Yep. Crap isn't it?! I share the fears of the majority on this forum. We have a pretty dire manager who is trying to play with Les Reid's fantasy football team, whilst our owner pockets transfer fee after transfer fee and TV rights after TV rights. I think we have failed to replace Wanyama, Mané and Pelle. Until we do so we can't even stand still... We're not mid table material, we are currently relegation material... Many are forgetting the Europa factor. More games less players more reliance on kids. Oh dear. 12 days and counting. Let's keep praying Peul can actually attract some of his players in - good ones. I want to support a club that pushes for European success. So do our players. I agree with your sentiment but if you invest for relegation you get relegation. If you employ a clueless manager and buy mediocre players you get what you deserve. We need a new owner. We need ambition. We need to kick on. We can. But by god we need a new owner to clear out our stupid boardroom and invest in his own manager and some players. Pied is not worth a start. We need to put our solid defence back in place. Pied isn't even as good as Yoshida yet or Puel would have started him last week. So no thanks. Difficult to see what Puel can do without a decent attaching midfielder, reliable striker and decent defending midfielder. Sunderland will nullify the Redmond/Long midfield attack. Let's be clear. If they'd up the pace, if they'd wanted to, if they'd been better drilled and knew the new players better, Man Utd could have totally humiliated us last night. Add that to failing to beat one of the worse teams in the league, 10 man unfit Watford at home... Three people to blame: 1. Owner. Where's all the money? 2. Les Reid. Why are you building a mediocre team? Why sell? Why let an outstanding managerial team go and replace him with an unproven French one plan wonder.... Who's plan doesn't work with the crap players he has been told to use. 3. A managerial team led by Puel who have 8 good players to compete in the PL and Europe. It's a joke - too many fans with heads in the sand holding on to hope rather than admitting the disaster about to happen. It's time to find a buyer. A new owner fast. He needs quality players - that he wants not Les Reids Fantasy Football team on a shoestring. He's going to fail no doubts about it... He's already demonstrating that he has one system he can play (& that's failing) with the players he has. He is not good. But remember why. Les Reid sold the spine of our team. Les Reid has replaced spine with low quality bones. And we need a hip replacement! We have lots of money - 3 years worth of selling quality that has gone straight into our owners pocket - "managing within our means" - bull. Time to get a new owner and a new Boardroom. Puel has no strikers and Long can't play in the role of attacking midfielder. Redmond has been awol. And can't play there either. Puel is clueless. We pass and pass and have loads of midfielders.... And no one to score and pass to. No target man. Puel needs 12 players to play his system! Joke.
