I wonder if the mods could add a yawning emoji which people could use when the mob start on SOG.

Thought that we could have used the wings a lot more - especially in the first half when Tella was often in acres of space but we (primarily KWP) chose to go inside. Must say that I love the extended additional time that is going to be played this season. Knowing that we had 8 minutes (last season it would have been 4) meant a less frantic additional time. 8 bookings in the game -the first one after 14 seconds !!! You get booked for kicking the ball away a metre but nothing for the repeated fouls on Tella. I am not sure that the refs have got this sorted correctly!!

A few observations on JWP 1. There is no way he is turning out for Saints on Saturday. The risk of injury would surely prevent this from happening. 2. The idea of him staying and becoming a Southampton legend would surely hold little appeal for someone with his Portsmouth connections. 3. West Ham are a Noddy club and there is always the risk for JWP that they will come down this season. They are however in Europe this season. It may well be a Mickey Mouse league but it is Europe after all and JWP is on record as saying that it isi the European jaunts that he enjoyed most at Saints.

Does anyone understand what this idiot keeps blathering about? Germany may be in a mild recession whilst the UK is escaping a recession by the skin of economists's teeth. On any measure of prosperity however Germany outstrips the UK. Your average German is richer and has a better standard of living than your average Brit. Loads of good things today but the St Mary's crowd is going to have to be patient. There are going to be dissenting voices when the full back and centre back pass the ball to each other 4 or 5 times within 15 seconds with zero movement. A high back line will put pressure on the defence to avoid cock ups. The goalie is going to have to be good at sweeping. I hope this doesn't come over as too negative. The passing today was sublime. Around the 60th minute there was an amazing sequence of crisp, fast, first time passing which took the breath away. More of that and it should be a great season.

The country is sick and tired of all those public services like hospitals and schools awash with cash. I am sure that tax cuts will overturn a Labour 20% lead in the polls. 😁😁😁😁
