Well he cant play (sadly) and he is very much being used as the good will talisman of the Club, so its a possibility. Fans love him still...unlike ANYTHING else within the managerial set up. Do you believe he'll have an impact as 'Assistant' Manager though? Nor do I.

It HAS to be so Badger... otherwise this Club will eventually become a feeder club in League 2, owned by Rupert Lowe. He HAS to be removed for good now. HAS to be.

I think its a project destined for failure. Yes he'd be better than 'Wotte' we have! He'd be seen as a Lowe stooge, there are too many fans who would sadly will him on to fail as they will never forgive him for deserting, he doesnt have anything to prove here. Divisive and more chance of failing than succeeding. And frankly there's better unemployed managers out there.

So essentially, provided the players were willing to give up 1-2 weeks pay and did it through the PFA it is possible. Anyone understand what the League would do? Would we be docked points or made to replay the game on another date? Its an avenue worth examining. I am not advocating it. But if the players wanted to make a stand for the good of the club ALONG WITH THE FANS - it would be a united rebellion that Lowe would have never have faced before. What's more the media attention would probably go international! I just would like to draw out the potential consequences of this sort of - somewhat unique - action. But then, Saints is in a somewhat unique position right now.

I dont go with this Hoddle idea. I think Nick was making a point about Lowe's arrogance and spitefulness with regards to the fans rather than genuinely suggesting he was coming. I may be wrong. Yes, Hoddle would be better than we have now, but there are others. The problem with Hoddle is: 1. He's hated by a large number of fans, so would be just as divisive. Many - who have never forgiven him for deserting - would will him on to fail. We have an opportunity for unity now. 2. He'll be seen as a Lowe stooge, like JP was. That sets him up for failure. 3. I am led to believe that it is a myth that Hoddle and Lowe are great friends. Finally, why would Hoddle seriously want to come back to SMS right now? He knows many of the fans hate him. He doesnt need to leave the club again as a failure.

Absolutely. In fact I'd say Lowe is a boxer who is on the ropes, who's seconder is about to throw in the towel. We really need to come in hard now with a couple of jabs and a powerful uppercut to finish him off for good. But all that's a metaphor... peaceful protest only or we risk losing a potential buyer. We should be attending the protest next Saturday - even if we appoint a quality manager this week. We need to finish Lowe off now that he's taken a few punches and actually start to plan the next protest and one after that. Easing off now would just sentence us to yet more Lowe later on. And once Lowe's gone we need to then set up a bout with Wilde and Askham...

Fair one offix, I think he'll never be forgiven now either. But, he is the only man who CAN remove Lowe. Think we'll ever see him at SMS again?

I don't think so. We'll have a new manager next week I think. Question is will we have a new Director of Football? ie replacement for Lowe.

Just listened to Nick's interview. I think Nick did very well. I particularly liked the Sky presenters final comment; 'I feel your pain'. Nick basically said that whilst others should share alot of the blame for finances Rupert Lowe is by far the worst of the lot, fans blame him. He talked of Lowe's ego possibly driving him back to SMS. He plucked out Hoddle as a man being discussed as he expects the board will not stick with Wotte despite the fact that Wotte may have a better record than JP. On Hoddle he said Lowe would possibly bring him back due to Lowe's 'sense of humour'... i.e. he implied that he would do it to spite the fans after they stopped him reinstating Hoddle last time. Nick then went on to say that at the moment we'd take just about anyone. Well done Nick. I know I am a critic of you, but I thought you came over well. I would say one more thing... Any fan who gets an opportunity to tell the world what is really happening at SMS under Lowe should also tell the world we would welcome a buyer with open arms. It is a simple message, costs nothing and who knows...may be someone will be watching.

One more thing Mike... if you're decent enough you're reading this. You will be exposed. Dont be. I sort of understnad your reasoning... you have a chance to be a hero or a zero. I think you're going to worry yourself into an early grave if you dont do the right thing for the people of Southampton and half the bloody South coast who support this team... Please remove Lowe. And please give us a manager NOW. We are dieing.

No it's not offix. He has the cards, he can play them or let another man who may win but not share the pot with him play them. Cards are the best analogy for Mike right now. He can lose and apologise and deal again... he can hand them to someone else to play for him who may have the popular vote .... or he can fold and find a new winner. Mike. Hand them over to the man we all trust. Never let LOWE buy this admistration bound football club. We all love it too much and have done for generations. Please, trust your intuition... Lowe is killing whats left of something very special. I still think you're a decent man. Please... be strong. Make the RIGHT decision. Give us our club back.

Mike. Rubbish. You know it's rubbish, we know it's rubbish... You can change this and fight or can be a weak incipid little Lowe follower... I suggest you reassess... we're not happy.
