  1. I think you're wrong. Indeed... talking more kak. Those who quote WGSs success in getting us to an FA cup final forget he left soon after because of Lowe's failure to support him. Draw a simple graph of Saints success over Lowe's involvement at the Club and methinks it contains a red line that continually falls away, base it on League position - afterall the league table never lies. Southampton IS an attractive investment and IS worth buying. Why? Because we actually have the biggested fan base in the South of England. One I admit that is being slightly eroded once more as the youth shy away elsewhere as we continue to fall under Lowe. Fans are staying away because Lowe's plan is failing. C3PO and the kids are simply not good enough. This club has the infrastructure. It has the city - a VERY important city to the UK. A city that is the centre of trade for this Island nation... thus a sound place for any wealthy investor who wishes to enter the gateway of the UK for further spoils should consider starting... (and you can park you yacht here! ) But seriously, if you can't sell this Club - and I believe with the fans, infrastructure and city factor it is the biggest in this league and arguably one of the biggest potentially in the Premiership. Our city rocks! This is why I think a consortium of fans, Greats and Southampton City Council members needs to be put together under a banner - being used by Newcastle and Pompey at the moment. An honest statement that reads - THIS CLUB IS FOR SALE... Sleeping giant is Southampton FC , failing business minnow is Southampton Leisure Holdings Youth team plc.
  2. I agreed with your observation. My point is that HR couldnt work with Lowe's daft ideas, just as any other half decent manager we've had over the past 12 years from WGS right through to Glenda Hoddle. The point I am making is whilst Harry was very unprofessional - he was right to observe he was warming SCWs seat, right to note he would not be supported by a crap interfering chairman and the situation - just like with those who came before him - was a pointless one to continue with. Lowe broke HRs enthusiasm - lets be quite clear. Lowe broke WGS's enthusiasm and the rest of our good managers. HR is a good manager - but is traditional in his approach. And it works - FA Cup and European football with Pompey was easy to predict when he left us. HR has his way of doing it - the traditional British manager way. One I wish we used. I think to blame HR for his lack of professionalism in seeing through his contract is fair. But you need to identify where the real cancer is by looking above and around the tuma sometimes. The answer sits before us just above the clock in the Itchen stand every couple of weeks. I wish we'd kept HR and not had Lowe and a plc. One owner, one vision, one manager.
  3. It was obvious to many of us in the summer that his experiment would fail, that gates would fall, that he would divide the club, that failure would lead to falling share prices, that simply having him back destroys any confidence in the club, plc, team and fans. Now - Lowe does have to go. No doubts at all. In fact, he should NEVER have been allowed to return by Wilde in the first place. We do not need Wilde either or any of the parasitic boardmembers who have lead this plc before club any longer. However, to remove them we need a takeover (not investment - a takeover). So, how do we do that? WE SELL THIS CLUB. How do we sell this club? 1. Make it difficult for Wilde and Lowe to want to stay. 2. Assemble a consortium of greats, respected fans and Wilde along with members of Southampton City Council / local MPs. 3. The Sales consortium do what Newcastle and Pompey have just done and tell the world we're for sale and a sleeping giant. 4. We take the first decent offer we get - SISU in retrospect wouldve done to tide us over for a bit - mark my words Coventry, SISU and Coleman will be knocking on playoffs door this season or next whilst we fal. 5. We get a new manager - rule number 1 of running a football club - get the best manager you can and support him... we have Lowe's robot - who even looks like C3PO FFS! 6. We get optimism again. 7. We return. Been typing since the summer and not changed my mind in the slightest.
  4. Fair point. Would need to be an emasculatingly high investment though for Lowe to lose influence. In a funny way I'd like to see him on a board... answering questions continually to the new owners why he made so many foolish decisions.
  5. Nick Illingworth is indeed a loyal fan and has written well in the past. But, Nick lost credibility amongst many fans during the last regime when it appeared that he was acting more like a puppet for the boardroom rather than challenging the continuance of daft decisionmaking that goes hand in glove with the plc leadership. He has thus been labeled by some as too close to the centre of the j boardroom this club has had to endure for many years now. Shame. This club needs a fan leader with credibility to challenge this badly run club boardroom and encourage its sale soon rather than later. Nick could've been that man. I doubt he could now though. Back to the general point though: Coventry were indeed below us but I think the point being made was that they were always likely to be safe, whereas Saints et al had the work to do. Leicester did indeed screw up their chance if we're honest. NP didn't. How things will change this season... NP will promote with Leicester. Coventry will finish well above us with a decent manager in Coleman and a SISU takeover. We have Rupert back, kids and C3PO.
