  1. Mediocre team led by good manager beat generally good set of players and Yoshida led by mediocre manager. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Right. New Year not the end of the last as far as Im concerned. Come on Puel.... play the players to their strengths and keep it simple. 4-4-2 would be nice. Davis controlling the feed to Jay Rod and Longy in front of our strong back four. Lots of Tadic on the wing and Boufal too banging in crosses for Longy to bullet header in. Jay Rod to poach away, Strong tackling from Romeu and no Redmond to have to pick for Les. Come on Puel you know you want to. You know it makes sense. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Out for me. I've seen no progression. Each game seems to be 10% brilliance and tempo followed by 90% of cluelessness from the team. He's had more than enough time to stop them from hoofing it away and giving it straight back to the opposition too, who then come back and score. There's little composure in the squad. You could see the shoulders fall when Spurs equalised. At least Puel seems to be more animated on the touchline than when he arrived but he seems to gesticulate more for camera effect than motivation. I sit close enough to the bench to see that he has little or no impact on the players on the pitch. His greatest fault is however totally ignoring the quality we (still) have and insisting on playing a system they dont either understand and can't adapt from when it goes wrong. Koeman had worked out the teams individual strengths and was playing to them. To be fair, took him 6 months but with Koeman there was patience and a realisation that his problems were driven by Boardroom sales rather than a relatively stable squad. Overall? It's not working. 8th place is flattering- more a result of the odd piece of individual brilliance by our half decent team. Puel has added nothing. I think we should remove him asp. BUT... one rule in football is never let the manager go without identifying a better replacement first. Who is there out there? Eddie Howe? Would he leave? Would we pay out to get him - there's one difference with the two, Howe gets some results with mediocre players, Puel gets some results with ok and good ones. I can't see him coming yet - can't see a better replacement who's available, so we unfortunately have one choice - support the manager for the rest of the season. We have a team that still could finish 8th and a manager who'll probably take us to 14th. It won't be pretty football, it will be dull, boring, frustrating and the call for his head will get worse, but we need to start backing our team of some talented players- we need them to stay for the new manager and not give Les an opportunity to cash them in again.
  4. I agree. Worst manager I've seen since Wotte.
  5. I will welcome Koeman - best manager we've had in recent years. He'd have honoured his contract and stayed this season if the Board had not been greedy and wanted money for him and cashed him in. Now we have Puel. One Ronald Koeman.
  6. ... bored of watching our team slow down and let the opposition regroup when we can break out. Puel hasn't got a clue.
  7. There isn't any attacking play under Puel. We were lucky yesterday - very lucky. Still think we'll finish 14th. Puel has taken a team of good players and made them into mediocre ones. No flare - no chance of scoring more than one in a game if we're lucky with Puel's system. Useless coach IMHO. No-one listens to him Only time we looked dangerous was when Jay Rod and Longy came on and ignored Puels system. Well done to JVD and Forster without them we'll be joining Swansea... wonder if they'll stay much longer.
  8. Same every game Ottawa
  9. Scratching my head on how we managed it.
  10. Can't believe I'm agreeing with Daley and Alpine. But you're both 100% right.
  11. There's lots for you though.
  12. Puel is why we lack energy and ideas. Les' luck has run out.
  13. His last third organisation is useless. His use of the players talents is useless. He's playing a system not the qualities of his team. Puel is silent on the bench. Watch him, he sits down most of the game. Passion and determination? Leadership? Worst manager we've had since Wotte.
  14. And you're surprised - Puel has had them all doing this all season. Davis is not crap people. The managers requirements of him are. We have good players but a poor manager.
  15. Puel has no idea how to sort out the final third. Clueless.
  16. If these rumours of Man Utd coming for him are true it's time to send a clear message to our owner and Boardroom that we have had enough of selling our best. Something that says we support them and our current ownership provided this policy of selling our best stops. If not sell up and go. Something that shows our support for JvD. I suggest a round of applause in the 17th minute at the next home game. A positive two minutes applause for JvD and a warning to our Boardroom we support them but have had enough of selling the best. 17 = JvD.
  17. Oh and McQueen.... !!! Does he take free kicks? The new Bale.
  18. Getting better! Although we still look like we run out of ideas in the last third. Puel still vacant for most of the game from the touchline. Redmond lightweight, but a tricky player to play against when he gets going - play him on the wing please. Austin needs to be more clinical... but you can't fault them both for scoring today! For me MOTM was Heaton (!) but on our side I'm going for Classie. He was awesome in the centre today, creative. Deft touches. Easy to miss his contribution. Overall, Burnley were shocking don't forget - less their keeper - we need to be more clinical upfront and work on some ideas for the last third. But our Defence is sound, Keeper didn't make a save, midfield is largely improved. I'm starting to believe again. Roll on Thursday!!!

Puel sticking with his bad plan again at Arsenal. When we lose it will be time to question whether he is good enough. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
