According to The Telegraph Bayern are looking at Boruc! Another one bites the dust.....?
-
That is good too though!
-
Mmmmmmmmmm. Understandable analogy, and honourable sentiment. I like it and Lallana deserves everything he gets. We should keep it.
-
He'll never train alone
-
Yep. I agree. Nice to hear they are struggling though.

Well what we have left that played Bournemouth was pretty much a Saints reserve side. All we have left at the moment!

Out of interest, why is this thread a sticky?

Taïder Joins on 1 year Loan & Osvaldo to Inter - Official
SaintRobbie replied to itchen_dan's topic in The Saints
Another loanee. No money spent. Judgment day is a month away Krueger. £92m so far in, £20m out. £72m to go (not counting the £50m that we had from Premier League TV money already - wages and training ground, with money to spare?). £72m still to go Krueger and Reed... -
BBC Article - The inside story of the great Southampton sell-off
SaintRobbie replied to Donatello's topic in The Saints
'There was no attempt to persuade Lallana or Shaw to stay. Not once did a club official hold talks with the players to ask them to reconsider, to delay their moves.' I doubt the integrity of BBC reporting less than I do the integrity of our Boardroom. -
He's right.

some good banter tonight!

He is. He is.

Brighton score...

Must admit it is grating the amount of posters who are quick to criticise an opinion. It does put people off sharing gems.

Cos we are not spending the transfer money as KLs selling and running?
-
Lol. We will walk the Championship next season!

Says Stephen Davies got the second on OS
-
Good goal!

Another reason why he's off? Krueger was the man picked to make the announcement he was staying. Can't help but think he's being set up for his own sacking.
-
Call me old fashioned but I thought friendlies were all about reaching match fitness. If anything you'd want him to play at least a half to gain some fitness. He's off.
-
SSN reporting he's back in training but will not play tonight at Brighton. He's off.

I have to say this is one transfer I don't believe.
-
Regardless Clarkey, I can't see him staying. I guess by finally being hard nosed we may have made a little more money on the deal by forcing him to put in a transfer request. Also, if I was Jay Rod I'd be a little deterred to do something similar (although refusing to sign a 5 year contract in my eyes is just as much of a snub to the club as Spider-mans tweet). Showing steel now is a little late though. Eelpie put up a very good thread a couple of weeks ago that was mirrored by a very good article in the Guardian yesterday on Saints plight. Simply, the most important rule in football is not to let a player (or manager for that matter) go until you have a replacement. We failed to show the steel early enough and failed to do the basics. In my role I have always removed those who fail to do the basics. Actually, when it say 'we' I mean the Board. We the fans on this message board were generally calling for robustness at the start of this debacle as the great Rickie Lambert left. Liverpool showed steel and guile. We were amateurish. I hope they've learnt lessons - if I was the owner (& was staying around) I'd be looking for a replacement for Krueger and either an experienced minder for Reed or replacement. I'd be looking first at the man running Liverpool's behind the scenes set up. Now that would be a coup of a transfer - and we have the money to tempt anyone.
