  1. I hope both our players and the Club have learnt lessons. Clyne to Liverpool would be a mistake for several reasons: 1. Liverpool are simply no longer a better team. Poor manager, under pressure, no talisman, full of premadonnas. It's not a team. 2. Saints have hope. Liverpool face a torrid season ahead. 3. Lovren, Lallana and Lambert have all been mediocre and regressed under Rogers. Why move to be ridiculed? 4. We, the fans, have had enough of watching Liverpool try and destroy a potential rival by buying them out. It's time for our Boardroom to stand firm. Best thing we can do this summer is make a statement that any of our players can play for England at Saints (Clyne just did that - respect) and send a message that WE DO NOT SELL TO OUR RIVALS. We are looking to overtake Liverpool and Spurs. Why sell to them? It would really boost morale to watch our club get on the front foot this summer and put Rogers in his place.... Then watch him get fired. I sense we have learnt lessons... I'm hoping for leadership this summer, I accept Schneiderlin may go, but everything must be for a reason - to overtake our rivals not strengthen them. It's time to stand up to the bullies. Clyne signing for SAINTS will be the first statement of intent from our a Club this summer. That would be a statement of real leadership.
  2. Story of two keepers yesterday. Gazzaniga is not good enough. We are also not the same team without Schneiderlin.
  3. That's been Koeman's calculation for sometime methinks.
  4. Ŷ Good summary. Manes finish was excellent to be fair, cheeky pint in.
  5. Djuricic was excellent. Very impressed. Does the simple things well and has passion too. Outstanding. Mane was super too, especially in the first half as was big Vic. I agree with you though. Clyne's head has been elsewhere for weeks. Sad, but true. Finally, Koeman got it wrong tonight. Pelle shouldn't have started. He should have come on at 70 mins instead of Long, not the other way round.
  6. I'd change the top 3. Drop Pelle, insert Long. Pelle on the bench until 65th minute (at least). Pelle's confidence is shot, he's half a yard off the pace. Got to be rested and eased back in.
  7. I agree. Long should start with Pelle coming on in the last 15 mins. How long until Jay Rod returns?
  8. Pelle should be dropped. Useless. Biggest mistake of the summer exodus was letting Lambert leave. I wish he was here to take the pressure of Pelle. Drop Pelle for Long up front. Bring Pelle on as a sub later in the game.
  9. Pelle misses another. DROP HIM KOEMAN
  10. Should be dropped - useless. Can't help but think the worst piece of business we did last summer was letting Lambert go. Wish he was still here to take the pressure off Pelle. Nonetheless, Pelle has been rubbish so far this game.
  11. Concur.
  12. I thought Djuricic was pretty steady actually. Real potential.
  13. I He's having to pace himself for 90 minutes every game week in and out. No like for like replacement. We failed to buy a striker in January to help him out and it's telling. It may cost us a Europe place. Something needs to change up front. But I think dropping Pelle and trying another option like Long and attacking wing backs needs to be given a go. Pelle needs to be dropped.
  14. Pelle should be dropped. Needs a break and he has to pace himself to survive 90 minutes. We will look back on this season and say we failed to take the opportunity to seize champions league football by investing in a striker in January. I thought Lovren and Lallana looked pretty average today, but I'm beginning to think that letting Lambert go was the greatest error made last summer. If only we had him to share Pelle's burden. Koeman needs a new plan. I'm bored of watching us hoof it to Pelle to watch him give it away 3 out of 4 times. Perhaps Long needs to play lone striker and we should reintroduce attacking wing backs now Bertrand is about to return? Something has to happen or we're heading for 7th.... Maybe not enough for Europe.
  15. I see Clasie is linked with us again too.
  16. We deserve Europe, even our feeder club Celtic got a draw last night. We are no interlopers - we can do this.
  17. This game promises to be electric. Liverpool in disarray in the dressing room and tired from yesterday's game. Saints almost at full strength and fighting for Europe. An electric welcome for Lallanna and possibly Lovren that should immediately put a spark into our fans. (Perhaps the Northam might even come alive again) And a chance to thank Rickie Lambert by singing he wants to come home to further break the Liverpool unity. Has to be ours for the taking. I'm going 3-1 Saints.
  18. I'm looking forward to this game. Lallanas welcome will be worth my season ticket price in itself. Don't less us down Northam!
  19. He wants to come home, he wants to come hoooome...Rickie Lambert, he wants to come home.
  20. Looking good! Thanks.
  21. Anyone found a reliable stream for tonights game?
  22. We'll win this. Strong side available to Koeman less Toby. In Mane we trust, our long lost striker returneth!
  23. Mane is now to be regarded as a STRIKER. Koeman is a genius.
  24. If we can't win today against rudderless and talentless QPR, we can't hope to qualify for the Champions League in my opinion. We've failed to invest in a striker. The Boardroom failed to gamble and dig deep. Unless Koeman can successfully retrain Mane to be the next Kevin Phillips, I fail to see the clinical striking power needed to qualify. We shall see though... we shall see. If Saints fans can hit Champions League on Soccer AM, anything is possible!
