What's key here is why did Chelsea prefer him to be at Watford and not Saints? Badly run relegation certs with a crap manager or team rebuilding with potential? Did Jack say, 'This is ****, not staying here?' Did Lowe say 'Too expensive?' Doesnt matter either way - Personally, I think Chelsea dont rate our youth policy personally and we wont be seeing any more loans from them and probably dont want to risk a decent player by demoralising him any further under Lowe and JP. Damning indicement for Lowe's youth policy this. DAMNING.

SSN had Cork to watford yesterday... has he gone or what?

Another serious national media dig at Lowe to go with yesterdays Sun. Get behind Lawrie everyone. Nice to see someone who understands football and what it means to us all taking a stand at last. I grew up with Lawrie Mac as a legend and his FA Cup win as the highpoint of this Club. It always will be. Lets support the legend. PROTEST. GET LOWE OUT. The moment cometh...

Why is Jan making Burley's mistakes?

I think there's alot of truth in that statement. -
Of course he is. Funny isnt it... one of the only other things he can mention is we have a nice pitch... still I guess that in itself plays to Utd's favour.
-
Yep I think that sums it up nicely. Good idea though.

Agree 100%. Add the Donnie train picture in the boardroom - sitting high above our decision-makers (arguably the best unintential psychological win of any relegation bound side in living history) and mentally we've also another battle. Joke isnt it... we remove our one winning picture and replace it with a train sitting proud above our decision makers from our nearest relegation rival. JOKE. Our boardroom have given up.
-
Fair one - he's gone. He belongs to a well run club who now want him back - probably to develop him further and possibly to remove him from the moral-sapping poor confidence losing club that is run by Lowe and JP. The key question is... 'Should we be relying on loanee kids as our best players to save us?' The answer is NO. We should be relying on experience and muscle - this is a battle for survival. NOT for FA Cup draws on Sunday. WE ARE IN A BATTLE FOR SURVIVAL. If Lowe doesnt wake up soon we're fekked. We have 30 odd days to get experience in at CB and striking positions. AND a new MANAGER. WE MUST WAKE LOWE UP ON SUNDAY. If we do we may survive. If not we're going down as the bottom team by a country mile.

We know its LOWE - so lets not kid ourselves someone else is responsible Ron. Lowe is our Director of Football.
-
Big full page article in The Sun today over the train in the boardroom and a reply from Lowe saying Lawrie Mac left the club skint. Here we go. National media now engaged.
-
Optimism.... just a small amount but enough I'd hope to unite us again behind the team... that small word that hasnt been seen at the club since... ooooo... the last time Lowe left.
-
There's a big article in the Sun today over the train picture. WELL DONE LAWRIE - nice to see someone has the guts to not standby and let the club die with Lowe at the helm. The national media are now starting to have a go at Lowe, who has directly accused Lawrie of leaving the club skint. Oh dear. Here we go.
-
LOL that's nowhere near 50/50!
-
50/50!?! Methinks not... I suspect 10/90 at best - frankly Lowe has been buying League below standard players for over a decade. Agree with you over need for LB though - but only because Lowe is shipping out Skacel at the earliest opportunity.
-
Ironic isnt it that alot of Forest fans are already saying they dont rate him and dont want him... largely as he's ex-Derby I suspect...but even I (and I've never rated him above a coordinator of big blokes) would die for him to come to Saints above JP. Oh dear. Shows really how badly things are going.
-
Elmore - you're right I grant you that... but given Lowe's record thus far I see why scepticism may just tempt an awful lot of people to post such things. Yes, we should support them. But we need experienced strong defenders and strikers (loans if necessary) to stay out of the relegation zone... not more children...
-
It would only be the kiss of death if he were manager of Saints... doesnt apply elsewhere. Nice to see him doing well.
-
Another spot on post. Well said.
-
Plus a striker if Sagga doesnt perform. Absolutely 100% correct. ... but we both know that JP is up to nothing - this is a Director of Football selection on behalf of his plc.
-
Happy New Year to all Charlton, Doncaster, Forest and Norwich fans. (Now please can you do us a favour and be really bad for the rest of the season... you are now our only chance to avoid relegation.)
-
Good stuff. Injured kid. I'm sure he has potential, but frankly tagging Happy New Year on the end of the post on the OS is just a joke. Youth policy of relegation continues. Thank you Mr Director of Football (SLH) Lowe.

Looking back,looking forward,by N.Illingsworth.

Unless we get off our arses and do something to try and sell this club instead of commenting on how bad Lowe is but we really must keep him and his plans!? Balls. WE NEED TO SELL THIS CLUB. SITTING ON OUR ARSES AND DOING NOTHING IS NO LONGER AN OPTION. WE NEED TO PUT A TEAM TOGETHER AND FIND A BUYER. AND IF WE FAIL... TRY AGAIN... AND AGAIN. -
You are undoubtably right. This is not a JP 'I want to stay in this league and avoid relegation' couple of signings but exactly as you suggest a Lowe 'I want this failing business to continue for as long as it can'. 100% correct post. Sums up SLH perfectly.

I agree with you 100%. I was illustrating the same point on a different thread over this to be honest. What I was saying for effect here was that it is important to note that the Echo has now started to reflect public opinion... their motives are more likely to be to sell papers by stirring Lowe out calls than a genuine regard for the Club. Nonetheless, I am happy to see them doing it as I believe it DOES firmly reflect the views of the overwhelming majority of Saints fans and their crusade is right. Look forward to viewing more.
