I feel for Hughes. The Boardroom strategy of self destruction led to this weakened team set for relegation. Hughes couldn’t polish a turd could he? Thanks Mark Hughes for saving us last season - you deserved a better Boardroom. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Reed sacked, not Hughes. Good decision. You can only work with the tools you’re given so now it’s time for Gao to invest and let Hughes do what he did at Man City and set us up for greatness. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This is a must win for Hughes and our club. Hate to say it but we’ve got to dig in now and get behind Hughes and what little is left of our team after Reed and co’s dismantlement. Hope we can shown Gao it’s worth investing and sacking the Boardroom before the manager. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Pointless replacing Hughes. Problem has been with the model and that’s driven by the Boardroom. I’m surprised Gao hasn’t invested money in players (his record is to invest in his sports clubs), which may mean that not only is Reed and co’s model continuing to fail but after staying up last season I wouldn’t be surprised if they’ve bluffed him that they know what they are doing. Sack them. Keep Hughes. Invest heavily in January, after all Hughes was the first stage in Man City’s rebirth. We are owned by one of the wealthiest businessmen in China. Time for him to cull the bull****ters from the Boardroom. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Why get rid of Hughes? He’s the best a poorly run club can get. Performed a miracle last season but I’m not expecting him to do it again with an even weaker team. Our Boardroom are an utter disgrace. Clear them out and invest. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ings?! Liverpool are our feeder club! Although I’d have gone for Mané, Van Dyke, Lallana, Lovren, Clyne ahead of him though to be fair. Someone said Mark Hughes said to Les he wanted ‘signings’... doh! Good luck to him. Local lad, but I ban the Northam Stand from singing the inane ‘he’s one of our own’ song... They’re going to have to spark and create some bloody inspiring songs to get behind this weakened squad if we’re going to stay up! Good luck Danny! I’m happy you’re here. Even Mark Hughes is admitting his team is rubbish on the main website. Refreshingly honest. I am placing a bet on relegation whilst the footballing pundits have us at mid table still, we’ll be odds on to go down within 10 weeks in my opinion. Weakest Saints team in recent memory. Disengaged owner, probably being fed utter rubbish from the current Boardroom. Well his investment is about to plough in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Saints vs Borussia Mönchengladbach - Match Thread

True. To be fair I’m not sure what I just witnessed. Was it a random kick about? Was there any tactics? Was there any commitment? Lots of booing at the end around me. Oh dear. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Yep. Team full of Championship players. Our mediocre players last season are now our best. 100% going down - unless there are 3 more worse teams, and one won’t be Fulham if Targett goes. Very very disappointed. Worst preseason set of business we have done in recent memory. We need a clear out top to bottom. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I’ve not renewed my STs. May bing abroad but frankly I wouldn’t have renewed anyway. I will go when I can but I’ve seen no serious business done in the transfer window. We badly need a quality CB and a striker. Not seen either. Sadly those who have us in 10th place at the end of the season are in fantasy land. This is another relegation season battle... Good luck. Is this the most uninspiring summer in the last 4 seasons? Or have I missed something? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So we have a decision. But what does it really mean? For me it’s positive. Hughes has clearly got just enough out of our current squad to keep us up - just. But with some cost - Boufal, our zero goal Argentine - and others want out. It’s also a squad with players past their best. Hail Bernard all you like he’s slowing up Southampton. Love Steve Davies but he’s absent. Our defence is shaky, very shaky. Needs significant investment. And shortly our best like Tadic (yes he’s now our best - OMG) will face the circling vultures of the top 6 clubs... and we know what happens when Les Reed et al are offered a cheque. Hughes is here to stabilise. Good. But there’s a chance that our football fantasists in the Boardroom are also gambling on another near disaster based on his leadership to see us through. Hughes or not, we are in one almighty mess. Best and those with potential will want out when the carrot danglers start their work, Chinese holiday or not. The only chance of a mid table season and an avoidance of the Boardroom debacle of the past 3-4 years is a change of direction. That requires rapid and significant-investment from our major owner. Does he understand that? So, for me Hughes is the only decision based on such a poor squad situation. He’s there to avoid the drop again. But unless we see Les and the gang change their selling philosophy and significant investment early from our owner, expect pain not pleasure next season. Or.... is Hughes being picked to do what he did at Man City?? To stabilise a sinking ship - and our squad is only destined to be weakened this summer based on Boardroom philosophy to date so there’s no denying it - then receive an inject of stars to start the transformation? It’s what Hughes did before to build City. It requires a wealthy owner (and we have that despite the evidence so far of lack of investment). Is the Chinese tour the spark for that? I don’t know where this will go, but as long as our Chinese owner trusts our current Boardroom the first option looks most likely. Prepare for sales, loss of talent and another relegation battle.... Can Hughes maintain his record of never being relegated with a further weakened squad?

I can’t help but think the Boardroom are about to continue the standard summer mistakes. No confirmation of Hughes or not, player uncertainty, best players shortly applying to go, no investment, Boardroom discussion about how we can survive another year no problem without significant investment.... Regardless whether it’s not true one thing is undeniable. Week 2 of the end of the season mirrors the last 4 years of summer disasters.... Prove me wrong please. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Stream is dead lol - anyone go another link?

Anyone found a reliable stream?

Yep. Thank god. Thank god.

Anyone found a reliable stream yet?

Oh my god. We are terrible. Gutless. Clueless. Going down. The season just concluded.

Phew... but our strikers are still absent. Work to do Sparky if we are to survive. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thank goodness. Now we can get some spirit going and join the relegation fight! I bet the Boardroom haven’t lined anyone up though - they’ll take 3 weeks to find someone now and waste the opportunity to allow a new manager to have time with the team.... let’s see. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It’s now painfully obvious that Pellegrino has failed. It’s not just tactics and team selection from what’s left of the Boardroom sales strategy.... it’s worse than that ITS DEFEATISM. We need someone motivational for the last few games - someone who even if he fails will know the Championship enough to bounce us straight back without having to get to know the team again. We need someone who cares. WE MUST SACK HIM NOW. WE ARE GOING DOWN 100%. THERE IS NOTHING TO LOSE BY PUTTING SOMEONE ELSE IN EXCEPT BOARDROOM PRIDE FOR SCREWING THIS ALL UP. MUST WIN GAME. Pathetic. At home against the second worst team in the League.
