Just returned from a trip to North Yorkshire. Excellent beers up there and a proliferation of small breweries. Good to see them thriving . Anything from Saltaire , Wensleydale and Pennine breweries tended to be good. Ripon with its Timothy Taylor pub is a must for anyone who enjoys Landlord or Bolt Cutter. Black Sheep is big in the north but has expanded and is now often seen down here in the south - justifiably so in my opinion. Just avoid the Theakstons.
