I agree. There is a lesson here that Nick Illingworth has recently discovered. The only hope is a takeover. So can we please work towards finding one again...but this time ensure that the 'wise' men accept it!?
-
So it was a pep talk. A Churchillian 'you're all doing very well'... or was it an Atlee-esque declaration that 'all will be well with the plan'. Either way sounds terribly unoptimistic.
-
LOL. But this is more important.
-
and to be fair a takeover WAS put on the table. (SISU)
-
The cost is relegation and even more loss of revenue. And loss of pride. If Administration beacons anyway, surely its worth one last fight to stay in this league? If we roll over now we show exactly what a defeatist club we are... and that isnt a football club mentality. We take administration if we're about to die, not if there's a slim hope we won't through change. This club under Lowe has become a hotbed of defeatism - and we wonder why we are where we are. [rolly eye thingy]

Depends what your intention is. If it is to remove Lowe/JP quickly and install a man to use the last remaining weeks of the transfer window to reinforce and shape a winning team then it might be too late. If your intention is to let things go and see how things develop (slim change of a result at Norwich for example, time for Lowe to spin some more propaganda etc) before asking what the point of change is this close to the end of the transfer window, then its fine.

The evidence is one near miss at a play-off final and survival in the CCC as well as putting in some crap execs who at least found a takeover deal which would potentially have seen us in Coventry's position right now.... not much evidence of outright failure. I dont think Crouch is out of his depth. It depends on what you require from a leader at a football club. All he has to do is provide desire. He is a fan and does that in spades. He passionately desires Saints success. With a CEO to run the club - fueled by desire - you never know what might happen; survival again perhaps?
-
Topical picture but sums up a number of points. Change inspires optimism. Change brings hope. With the will of the people with you, you can succeed. Either way... it has to be better than certain relegation under JP/Lowe. Note: Not advocating signing up Obama as Lowe's football advisor...but I suspect he knows more about it than Lowe!
-
...No he just made a sub and the counted the player on the line about to go on by mistake. not. Maths was never my strong point .

"1,2...errr.3....4 4... errr 2! Thats not right I wanted 3-2-1-2-1-1-1!!!! Do these kids think I'm talking double Dutch or something!?"
-
The players bit makes me wonder. If anything it puts the kids in a harder position - even MORE pressure. We know that the senior players all think Lowe's plan is ********. ie Wotton, Euell, Skacel and John. We know that the kids are worse now than when the plan started. And some think its ******** and have voted with their feet ie Cork. We know that JP has admitted that we need MEN (an admission if any from the manager that Lowe's plan is ********) - see last programme notes. So, perhaps Lowe wants to put them all back in their place and give a rising team talk akin to his great Dressing Room chats to get them all back on message and back on track. Perhaps Lowe is merely reading the whole lot the riot act and telling them they can succeed with a Churchillian speech? If so, we'll shortly find out and if so... I predict a fans riot.
-
Lowe doesnt have a football advisor. He doesnt need one...apparently.
-
LOL... a week too late for counter propaganda isnt it?! What a joke. If you're going to react to the original stories you need to react immediately. This is complete fabrication. We see yet again, the OS being foolishly used by Lowe to retain credibility...Oh it's all so familiar dont you think? Remember last time we relegated... mmm... oh so familiar.
-
I sadly think you might be right. Reinforcing failure with more failure (Wotte) is not the way to go though. JP must be sacked. A new manager and Director of Football (Lowe replacement) must be found VERY VERY SOON... certainly by the Norwich game. Lowe hanging on or trying to keep this foolishness going will result in utter disaster. I mean UTTER disaster.
-
'We didnt play a bad game'? Rearrange this sentance Jan.. 'planet What ****ing you are on?'
-
JP is about to be sacked by the looks of it. And his assistant coach has already been put on gardening leave. A step in the right direction. But, Lowe has to realise that this was HIS appointment and HIS call to go for this system. It is an admission of failure and so along with JPs sacking Lowe himself HAS to leave the club now for good. If he dares to stay on after this falacy then I am afraid the fans will really lose the plot. Time to go Lowe - forever.
-
Administration.
-
Not all of them. I think most of them are decent people.
-
They dont.... although they do now!
-
I spoke to some of the stewards in the Dell BAr after the game. Not a happy bunch. One said to me... 'I am a Saints fan and love being able to come and watch a bit of the game! Wont be able to for the rest of the season now' Genuine guy. Good bloke and even laughed when I told him to sit down.

Would love to verify this ... but I sense it may not be entirely true. -
Wait to you see the League 1 fixture list when you review our team without Kelvin, Lallana, Euell, John, Rasiak, Skacel, Surman, Shnederlain, Perry, Wotton... need I go on with bad spellings. Even with our better players I genuinely think we will struggle in League 1 next season. People think the CCC is tough... tell you what! We're going to League 2.
