It would seem that he comes to watch us quite a lot as well. Very often he mentions that he was at St.Marys.
-
So does this mean that they won't be wound up on Monday?

For me the relays are the best entertainment ever at half time. (Thought I'd better put at half time). Long may it continue.

Big feet run in mine!

Doesn't mention Campbell Forsyth. Anyone know what happened to him?

My son was at the Whitehouse last night. Apparently it all happened at about 3 in the morning. He woke me up when he came home at about 4.30 to tell me. -
I thought that as well. In a couple of pictures I noticed he seemed to have a yellow tinge to his face. So sad whatever the cause.

Can someone please explain this. The administrator says that he's looking for 30 million from a buyer. Will this pay back Chandrai what he is owed. If it does, then does the buyer then get to own the ground and then not have to pay him 1 mil per year?
-
I tried a few including Tom Cruise, Cheryl Cole, Alex Ferguson and Dr.Who. Got them all. Didn't get Glen Hoddle tho. I know what I'll be going once the Poopey takeover saga is finished. I'm hooked.

So Chanrai has bought the land from Gaydamak, actually given him the money for it. I don't understand why that is. Has poopey somehow got hold of some money to pay of the taxman, or is it just that there's another consortium coming in on Monday? If Chanrai has paid off gaydamak without any money coming in for poopey, then surely he's just lost 10 mil. I don't understand.

A few years ago, I was listening to the radio when this subject came up. Some bloke came on and said that he'd never phoned in to a radio station before but that what he was hearing made him mad enough to phone in then. Apparently he was a docker, as was his dad and his dad before him, and what he said was this... At some time or other there had been a strike in the Southampton docks. Now Pompey, although a naval docks, had a couple of spaces for commercial shipping. Because the Southampton dockers refused to unload a couple of ships they were sent down to Pompey where their dockers unloaded them. I think what he said then was that the next time the Pompey dockers went on strike the Southampton dockers refused to come out in sympathy. Must admit, he sounded really annoyed about what was being said on the radio and very adamant about the story he gave. So there you go.
-
Yes, that's the one. Thanks. I'll be able to go to sleep tonight now.
-
Can someone help me please? Somewhere on this thread I saw a newspaper article about Pompey, asking why should they get any help. Looking for it again, but I just can't find it. I'd really appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction because, basically, it's driving me mad. Thanks.

My dad was Wladyslaw Jureczko. He had friends who lived in Eastleigh but I don't remember your grandad's name. We lived in Sholing and Weston. My dad lost contact with his family after he was taken by the Germans as a young boy, but found them again through the Red Cross some 25 years later. We went over there when I was 12 years old. My dad died in 1982 and my son was born in 1985. My mum and I would talk about him all the time and tell Lee all about him. It's strange, but my son has a real closeness with my dad and even has his name tatooed on him arm. You're right, we wouldn't be here without them. I did ask my mum once that if she hadn't met my dad would she still of had me. She said ofcouse she would, but I would just have been someone else.
-
Thank you for that. My dad gave me a book that he had borrowed a long time ago. I was much younger then (obviously) and unfortunately never read it. That's one I'll get when I'm in town next. Thanks. Were your grandad and uncle Polish?
-
My dad was Polish. He was 16 when the war started. He was taken prisoner by the Russians one night. Escaped from them and went back home. Two weeks later the Germans came to his home at about 2 in the morning and took him and his sister. Not sure how long he was there for, but he did escape from the camp he was in. He didn't go back home though because he thinks he killed a German guard as he was escaping. From there he went deep into the forest and after a day or so was met by the Polish underground. Stayed with them, but eventually joined up with the Polish army and also fought at Monte Casino. Like your grandad, my dad didn't say much, but I remember one day he was watching a programme on the telly about Monte Casino. He had a few tears in his eyes when they showed the gravestones. I asked him why he was crying and he said, look at those graves, all Polish lads, average age 18 years old. He never said anything about the Americans, but he hated the Germans. Who knows, maybe your grandad and my dad knew each other.

Exactly! I don't think she was ever interested in this man. I think that she just used him as an excuse to kill her sister. Psychopath my eye! I think she was just a nasty piece of work who just liked to cause trouble!
-
Yea, but I thought she was a psychopath because she was willing to kill her sister in order to meet the bloke again. Now she obviously assumed that he knew her sister, so why didn't she just ask her sister for his name, number etc. Could it be that killing her sister was a more fun way to go about it. If that's the case, then she could have just killed her sister anyway. Hang on a minute, maybe she killed her mother as well.
-
Yea, but hang on a minute. The woman didn't know him, so obviously, he wouldn't have known her. So probably, he wouldn't have known her sister either. So, more than likely, he wouldn't have gone to the sister's funeral, so she would have killed her for nothing.
-
Nope, apparently not. He should be for sure, but for some reason he's not been banned. Let's hope that the Police keep a good eye on him this time so that if he tries that trick again he is thrown out - for good.
-
Well we can all live in hope! I'd feel sorry for whoever it is that has to find the oriface.
-
From what I've been told the bell's definitely not coming in.

If any of our players are reading this thread or Pardew this is a MUST WIN game. Someone needs to explain the history of our two clubs so they really understand what this game is all about. I'm not bothered about winning the FA cup, but this game is even more important to us.