  6. Which is exactly where we're heading under Lowe and Wilde. Takeover I think please. TAKEOVER not investment.
  7. This will attract unwarranted attention from the Harry is Satan fraternity but... I'm sorry but HR has said nothing there that I disagree with. The problem with the club relegating may be partly down to HRs eventual disloyalty in failing to bounce us straight back up again and no doubts HR is technically wrong as we were not in a relegation spot when he took over. However, the Club was falling due to its strategic leadership (Lowe) for sometime. Lowe failed to invest under WGS's reign despite pleads from wee Gordon for reinforcement - that inevitably led to WGS leaving for a 'knee operation' [coughs...bull****]. Harry right - Saints were going down before we asked him to perform a miracle - he tried (even bringing his own son in to give us our badly needed midfield so craved by WGS) but it was probably too late given the barren January transfer window. So, HRs assessment is right. I know who I'd prefer to have at the club right now if I had to decide between Lowe and Harry. Loser or winner? You decide.
  8. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.... SHEARER! SHEARER! lol Anyone who can get odds on Shearer as next manager please let me know - worth a punt methinks.
  9. CB YOU are a Fool - read the question set. Then, please have the audacity to intelligently examine what is written and constructively criticise. CB - Lowe IS and HAS BEEN the problen at this club. For what he is and what he represents. Take it on the chin and swallow you're own pride and ideas - you're dull mate. I'm afraid I am bored of those holocaust denyers like you my friend. It is a fact... since Lowe arrived we fell...continue to fall ... and I predict (without too much difficulty) a continue slump. FACT. FACT. FACT. Lowe = failure. FACT. Now ... give me a better - more intelligent reason for the reason for the decline of this once Premiership club and I'll agree with you. Until then - keep telling everyone the Jews were never gassed and global warming is a myth.
  10. Make no bones about it - Lowe has every intention of bring SCW back. He seriously will not take the fact he has been wrong, continues to be wrong and will try and prove he was a genious. Well Lowe SCW is as big a joke as Clifford and JP. Sorry but Lowe does not understand one simple fact... He is incompetant, lacks any confidence from all but Scooby, and will continue to destroy this club whilst being allowed to continue. Lowe is simply... ARROGANT AND STUPID. HE DOES NOT repeat NOT give a stuff for Southampton FC only his failed business reputation. He is a failure (proven) and continues to be one. Until he leaves this club for good we shall continue to be a laughing stock. Its time to get Lowe and Wilde OUT of this club. Time for a revolution.
  11. No - you have to look slighty bigger and target the man who appointed him. There is no doubt in shareholders, fans and boardrom eyes - as well as former stars of this once great club - the sole blame (ongoing) for the plight of our club is: RUPERT LOWE AND THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE PLC. Fact.
  12. Agreed. Cambsaint - I watched the game in the Sir Issac Newton pub in Camb today and wished i hadnt! Fancy meeting up for a beer? pm me.
  13. Sick of saying 'I told you so'. Coleman and SISU versus Lowe and youth. Appalling. Predictable. Lucky not to be 7-1. Lovely passing football in midfield with appalling defence at left and right back and no end product. We are going down under Lowe/Wilde/JP and the kids. We had a choice in the summer...and the board chose Lowe. Sorry but it's time to really make life difficult for Lowe and Wilde. If we continue to allow their ineptitude to continue we are destined for a VERY poor season. WE MUST START SINGING FOR A BOARDROOM CHANGE WHILST THERE'S STILL TIME. (sigh) why oh why couldnt we have got Chris Coleman?
