  1. Be easy on GM. Like Duckie he is going through the grieving process folliwing his hero's electoral defeat.

Presumably you include grouse shoot staff with the people who run hunting clubs.
  3. I read it. TBH I can't say that I was that impressed. A bit patronising and not that well researched. JWP's last international cap came 4 years ago apparently whilst our team is a bit "long in the tooth."
  4. It lets you browse a few articles for free. That's what I did.
  5. Its not just the cost of the ID card that makes it difficult for marginalised people to obtain them. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/courts_law/getting-a-photo-id-so-you-can-vote-is-easy-unless-youre-poor-black-latino-or-elderly/2016/05/23/8d5474ec-20f0-11e6-8690-f14ca9de2972_story.html
  6. It is estimated that only 15% of Americans have passports.
  7. ... and of course it is only the Democrats who commit election fraud. Republicans are whiter than white and have no dead people voting for them. Mind you, Republicans are so adept at gerrymandering they probably do not have to commit electoral fraud. eg The Republican controlled state of Texas positioned just 1 voter drop off box to ease early voting in the largely Democratic city of Houston. 1 drop off box for a population of over 4 million!!
  8. In such a large country I think that it is inevitable that some people are still voting whilst results are being announced. eg Hawaii is many hours behind the east coast. Nevertheless the implication from Trump that voting is going on which is fraudulent is just another example of how that bloke is suffering from some sort of mental illness. What I particularly find amusing about his claims is that the states which saw fraudulent activities are all states which had not voted for him, some of them have voting processes and procedures laid down by Republicans and the frauds only relate to Presidential voting. Voting for the House and the Senate were not subject to fraud. The bloke is a fruit case!!
  9. MOTD came up with a fascinating fact last night. Apparently over a year ago we lost 9 nil. Well I'm blowed. Who knew that? It was so fascinating that they had to mention it twice.
  10. A very good read.
  11. Go easy on Duckie. He is clearly grieving for Trump as his right wing fantasy world is beginning to fall apart. He is posting more and more nonsense. Let him grief in peace and engage him in debate once he has recovered.
  12. Its all right. They dominated the match thread. If you read that and missout the bits when we score you'd think that each of our players is a jerk and that we lost the match. Armstrong would never have scored as he is useless and should have been subbed off.
  13. For the first 46 minutes against Spurs we were by far the better team. The commentators were saying that Spurs were getting increasingly frustrated and how the half time score was not a fair reflection of the game. OK it all went pear shaped in the second half but that first half performance was a taste of what has come in subsequent matches. Just think where we would be if we had turned up against Palace. A great night to be a Saints fan. Lets just enjoy it.
  14. I can see the Portsmouth Evening News headlines now: Portsmouth lad captain of the team at the top of the Premier League
  15. Yes. We only count the match commentary.
  16. My missus says 3 mins 30. I say 5 36. My lad is saying 23 20 whilst his girlfriend is going for 11 52. One of us has to be right.
  17. A Friday night home match. I am sure that the commentator will tell us what happened the last time we played at home on a Friday night. I go for 5 mins 36 secs in the 9 nil sweepstake - after it will have been mentioned in the pre kick off discussion.
  18. Can someone please clarify for me: Is Trump still playing a blinder?
  19. What are you on about now? After the 2016 election did Hilary or " miilions of lefties and pinkoes" threaten court proceedings, claim to have won whilst many states were still counting, declared that she had won certain states which were still counting and issued an avalanche of crazy tweets?
  20. Hmmm. I am not sure about that. I know where you are coming from but a large amount of money will be required not only to buy the club and get them promoted but also to ensure that they don't become one of the "yo yo clubs" like Norwich, WBA and Fulham.
  21. I agree with Billy Shite's comment on Twitter: If Saints win on Friday night lets start a demonstration " Stop the League".
  22. ... but what would Princess Diana and Madeleine McCann think of Biden?
  23. The American electoral college system was designed centuries ago to satisfy the demands of the individual states who were suspicious of the powers of a federal government. It is even more outdated than our system and it definitely favours the Republicans. The Democrats have won the popular vote in 6 out of the last 7 American elections. When counting is over this time Biden is likely to have more than 4% of the popular vote than Trump yet the electoral college vote will be close. Throw voter supression into the mix (eg one drop off box for pre election votes in the predominantly Democratic city of Houston - population over 4.1million) and the Democrats have some pretty substantial headwinds to contend with.
