  2. Koeman would have won that game. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Best team lost. Best fans won. Best manager got the result. Well played our depleted team. Badly led but gave their all. Goodbye Puel. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Rainieri is available! Always replace a manager when you have someone better lined up - the rule should be to improve. So I suspect this is good decision for Leicester. Mancini is quality. Strikes me their players are premadonnas and backstabbed him on the back of their own failings though. Leicester are not afraid to get rid of a failing manager when it appears there's someone better available. For what it's worth Ranieri is far better than Puel. And he's available. EFL Cup failure shouldn't stop us from replacing him before the transfer window so that a new manager can bring his own players in during the summer and not rely on Les' selections. All in all, right now, parking the EFL Cup emotions, I'd take Ranieri over Puel! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Puel is a legend. Awesome manager. Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Bloody hell! Loving Gabbiadini today!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I think I'd like a high quality animated Italian or German manager, but I'd settle for Eddie Howe now if on a long term contract. Puel MUST be sacked - soon rather than later. Saints are in free fall, 7 points above relegation. This isn't funny anymore. The useless French manager has finally got the team playing his boring football and tactics. And guess what? His one plan game fails anyway! He has mismanaged key players - our captain Fonte a classic example. His departure has by default destroyed our excellent defence. He has good players playing his awful - ineffective- system against their own personal qualities. Instead of maximising their potential (and satisfaction) he is ruining their confidence. Jay Rod was poor yesterday- lost in a Puel quagmire of depressing tactics and lack of inspiration. Don't get me wrong it's not all Puel's fault. Our untouchable owner Katerina has pocketed profits, failed to invest, failed to give Les Reed enough to invest in our Defence, buy a decent attacking midfielder, buy a wanyama replacement and a good second keeper. I reserve judgment on our new Italian striker - but I predict his morale to follow Longy and Jay Rods under Puel. Les Reed has also screwed up royally. Appointing Puel, losing Koeman, failing to replace Mane, Wanyama. Buying players who are made of glass like Pied and Boufal. But at the end of the day you can get away with weakened teams if you have a genius general in charge. Koeman provided that. PottyChino provided it, but Les and Katerina let them both down and most of all us - the fans - by selfish weakening of the team. And the ultimate disaster - Puel as manager. We are imploding- Katerina and Les have ridden their luck - thank you Koeman for the golden days. Bring on the Chinese(?) - not sure. Partnership with Katerina and Les? Nah. Time for a clear out top to bottom. Southampton FC is for sale and can still be saved - but we need to SACK PUEL and keep our best players. They are still good - they need an inspiring manager, we deserve it. We deserve a new owner too. One who invests for success. And we need one fast. Finally, we need a clear out and shouldn't be afraid to let our Championship quality leave - Yoshida, Reed, JWP, Clasie, Jay Rod, Redmond, Pied, Boufal - not good enough or not robust enough. ..... and stop playing that awful My Way song st the start of games. It's embarrassing and useless!!! Rant over. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. So far he's destroyed morale, mismanaged our captain, dismantled our good defence, brought in pretty weak signings (Pied who?), stuck to the same useless tactics and bores me senseless. Puel out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Totally had enough of Claude Puel. Wish we still had a team and Fonte as captain. Puel is terrible. Poor management. Same old rubbish tactics. Clueless and negative. Worst manager since Wotte. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. SACK PUEL PLEASE. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Puel has to go. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. And I agree with Clarke - club should refund us. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Mediocre manager + kids + poor Danish midfielder = disaster. I would let 6 of those players go in the summer. Appalling team selection - why shouldn't we have had a crack at a second cup run? Only reason not to pick a better side was - 1. To see if you have depth in the squad (Answer is no) 2. So as not to risk any further injuries as you Boardroom are refusing to buy you a replacement CB (or two!) and a striker. (Oh dear). