Shareholders meeting at the De Vere, Fri 23/01/09
SaintRobbie replied to derry's topic in The Saints
But the other major shareholders like Crouch didnt vote.... Lowe spun the result to make it sound like he had overwhelming support and the rest is history. -
I still think Lowe may have been stitched up by his friends to fail... but hey ho... This is a very good analogy and certainly fits Lowe's modus operandi. Lowe can use the Mail - we know that. He used it yesterday to have a veiled go at Crouch again to deflect blame. Today he doesnt seem to threaten administration more make it inevitable though. I still can't understand one fundamental... Why are Lowe and Wilde not saying we need a buyer? I don't get it unless they have something to gain from administration and relegation. But what?

I gather many did indeed abstain. I am sure someone will break it down but as I understand it the figure of 90% reflected those who actually voted. -

Thank goodness for sensible posters. My thoughts to a tee. Well said Duncan. The bold bit has always concerned me I must say. -
In laymans terms, what will administration mean?
SaintRobbie replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
Rich, sorry but you seem to indeed be a rational chap... I think Lowe's up to something. Hypothetically of course, based on your experience, what would Lowe have to gain personally by putting the club into administration? In your opinion. -

So what you're saying Rich is that the only hope is to get out there and find a buyer? -

I think this absolutely true. ST sales will fall in League 1 anyway but with Lowe still connected would fall even more. Also, I think - sadly - we are only one step away from physical violence on Lowe and Boardmembers by certain individuals. I really think it's going to happen. If it does it would be a big shot in the foot with regards to selling this Club to a new buyer... who'd want to bail us out if he knew that he'd be getting beaten to a pulp if he failed? Won't stop certain people though. -

This is so important - deserves to be a discussion thread in its own right. I think you might be right. -
Sorry Trousers and everyone for going off topic... but I just thought I say how much I really do like your avatar! It makes me smile every time I look at it!

would you accept administration if it meant Lowe left?
SaintRobbie replied to The Fat Controller's topic in The Saints
I have a horrible dark feeling that Lowe is playing for administration and remaining in charge. Anyone agree? -

Have we heard if Lawrie or Crouch are attending? -
Did anyone ring SMS and ask to speak to him?

That's an interesting thesis. But all he'd be doing is postponing the FINAL demise of the business. If this is true it would prove one thing... he does not have the interests of the Club in mind at all ... only the temporary survival of the plc. Has to be delaying the inevitable and sentencing Saints to guaranteed relegation in the process using this strategy. If he takes administration at the last safe moment in March for loss of points prior to next season and we're already dead and heading down by then anyway I suppose people will say 'he had no choice'. Still wont change one thing... regardless which way he leads us it WILL result in relegation given either strategy. Unless he's ousted NOW and a new manager is put in we're certain for League 1. There's still some hope... 1 point at the moment... get a new managerment system NOW.

LOL - someone should do a spoof JP CV and put it on!

Do Season Ticket Holders lose their money if the Club goes under and ceases to 'trade'? -
LOL. Isnt it just!

Never said it would be easy - only said that with enough desire and will - we can find a buyer. Hedge Fund or not - would you rather be in Coventry's place right now or Saints? I know it's a repeated theme...apologies, but it's the only hope we have left and the only thing that can unite the club towards one single aim... survival. I have seen no better idea yet. But I hope to. Until then... lets find a buyer and not just roll over as Lowe tells us our club has officially died adn it's all Crouch's fault etc etc etc When my kids keep asking are we there yet, it ususally leads to some sort of action. By god, we need action.

It goes on to say... 'Hitler's stubbornness and defiance of military realities also allowed the Holocaust to continue. He also ordered the complete destruction of all German industrial infrastructure before it could fall into Allied hands, saying that Germany's failure to win the war forfeited its right to survive.[250] Rather, Hitler decided that the entire nation should go down with him. Execution of this scorched earth plan was entrusted to arms minister Albert Speer, who disobeyed the order' Michael 'Albert Speer' Wilde. Please step forward... last chance. -
No time for defeatists anymore Delldays... come on chin up... war of survival to fight!

LOL! I'm glad many of the posters on here have a sense of humour still... its the only thing keeping us going. Funny isnt it? There seems to be less arguing on the messageboard than I have seen for possibly years, there seems to be far more humour... in adversity and all that!
