  1. superb kit; best in years. wish i could buy it.
  2. Chris Lucketti for sure - his old timers partnership with Perry kept us up under Pearson
  3. great work Redslo
  4. SELL OSVALDO AND PUT THE PROCEEDS TOWARDS A TEN YEAR CONTRACT FOR JACK CORK
  5. Paul Telfer all day long - great basic technique, worked hard for the team, allowed others to play. Paul Williams had a ggreat few months when he first arrived, and more recently I was always impressed by Chaplow
  6. Kevin Davies was signed from Chesterfield the first time around.
  7. A terrific player, whose contribution was overlooked somewhat because Schneiderlin was that bit more showy .... if Wanyama signs, does he play alongside Cork rather than MS? That would seem a better fit to me.
  8. I was the guy who did the rest. I was thirteen at the time - got to meet Mick McCarthy, was interviewed by Sky News and on the most popular show on Irish radio. Still get asked about it now and again....
  9. Of all the coaches I know in all the world, Marcelo Bielsa is by far the least likely to take a "Director of Football" type position, anywhere. He's the ultimate tracksuit manager, spends hours at the training ground, hours more watching DVDs.
  10. Skacel tough to best Gaston might rival him in time. Honourable mentions to Prutton and Kenton
  11. 1. Scheiderlin 2. Cork 3. Sir Rickie
  12. Reading were hopeless - very poor in possession and never looked remotely like scoring apart from set pieces and the odd time Saints committed a lot of players forward and we almost got stung on the break. Fonte and Yoshi didn't have much to do , never mind Superkelv. Cork was excellent and my MOTM. Both fullbacks very good too - Clyne caught the eye in particular. He's a fine player. I actually thought it was one of Lambert's poorer games For all his hard work, Rodriguez does not look like a Premier League striker to me - a bit clumsy, and just half a step off the pace in the penalty area, e.g. he doesn't get a shot away in time. Wouldn't mind getting a look at Mayuka in a central role (although ideally Gastón will play just behind Lambert, hoping Lallana's injury isn't serious.
  13. the official website makes me want to cry
  14. Didn't Tony Cottee score in all four divisions in a single season about fifteen years ago?
  15. No surprises given the step up in class required for the Premier League. Hadn't given it much thought until now, but I do feel a new first choice keeper should be a priority this summer. I've often thought that keepers offer the best value for money because a very good one is worth as many points as a top striker, but at a fraction of the cost. Michel Vorm for Swansea a good example. Davis will always be a club hero for his role in the promotions, but to be competitive in the PL I fear we'll need someone with more all-round quality.
