  1. LOL - Agreed! LOWE IN! (We'll have him as manager!)
  2. Not really. Fire's probably right. Can't think of many Clubs that havent been bought out.. indeed none. Remember people by Clubs for different reasons - not just for business reasons. Buying a club brings status... successful or not.
  3. Back to the thread... Slightly different question but; 'Do you think Lowe sleeps at night?'
  4. Yes but Nick... going down to 10 men was our fault!
  5. Not at the moment they're not... Derby winning 1-0 with 2 mins to go against a stronger Man Utd side than we faced! Amazing what a managerial change can do!
  6. So that's why the grass is so good on the pitch!
  7. But what happens if you've already sold off ALL your assets and you only have kids left?
  8. Phew... rather have Rasiak and John but glad to see him back for a couple of games or hopefully more.
  9. Yeah - bring back 'Ask Rupert'!! Could you imagine? LOL.
  10. Sheff Saint - is anything being discussed over Sheff Utd's delisting as a plc in Sheffield at all? I suspect not much - certainly cant find a great deal on line - because the boardroom is ever so slightly more Club oriented than ours and it has been less of an issue. But just wondering?
  11. I'd have to have Rupert Lowe. He might be a **** but I suspect he's the only one who knows how to hold a knife and fork properly. Terribly posh my dinner parties you know! Actually, I only invite people I like to dinner... Lawrie Mac - to listen to whole story of the great days Ted Bates - Because then he could be brought back from the dead and hopefully spare an hour or so afterwards to fix the Club. MLT - Cos he talks sense and we always have wasted food, we always cook too much in my house and at least with Matty little would go to waste. and finally... Alan Shearer. Well you'd have to make him feel at home before he comes to rescue us as manager.
  12. You'd need some guts to turn SMS into flats, a port extension or a marina. Strikes me that this administration move could be linked to a possible takeover. ... there some optimism at last Thanks buc... very helpful.
  13. So Fulthorpe's consortium (if it exists, for example) COULD get a better deal if we go into administration?
  14. So whoever buys the Club after administration essentially gets the whole lot for a snip rather than paying out alot more now on Shares in the plc (provided the assets are not broken up that is)?
  15. If you were a kid and could join Chelsea, Man Utd, Liverpool, Aston Villa, West Ham or Spurs (etc) academy or Saints, right now, who would you join? I think the answer to the question lies with that question.
  16. I see, so actually the plc's debts would be transfered to our Football Club, which would mean one owner could take the club over. Does the plc cease to operate once in administration? Is it delisted automatically?
  17. Important question: If we delisted the plc as Sheffield Utd have done, would we have to go into administration?
  18. That was part of my Swindon assessment to be honest. League 1 teams are likely to bully them off the ball AND have alot of experienced men. Also add the fact that Lowe will sell on our best players and continue to asset strip the team, assuming he retains more control after administration - which I gather may be a possibility. Asset stripped and full of kids in League 1, with the possibility of Lowe's policy continuing. Oh dear.
  19. No doubt at all Morph. Not taking the SISU deal was negligent as it has turned out. I know we all thought - me included - it was not a good enough deal for such a big club but those in the boardroom who actually had this financial forecast available to them and didnt accept the SISU deal need shooting.
  20. Honestly. I posted this a couple of days ago but, I went to watch Swindon a couple of months ago - they are struggling at the bottom of League 1. They would beat this team 9 times out of 10 IMHO. So no... whats more I believe we're heading down to League 2 if we do not have a major change in Club policy and senior personalities.
  21. Cant help but think that might just be part of the problem.
  22. So even with the great Lord Lowe's return we go into administration!? Does he actually have any talent at all? If we go into administration will it remove the jokers who run this plc (nearly wrote Club then) forever? We should have sold this Club by now to avoid this. Oh dear, oh dear. If it is that critical though Duncan, should we not now openly be declaring it is likely unless someone would like to come and buy the club?
