  1. Sacking JP would be a start IMHO. Everyone is being so nice about him; 'Its not JPs fault... look what Rupert's given him to work with... Rupert interfers...' etc etc... Sorry. JP does not understand this League. JP does not have any consistent team selection. JP does not have a Plan B. I was shocked when I watched him over the last couple of games I went to. Clueless on the touch line, NOT oozing confidence. Defeated by his own lack of decision-making ability. The man can only act when prompted by his aide, whom I'd assumed was Wotte but it was the other ineffective coach (albeit more effective than JP). JP looks broken when he steps up to the touchline. JP has failed. Lowe put in a man who was out of his depth. Nice bloke.... sure. Effective. No. He has failed just as his losing master has predictably failed once more. Problem is.... would you prefer Lowe's next 'coach'? His name I believe is Sir Clive Woodward. No other decent manager is going to come to Saints. Lowe's final coup de grace for Saints may be SCWs introduction - at the very least I believe Lowe will attempt to put him in place instead of JP .... all IMHO of course.
  2. Oh I think loss by 2 goals is a dead cert.
  3. I suggest they should be paying us now let alone after inevitable relegation.
  4. I sadly have to concede... you're probably right.
  5. I think there's alot of truth in that statement for all of us... and for god sake those of us who post on here and read it regularly are likely to be die-hard fans! I too am sort of enjoying not attending games. I said it a few months ago but SFC is all but dead. We are now actually supporting Southampton Leisure Holdings plc youth team.
  6. Has anyone tried to return a ST - if so what was the result?
  7. Maybe. What worries me is when SCW appears instead of JP. How long before he's manager do you think?
  8. The next 3 points will come against a team that views us as a complete walkover and starts the game overconfidently. It could come tomorrow... but I'm afraid that that's doubtful. We will not win for sometime on our own merit. This is a team you dont lose against... you throw away a certain 3 points against through overconfidence only. Lowe's failed. As predicted.
  9. Isnt this Rupert's 2nd wife? Going the right way about losing her too I'd say. Rupert - take my advice old chap... listen to your missus.
  10. Its time for Fulthorpe to declare his hand or forever remain quiet. But, let me be the first to say, God I hope Fulthorpe's consortium and Alan Shearer arrive before the transfer window closes or as has already been so eloquently described above... we are royally fooked.
  11. Agree. The only potential optimism that may allow that is Fulthorpe... whether he is genuine and can bring in Shearer with enough money to make a difference right now though seems doubly doubtful - firstly he does not seem to be making his bid and secondly Lowe seems intent on scuppering any deal. So we seem a little fooked until Lowe can be removed.
  12. Doesnt take us into the future though does it? Its matters not. Until we delist THIS plc the Club is likely to continue the slide IMHO... with or without Lowe.
  13. Totally agree - but who (of any note) would work with a Director of Football who's name is Rupert Lowe? Another Cloggy puppet maybe?
  14. I dont, was trying to offer him a face saving way of getting out. I dont want ANY of the existing shareholders to have a say, including Mary Corbett, they are all part of the plc problem, which until it is delisted will continue to kill off whats left of our once proud club.
  15. There may be alot of truth in this statement. God I hope not... but I think even a supported manager change now would find it difficult to undo the damage Lowe has now caused. I think there are parrallels with our previous relegation...even Harry couldnt save us last time... even before Lowe finally broke his will to be here.
  16. Agreed 100%. I'm afraid JP and his DoF Lowe come as a package. JP goes with Lowe anyway IMHO.
  17. I take all your points. Constructivist ideas are always open to interprepation. Some ideas may work - some not. But as I said in the post above... if we keep our aims limited a shadow board can work methinks.
  18. I fully agree with all that from a realists perspective, but I do rather sense a moment is upon us where unity can be achieved provided the aims of such a board are limited to clear unifying objectives: plc de-listing and/or Lowe out. One potentially leaves with the other afterall. If a board can limit its aims it can bring the vast majority of supporters with it.
  19. This worked brilliantly last time. Has my full support. I remember the whole ground cheering as the plane circled and their part of SMS could see it! The message needs to be succinct and clear. The media love it and what's more its cheap and gives mass exposure. It also defeated Lowe's attempts to forcibly remove banners from fans entering SMS.
  20. I think you misread me. I am propsing exactly the same ideas as you and CB. All I am saying is that IF Fulthorpe is prepared to stand up and be counted we have a chance of a buy out soon that may just keep us in the CCC. It is Fitzb who has suggested that this may still be on the table - not me. If it is... we may just have a chance and certainly should support it. At least we'd get a decent manager and some optimism back. But, it may be utter rubbish... so one alternative is exactly as you and CB suggest. BTW, so far everything I have proposed since June has happened to this Club (Sadly) less violent protests. (Thank goodness ... but fast approaching sadly). Its so depressing. Lets do something.
  21. I think thats already happening.
  22. I agree with that. My ideal has been for a while to encourage Mike Wilde to form a committee of fans, explayers, local press, legends and members of Southampton City Council (who could offer support for other redevelopment projects close to SMS for any new owner). The idea was to sell the club in a unified manner. But as this is unlikely isnt it Mike? Perhaps a second committee/board does need to be established to provide unified leadership against the plc and particularly Lowe's leadership. It could still take on the key role - encouraging the club to be sold. But, I suspect with decent leadership - possibly from Duncan - and press support (and I sense that the Echo at least will get behind this cause as the press tends to reflect public opinion rather than shape it) it could really generate a positive effect. I like the idea of a board in waiting. I like the idea of a focus for unity against the failure of the plc and negative effect Lowe has on the Club. Such a forum is desperately needed.
  23. But Lawrie Mac and Chorley DID make national headlines on both Sky Sports TV and in some of the tabloids. Lowe hasnt played his final wild card yet... the appointment of SCW as manager... bet that makes the national headlines.
  24. Very true. But I think the idea of a board in waiting is a protest in itself that should attract more Press coverage at least, and it is constructive. So far Richard Chorley and Lawrie Mac have been the only fans and legends to take a stand, a board in waiting - toothless as it maybe - provides a rallying point and potentially better and more unified leadership with which to orchestrate further damage on Lowe and the plc board. We have to do something. Starting by constructing a unified forum that could provide leadership to challenge Lowe and the plc board is as good a start point as any. Definitely one of the more constructive ideas of late.
