet realised that you can't play a high press in March when you're playing two games in a week. Take nothing away from us though. Love it!
  2. Can we have VVD and Fonte with Toby at right back? Imagine that defence with Bertrand at LB and Forster in goal. Add in a firing Big Vic in front of them and we'd have the tightest defence in the league.
  3. Can't believe no one's thought of using the Vanarama advert. With no Vic in midfield it's not working, So what are we going to do? With no Vic in our side we're conceding, So it's time to get you know who. Wanyama! Wanyama! He's the one to call, Wanyama! Wayama! He's the one we want to score!
  4. Or getting a chance to guarantee first team football in the twilight of your career and stay in the England squad.
  5. Wouldn't surprise me to see him on loan at Palace in January. They need a decent striker and Pardew knows him and will play to his strengths.
  6. Does anyone remember a band playing? I think it was the first live sky game v Man Utd in 1992. I think it was Crowded House or Wet Wet Wet or some other drivel. Whoever it was looked at bit miffed at the poor reception they got from the crowd. Sky didn't stick with that experiment for too long. They also had fireworks at the end which went down like a lead balloon when we'd just lost 1-0.
  7. Actually, Arsenal tend to sell out League Cup games when they have reduce pricing. They had 58000 when they played Coventry a couple of years ago. Should be a good atmosphere.
  8. Just been confirmed on sky sports news
  9. Need a 3rd kit away at Stoke and Sunderland though.
  10. Can you do a FM comparison with Lallana?
  11. Agree with this. Shilton was the best goalie in the world when he played for Saints. Don't think any other player can claim to have been the best in their position. People rightly talk about MLT single-handed keeping us from relegation. However, I suspect Shilts did the same in his last couple of years with us. Every week he would make some unbelievable saves.
  12. He should have stayed at Saints for his own development. Looking at the Arsenal stats in the programme last night, it really hit home how few games he's played for Arsenal. Our other young stars should take note. In 2.5 years, Alex Chamberlain has made 42 premiership appearances for Arsenal. Of these, more than half were as a substitute In contrast, in just over 1 year since his debut, Luke Shaw has already made more appearances with 45. Some might argue that Alex has benefited from Champions League football. However he's only made 8 appearances. There's no doubt that playing games is the best way to develop. I believe that Chamberlain would be a better player now if he had stayed put.
  13. When you think about it, he was sacked for consistently finishing mid-table. For what followed later, that was a pretty good record.
  14. Who knows? If another CB gets injured he could get on the bench.
  15. Yeah, like he could only win 8 league titles.