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Puel had no choice. No players and nothing else to do but defend. You can't win anything with kids. Time to buy a quality striker and centre back. Time to spend URGENTLY. Reinforcements needed. Not transfer money pocketed. I still don't rate Puel, we won as a result of a hungry attacking youngster and a striker doing his job in the last few minutes - that's how to do the last third of the pitch! Well done Sims and Longy for going against the managers instructions to park the bus and keep hoofing it back to the opposition. Puel is mediocre. Some of our players are great, most are good. Romeu, Forster, Sims and Longy won that game through individual performances. I don't buy this Puel love in I'm afraid.... But happy to be proven wrong. I won't be as long as the gradual erosion of our team is allowed to take place by selling players and failing to reinvest and bring in a quality manager. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I think Leicester were clueless- Puel kept to the same formula. 15 mins of attacking football followed by a bit of clueless hoofing. Luckily Yoshida only made one potential goal losing mistake instead of 3. We need a quality CB urgently. Redmond missed loads as usual. And Puel had obviously told him to stand close to the corner takers which was a colossal waste of time. Hoeberg was shocking and needs some shooting practice. BUT! Rest played well Romeu growing on me. We were the slightly less clueless of the teams - bad management by Leicester and mediocre by Saints. I hope he proves me wrong and takes us to Wembley tomorrow.... but I doubt it. Still don't rate our manager despite the result - some of our players deserve the credit for that one, not him. 16. It's because we have a poor manager and a club run by people who want to make the owner money on player sales and cruise along just in the Premier League. But it won't work - we are doing a Swansea. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Brilliant- someone should print this off and put it on Puels desk tomorrow Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Yep - Puel is either the most unluckiest manager we have had in recent times or the worst. 13th and falling... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. The players were the same ones who used to not let us down. Manager is the only real difference. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Puel's decision to play a young keeper ultimately did for us yesterday. There's a rot in our club that needs drastic action. An owner that's not really bothered despite her father's legacy, a Boardroom becoming increasingly disengaged and who's luck ran out over their model of player sales last summer - which coincided with their appointment of a poor manager. A team who's finest players will increasingly want out and will remain irreplaceable. We risk doing a Swansea. Either KL sells up quickly, without cashing in on player sales beforehand. (Some hope), then we get a manager in the summer. Or, we find a new manager quickly- if the latter is accompanied by keeping all of our talent in Jan in order to regain our team morale and confidence. Then we stand a chance of stopping the rot fast. For me - it's time to sack the manager & stop player sales. Neither options look likely. And I have no idea who to replace Puel with. You shouldn't replace a manager unless you have a better one ready to go. So it's looking like an impasse. But bottom line either way is NO PLAYER SALES IN JANUARY. Only our good will go. With a track record of lack of reinvestment of player sales money, only KL benefit in the short term. Puel has a worse toolbox, morale decreases, fan patience will fall. Tough calls in what is fast becoming the biggest crisis of the Liebherr era. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I think the only way we will get a new manager this season will be when we get a new owner and Boardroom. Time to encourage Ms Leibherr to sell before she cashes in even more of our better players? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Wrote something similar to this on the last game and might as well write it again.... OK team with good manager beat OK (+) team of frustrated out of position players led by mediocre manager. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Difficult to argue with that. Did Puel say we lost because we were tired? And Everton weren't subject to a similar Christmas schedule??????!!!!! Something is badly wrong. Top to bottom. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Need a better replacement before we sack Puel. Mind you the list grows longer every game! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Boufal is a ray of hope. But needs a decent coach to bring him through. Someone who has half an idea of the Premiership. I agree will almost all the comments on this thread about our owner, Boardroom, manager and players. We will survive- just - I said 14th and I'm sticking by that because there are worse teams than us, not because we have an investing owner, caring Boardroom or decent manager to coordinate our talent. Worry if Virgil and Fonte are cashed in this January. Worry a lot and look closely at Swansea. We are not well run. Our team has talent and is not well led. We don't deserve this.
