http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/3807122.Saints_due_to_dish_out_a_hammering/[/url] JP: He says 'We are due to thrash a team in the CCC soon!'

LOL. We'll get thrashed.
-
Underwhelmed.

I WANT WILDE - WHO READS THIS - TO TELL THE WORLD NOW SAINTS ARE FOR SALE. Do it Mike - stop this utter foolishness and lets ALL club together to put a strategy together (without Lowe) to sell this Club. We can do this. We need some greats like MLT, Lawrie Mac, fans representatives and the City Council to get together with Wilde and make a very public announcement that the Club is for sale. Then we accept Lowe's crap plan is a failure and everyone does what we can to SELL this club as publically as possible. If we are not taken over by January we are no longer heading for League 1 IMHO... we WILL head down to League 2 with our empty ground and VERY LITTLE PRIDE LEFT. Get off your arses Illingworth et al. Start doing something constructive - START PUTTING WILDE AND THE COUNCIL UNDER PRESSURE TO SUPPORT THE SALE OF THIS CLUB.

Utopian idea this really... now lets all take our realist pills and contemplate the solution.... No chance of the boardroom uniting. Get them all out - lets all unite as fans and tell the world we're for sale and willing to take ANYONE with some cash who's prepared to get rid of this joke boardroom and joke football team and fraud of a coach. By the way it has to be completed by January or we will relegate and more than likely hit administration in League 1 anyway.

Lawrie Mac making a veiled attack on Lowe with his position in this article methinks. Not surprising... indeed quite clever. I think the answer to this debate is 'it depends who it is'. If your DoF is a footballing genious who is very well connected internationally as well as in the UK then you're laughing. If it's Rupert Lowe giving the kids a pep talk before last nights game I'd afriad it is a joke of a system. Traditional British management works still in the English game unless you have a very well thought of DoF. There are not many DoFs in English football who are well thought of or who have the international transfer experience to make it work. So the answer for Saints? Go back to a traditional manager set up ... NP wouldve given us that system and I suspect we all know we wouldnt be going down quite as dramatically as we are now. DoF at Saints is an arrogant failing businessman who wont admit he's a failure. Can't be healthy.

Loss by 3 goals unless Coventry get bored after going 2 goals up.

