Maybe you are right. Maybe there is also a tooth fairy and Santa Claus does exist.
  2. I guess this means that Cummings will now only be invited to the evening do.
  3. I wonder if the Covid inquiry will now be brought forward. It was very convenient for Johnson that as the inquiry isn't to start until next year , it is unikely to issue its report before another General Election. With a loose cannon like Cummings firing grapeshot everywhere it may be in the Government's interest to get the investigation started so that his allegations can be investigated and refuted.
  4. I blame it on Redmond...or Stephens .... or whoever is today's whipping boy.
  5. I can only think that Ralph believes that Jack would not be able to cope with West Ham's more physical style.
  6. I think it has to be a military invasion of Europe. They claim not to like our music but I wonder if they like our piano wire around their necks! 🤪 I am sure that our resident Pompey Poly, poison peddlar weirdo would agree.
  7. Its easy. They just set up a template beforehand "Stephens is shite" "Redmond is shite" "Adams is shite" etc etc

Penny wise. Pound foolish. The cost of opening up a couple of extra terminals would be dwarfed by the cost of the virus and potential variants spreading around the arrival hall.

    Coronavirus

It is crazy. There are 5 terminals at Heathrow. Why don't they send incoming flights to different terminals depending on the status of the country where the flight originated?
  10. Its nice to know that certain things never change in football "Dirty Leeds"
  11. Topps Tiles today published their latest set of accounts. Nowhere in their accounts did they mention their recruitment of the smartest business brain in football. Very strange.
  12. He must be stark raving bonkers to even contemplate leaving by far the greatest fans the world has ever seen.

Ah well. Its nice to know that a bloke who sweeps the floor in a pub is a lot more knowledgable than all those professors and academics who sit on the SAGE committee. It makes you wonder why the Government bothers with SAGE.
  14. At this time of the season it is customary to choose the player of the season / goal of the season / young player of the season etc etc. How about looking at the VAR decisions that have both gone in our favour and have gone against us? Which have been the worst decisions / most memorable decisions? For me: Decisions in our favour: Nominations: - The handball against Spurs at home. - Our penalty against Brighton. - Ings goal v Wolves in the cup. My winner in this category is the penalty that we were awarded against Brighton. We certainly were fortunate in this instance. Decisions against us: Nominations (there are many to choose from) - Matt Cash's handball v Villa. - Ings's goal v Villa - Adams goal v Man U - Bertrand's handball v Wolves My winner is the Bertrand handball. Not only was it totally unfair but it also changed the whole complexion of the game. There must have been others which I have missed but these are the most memorable for me.
  15. Chelsea fans distinguishing themselves on 606 and really showing their lack of class. There was the one who claimed that Tuchel was not the man for Chelsea. Well I suppose that they did lose a match so of course he should be sacked. There was the one who claimed that the 25 yard worldie was an embarrassing goal to concede. There was the one who thought that VAR was only used at the end and wasn't used throughout the match. Typical Chelsea class.
  16. I agree. The Red Bull option may not be perfect but it would offer some sort of stability and should be preferable to a hitherto unknown. American hedge fund or reclusive Chinese businessman. I have no idea if Red Bull is an option. We can but hope.
  17. I have just read Simon Jordan's book about his time as owner of Crystal Palace. He comes over as an arrogant, conceited prick but it is the economics of the game which are most interesting. An astute businessman, during his 9/10 year spell at Palace he lost £30 million of his fortune. That was in an era and division when you could get decent players for £1 million. To get a "decent" owner woth deep enough pockets who could make a difference is going to be very difficult. Jordan is a lifelong Palace fan who spent a small fortune but failed to achieve much. To get one who has the club's interest at heart is going to be well nigh impossible.
  18. I think that is right ... as long as you can guarantee a return to the Premier League after a couple of years. Those 4 years when we were in the Championship were just awful.
  19. I am sorry mate but disappointment is the default fate of all football fans. It goes with the territory. I don't think that any of my friends and acquaintances are ever all that happy with their team. They have occasional good times (sometimes a cup run, sometimes a good season or two) but most of the time they would echo your views. My mate who is a Liverpool fan for example is currently distraught at how their season is falling apart. The Spurs fan is continually miserable about his team (how many years without a trophy?) whilst the Arsenal fan I worked with for over 7 years was never happy. "Wenger in / Wenger out / Emery in / Emery out." etc etc. It is not just fans of the big 6 who normally feel let down by their team. If you want mediocrity just look at Everton - according to my Everton mate. Too good for relegation battles but despite expectation and promises never good enough for the Champions League. The Baggies fan just thinks his team is shite and is only made happy when he talks to his work colleagues who support Wolves and who are currently very pissed off after a couple of great years. Outside the Premier League neither my mate who supports Birmingham or the one who follows Coventry are happy. They have had their brief good times but to say that they are not currently in love with their teams is an understatement. I could go on but I guess you get my drift. I don't disagree that supporting Saints is often painful but very few fans would say anything different about their team. That is the lot of the football fan. If you dont like it you can either change your team every year and support the latest winning outfit or give up football and just follow the Harlem Globetrotters.
  20. Even better - just shag Boris Or better still Give Boris some money so that you can shag him.
  21. Any news on whether the red card has been rescinded?
  22. We came second to Reading.
  23. Eh? Your anti Adkins agenda is going a bit haywire. We did lose at home to Reading but we took 4 points off West Ham in our promotion season. Don't let facts get in the way of your prejudices.
  24. Take another look at the incident. JWP was there pleading with the ref. As was Bednarek. As was Redmond. As was Armstrong. As was Minamino. What else did you want? JWP to chin the ref???? Another Saintsweb myth is that the team doesn't plead with the ref. Look at Bednarek after the handball incident before the ref points to the spot. Watch that again and then try to say that we don't talk to the ref.
