  1. I was reading about the last PFA threatened strike in 2001, where all players theatened to walk out unles given a greater share of TV money. As it was greed related, most fans were very anti it and it died away. I wonder, if the players said enough was enough and went on strike would we support them? You know what I think right now we would. I just am interested what the repercussions would be for them as individuals and the team with regards to points etc. Again - not saying it should happen... just interested. Given the way protests, fans organisation and other examples of superb teamwork that have started to come together under the threat of Lowe killing the Club... I wonder how things may eventually progress.
  2. [quote=Stanley;176532 Saints Trust vice chairman Steve Grant doesn’t believe protesting will make a difference. . Steve... why are you appearing so defeatist? Why, whenever anyone suggests a constructive way of selling the club and people attempt something constructive like this do you back away all the time? NOONE HAS ADVOCATED VIOLENCE. I don't get you sometimes. I really don't. You'd rather sit back and let Lowe destroy this Club rather than wholeheartedly support the fans who want to try and make a difference and seek change. The only form of change likely to give us a chance of staying in this league. Still, your away notes in the match day programmes are always very useful....thank you.
  3. Thanks Exit...I suspect I'll do that one.
  4. Will there be a demonstration organised by the same people after the game too?
  5. Frankly anyone who buys a ST must be stark raving mad. When Lowe buys up the Club after relegation and administration and then leads it towards League 2 and liquidation, you'll lose your money. ST holders would be wise to pay on the gate from now on....there's always a seat. Too much risk in losing your money I'd say under Lowe.
  6. I feel physically sick.
  7. You only read the titles Delldays dont you?
  8. I suspect he is just popping in and wishing the boys luck - but he certainly went in and delivered a talk along the lines of how serious it would be if the club relegated etc a couple of years ago. I'm sure it was even used as a bit of Lowe PR-opaganda on the OS.
  9. Just wondering. Not advocating it and just for interest. No evidence to back this assumption, but recalling Wotton's HT anger in the dressing room which almost left him being sold and the anger displayed by many other senior players who clearly want away. Add also the negative (or at best neutral comments) from those such as Cork who opted to get away from Saints at the first opportunity. I am assuming that the camp is not as happy as Lowe/JP suggest. ...and of course add the impact of this new Lowe 'advisor' mystery man who may be now giving the team talks... If the players decided to strike for one game in protest at the way they were being treated by Lowe and this 'new' stooge, what could the reactions be against them personaly from: 1. Club. 2. The FA. And, what would be the impact on the team in the league - docked points or a replay for example? Any ideas?
  10. We've done that every game so far this season. Not worked much.
  11. Lowe has done team talks in the past. I certainly recall a big thing being made of one at SMS when he led us to the last relegation.
  12. I think we almost need to make a plea to the players to go on strike!
  13. Certainly would explain the rapid decline of form and the clear irritation amongst some of the senior players like Skacel and Wotton. If this guy is giving team talks I demand the OS tells us who the **** he is! Its as if he IS our manager and Lowe has sacked JP but wont get rid of him to save face. This is even more worrying now.
  14. We will not win any unless the manager is sacked.
  15. I wish he was in our side not playing for swansea.
  16. I wonder if Kim was with Lowe when he had the 30 minute meeting with JP and the players that resulted in JP 'doubling his efforts'? Think he's Lowe's bully-boy?
  17. I am beginning to think Lowe has a self-interest driven plan if we relegate. I dont know whether Lowe wants to survive or relegate the club in administration. I think that contrary to the thread that says Lowe is in a Lose - Lose situation, Lowe is in a win-win one... but I can't work out his strategy and reasons for wanting administration and relegation. Something is fishy. Otherwise he'd have sacked JP. But it could be down to arrogance - it could be that he knows that the whole totally crap football idea was his and therefore he's staked his reuptation and knows he must see it through. Perhaps he still thinks he's right and we'll finish mid-table. Do you trust Lowe?
  18. Add the Saints Trust, Corbett and Crouch and how many more would you need?
  19. I am liking this Mr Fenner. Perhaps a replacement for Mr Illingworth at the Saints Trust? This is a man who has the get up and go, dedication and enthusiasm as well as the intellect to see we need to unite with legends to publicise the need for rapid change. Far better than waiting another bloody week for a meeting. Fenner also seems to be positive and has the sort of wnning mentality that needs to be brought back in to kick those that would roll over to Lowe's next excuse and forgive him... WELL DONE MIKE. I wish you well. Certainly get my support.
  20. WGS left as he was being left with players who were not good enough for the Premiership. He warned us the December before he left, when the team of mediocres were on the top of the league. He was warning Lowe that mediocre players were not going to stay at the top and I think he decided then he was off as the future was not going to be good. As soon as WGS therefore lost his optimism as Lowe paid dividends to shareholders and allocated him peanuts to spend in Premier League terms it broke his will IMHO. I think WGS then used his knee op and wife promises as a smoke screen. He knew then Lowe was killing the club. That's why WGS left us with so many mediocre players. He left us as he had nothing but mediocre players and was unlikely to get anything other than mediocre players under Lowe. I don't blame him. Love that quote from one of the posters on this forum a few months ago who saw WGS on holiday and asked him to come back to be met with a reply of 'with Rupert still there? You must be joking!' ... or words to that effect.
  21. OMG! Pencilled in for Thursday!!!
  22. Worth sticking a mini protest just in case?
  23. LOL ... almost...almost a golden post!
  24. Yes - I think on the whole we are. Genuinely think that the messageboard has never been so overwhelmingly supportive of the removal of a manager and the chairman and the need for change. I think whatever Lowe's planning in order to hold on to power he's in for a real shock. Opinion has never, in the years I have been posting on here and the predecessor forums, been so united and forthright. Its nice to see.
  25. Tony Hart's funeral?