  14. As I say Weston, it is just another part of the great jigsaw puzzle and soap opera that is Southampton Leisure Holdings plc and youth team. Given the plethora of other moments of history within the declining plc under Lowe's direction (I refer of course partly to lack of shareholder and market confidence generated by the ever falling share price as well as other great Lowe mistakes and constant awkwardness over the years...) my intuition tells me that that piece of the jigsaw has a very good chance of being correct. Problem is, why? Personally methinks when you're a nobody handed a small building business and some retirement homes and you suddenly become a 'somebody' when gifted shares in a club that means nothing to you in sports terms or as a fan, I suppose its hard to give it up - even if you are a failure at leading it and continue to prove to be one. I have have no doubts Lowe is being awkward. He just needs to stop being so as soon as possibly or we continue to guarantee (nearly typed 'risk' there) relegation with his Total 'Folly' Football plan. Anyway out of posts today. Chat soon ol' friend.
  15. Thanks Long Shot. It is posters like you that make this forum valuable. Please disregard the cynics who will and would get stuck into you for daring to raie hopes etc. Every post like yours inserts another piece of the jigsaw puzzle and I would point fans to the bold piece I have highlighted above as being most important. What we - the fans - do about Rupert's inflexibility is worth a debate. Personally, I'm off to try and get odds on Shearer as next Saints manager...unless anyone's beaten me to it? What do you think at this stage 10/1?
  16. Scooby - please note the shareholder's confidence in Mr Lowe. Thank you.
  17. .... Steve are you admitting all of a sudden that people are interested in buying the Club afterall?
  18. LOL. An OG and a penalty against one of the CCC new boys and worst teams in the league - and a disallowed Donny goal - and we're suddenly the Dutch World Cup winning side again! Great - badly needed - result and chuffed to bits for the team, but we're still going down IMHO. The good thing is that it gives the takeover team and Shearer a chance to keep us up from January onwards....if we're lucky enough to see the Knights on white horses arrive soon of course... or are they an emergency service. Scooby's posts... precious.
  19. mmmm.... but they have MEN like Mpenza, a real manager and I would put money on them staying up in the CCC around mid-table or playoffs this season. We are going down.
  20. Absolutely spot on. Simon Clifford II. Lowe bluffer extraordinaire and if I may say so looked terrible, defeated and so utterly inept during the last home game that I and those around me were itching to jump up behind him and shout; 'Instill some fekking desire and will to win into this team Portaloo you useless Lowedite'... but of course the team needed just a little support at that stage. Tell you what if Keano thinks some of the Sunderland fans are giving him a hard time near the dug out JP better start preparing to turn up in an Army helmet and flak jacket for the next home game.
  21. OK... we have about 7 players who could be ok at CCC level, the rest are League 1 or 2 at best.... Skacel John Killer Perry Schniederlin Lalana Dyer .... so if you're Lowe what would you do if your team were in the relegation zone and showing signs of getting worse rather than better... yes! You put out Dyer on loan!! Genius Lowe...our very own on the cheap Director of Football and business legend. Also... of course... while you're at it: 1. You insist on Your Cloggy-Cliffordesque bluffer coach plays David McNopace instead of Stern John. 2. Disallow Skacel's inclusion due to appearance fees. 3. Allow your clueless coach to play Killer in an unimportant match thus potentially ruling him out until January. 4. Allow your clueless coach to only play sneiderlin for 70 mins at most when he's clearly a decent player... mind you, you wouldnt want to burn him out before selling him to Arsenal afterall. 5. Let your clueless coach leave Perry on the bench and play more children who get themselves sent off. 6. Wait for a better bid before selling Lalanna. ...and people think RedKrapp was a plant? Agent Lowe come back to Pompey, job almost complete. I wonder what Armstrong and Miller would have to say about Wilde, Lowe and JP....? "KILL THEM!"
  22. Not with kids.
  23. S outhampton L eisure-Holdings P LC ....lol ok I cheated but you get my point
  24. Merrington is absolutely correct. JP has not even master Plan A yet and certainly does not have a Plan B 4-4-2 up his sleeve just in case. What's more - he watches dvds of the opposition in order to work out whether to play Plan A or errrr..... err..... well I think you get my point. Total football has failed as predicted. JP does not know this League. We are going down under Lowe's experiment and a coach who does his bidding and fails to deliver. What is really important to note is that we are actually getting worse not better... you'd have thought JP would've had the kids master Plan A by now to be honest...but Plan A keeps getting worse.