How long until the first Lowe Out chant starts tomorrow?
SaintRobbie replied to Huffton's topic in The Saints
'Swing Lowe...swing Rupert Lowe.... swing him from the Itchen bridge Swing Lowe... swing Rupert Lowe.... swing him from the Itchen bridge.' All time irony favourite of mine that one. For those fans who say don't sing until the end or sing at half time because we need to support the team - you usually have my wholehearted support. However, I fully endorse the fact that as the children under their babysitter Portaloo are likely to lose by 3 goals to a team that is not better man for man but has a manager who knows what he's on, abuse at Wilde and Lowe should start on the whistle and finish at the end whistle . -
Agreed 100%. My plea to Pootvliet is; 'leave now you clueless fraud'. Put Wotte in charge.
-
On refusing to get WGS the badly needed midfielder he wanted from Fulham (Malbranque)... 'We don't deal with small Clubs'. ****.
-
Absolutely spot on. Well said. But - we also now need to force the 2 fools out and I suspect that will involves the more foolish fans resorting to Brandfoot style eviction tactics. I am not thus coming to SMS, because I sense it will now start to get messy. The first thing I want to hear from Mike Wilde on Monday is... 'Southampton FC is For Sale - we wish to sell to the best bid before the January transfer window'. Lowe is a cancer.
-
What's the point anymore? I tried to support the club under Lowe despite warning all this would happen back in the summer and threatening to boycott. Now? I am staying away until Lowe and Wilde sell this Club and leave it for good. Why? Because I made one prediction in the summer that has yet to materialise but its about to... the fans will now start to protest and it will get nasty at SMS. I am not bringing my kids to watch this.
-
Protest. Sing loud and fetch the banners and book the Air Ads plane again and let the press know. At least we'd have some entertainment at SMS that way. Time to make life VERY difficult for Lowe and Wilde.
-
OK - enough is enough. I had said I would boycott Saints when Lowe returned - but I continued to go and support the lads. No longer. That's it - I'm out. John was the last decent player who MIGHT have saved us again this season. We are going down unless we get rid of Lowe and Wilde before Xmas and see a takeover at SMS.
-
Agreed. McGoldrick needs some more months rebuilding his confidence in the reserves. John is critical - arguably the only player we have who may just score enough goals to keep us up. His goals per game ratio is one of the best ever for a Saints player. If this is true - I have no reason to doubt it given Lowe's history of outright foolishness - then I think its time to start singing and producing the banners again.
-
I smell desperation from JP if he's saying that sort of thing. Also - now he's said this every CCC referee in the division will now watch Saints for professional fouls. So benefit of the doubt unlikely to follow us now... we are officially a cheating side. JP is a fekking idiot. Congratulations muppet... or should I say puppet?
-
Result proves one thing. Weith some men you can get a draw. With kids we tend to lose. So... as JP is here to run a schoolboy side at Lowe's behest my logic tells me we can survive if we: a. Buy men in January. b. Get a new manager to MANAGE them not coach kids. In order to do that we hound out Lowe and Wilde and take the first takeover between now and the transfer window. Otherwise? I know we're going down.
-
Sounds points from Alpine here. The questions answers are likely to be: Lowe will continue to interfer... based on a plethora of historical examples. So he will not permit him to play our (fans) best team (MEN) - perhaps JPs team will be played until it fails but then it will back to Lowe's crap again. Answer is until Lowe has nothing to do with this Club again he will always interfer. JP - on current evidence - lacks knowledge of the CCC. He lacks knowledge of his team players. He is restricted from above. He lacks the ability to take decisions in a match - relying completely on Wotte. So, he will continue to set up for games badly due to lack of knowledge and continue to lose the confidence of fans and players alike as he is clueless once a game begins... he freezes. I have watched him fo 3 games very closely. He relies entirely on a frustrated Wotte to get him to make a decision. Answer: JP can't do it but Wotte MIGHT be able to. All in all I think Lowe will interfer and JP ... well he's another Simon Clifford. He's a fraud who's duped SCW and Lowe.
-
Key here is just how good John is. But of course Lowe/JP keep him on the bench and play a very very poor falling in confidence McGoldrick... ineptitude.
-
I am feeling slightly vindicated.
-
Would this current Saints side survive in league 1?
SaintRobbie replied to gjphilsaint's topic in The Saints
League 1 midtable at best IMHO - but arguably could be improved to playoffs with a real manager who understands the league like Pearson perhaps!? We'll find out this time next season won't we Mr Lowe? -
You have a good point or two to make here but I am bored of reading comments from the few on here highlighted in bold above. It's like listening to a Jewish holocaust denier. Lowe has been involved as Chairman or Boardmember in the decline of Saints since he arrived. Just plot the bloody league position graph and draw an average line. GOING DOWN. However, you are right to say that all we can do is keep supporting the team - a la Illingsworth - but I'm afraid I can no longer sit on my arse and watch Lowe continue the embarrassing slide. I offer one contructive idea - that fans, City Councillors, Wilde and MLT and other Greats get off their arses and SELL this club before Lowe kills us for good. **** me it has to be better than doing nothing and hoping! I completely disagree with the roll over and die negative do nothing punch drunk fan approach - always have. Its pointless having the bigggest fan base in the South and rolling over like puppies. Let's do something. Lets SELL THIS CLUB. If not, if anyone wants me to protest with them let me know. Banners, Airads, demonstrations against Wilde and Lowe please count in a 40 year old family man with you children.... Mr Average Saints fan (unwilling to roll over for Lowe's final destruction of something so dear to every reader of this and the City of Southampton. Saints = pride).
-
Ironically, the same keeper who is on for becoming our player of the season at the moment despite letting in on average 2-3 goals per game at the moment! I'm sort of agreeing with you but I hope you see the irony... he's one of our best players! Why? Because he's a man.
-
I was going to post a thread asking the question above. Do you regard Mr Jan Portaloo as a puppet (for Lowe) or just a muppet? But I suppose this thread will do. I have been studying JP for 3 matches now - watching his 'dug out presence' if you like - testing his leadership ability. And I tell you what... he is clueless and freezes when a decision is needed. Next time we have a game watch him. Watch how he looks puzzled until around the 70th minute or so before a frustrated Wotte steps up behind him and there's a chat - initiated by Wotte - and suddenly we see a substitution. I now know why Wotte has come here - JP is a fraud. Sorry but I think JP is fekking rubbish. He has no plan B and zero presence. He does not understand this league or the teams within it. He is clueless. He demonstrates to me why he was so uninspiring in the Dutch leagues every game I watch. Muppet? You bet he is. Now let's remember where he came from - Sir Clive Woodward. A recommendation to Lowe a while ago to replace Harry. You remember SCW, the man who gave us the eye gym and that other great footballing fraud - Simon Clifford? It appears that Lowe can only attract frauds. Yet as Director of Football by default Lowe is certainly refusing to allow him his full squad. So, does that make JP a puppet? You bet it does. So, for me it's now clear - JP is another Lowe sacrificial lamb of a coach. The engine room of this club is quite clearly Wotte and having read the thread about him being offered a job with Joll at Spurs I am not surprised. So - JP... puppet AND muppet. Wotte? I'd let him carry on with the youth team after the takeover... the one we badly need before January as we are going down my friends.
