Apartheid didn't end because de Klerk woke up one day and decided that South Africa had been doing things wrong. The boycotts of South African goods, economic sanctions and sporting isolation all inspired by *fuckwits in another cointry* was one of the major reasons that it ended. Don't underestimate the effect of international protests.
  2. ODI and T20 in early December. 😊😊😊
  3. Very unlikely in Barbados. 😁😁😁
  4. Apologies. I can see my post now. It definitely wasn't there an hour or so ago. I am out of the country atm in a part of the world where the Internet can be dodgy. My only explanation.
  5. More posts strangely deleted by the mods. God only knows why my post pointing out that those recently sacked from the Labour front bench would not be sacked for long was considered to be suitable for deletion. I think the power of deletion has gone to the heads of mods. Mind you, I bet this post will be deleted as it criticises the mods. 😁😁
  6. It makes you wonder how long the suspensions from the front bench will last for the likes of Jess Philips. A meaningless vote.
  7. What exactly did he do that was so appalling?
  8. With a bit of luck she won't matter after the next election. Like many of the unmentionable Tory MPs she will be a victim of the Red wall collapse.
  9. Thank God for that. If nothing else the last few years have demonstrated that a shit show follows when parties (both Labour and Conservative) follow their members's instincts.
  10. Good point about our style of play possibly helping us in the lottery of the playoffs.
  11. Does GM think that referring to his opponents as "ladies" is some sort of insult?? He definitely has a strange opinion of 50% of the human race. 😁😁😁
  12. At the party conference last month Sunak claimed that the Conservatives were the party of change. Vote Conservative for a change from the approach of the previous 30 years..... And then he appoints Cameron as Foreign Secretary. 😁😁😁
  13. So how many points should we have?
  14. We have plenty of resources...but don't forget where we have come from. Last season we were absolutely shit. We were knocked out of the FA cup by a league 2 side, were lucky to beat a league 1 side in the League Cup and were so far adrift in the League that our relegation was confirmed well before the final day. From end of August onwards we only won once at home and we had no recognisable style of play. We were shit. Leeds and Leicester were also relegated. They have similar resources but had a better base than us. Call it scar tissue. Call it whatever you like but we had a huge hangover at the start of the season. For us to have rebuilt and to be in our current position after a third of the season is one heluva achievement.
  15. Political views closer to UKIP than traditional Conservatism.
  16. Have Chelsea fans seen anything of Lavia? Is he still injured or just unable to get into the Chelsea squad? Perhaps he needs to spend the second half of the season back here on loan? It would help him get used to playing again and would strengthen our squad at a critical time of the season.
  17. Those games are going to be key six pointers. Great fun. I prefer to play those away from home so a draw is normally a good result with the home team dropping 2 points.

He will never stop if he finds out that the culprit is a chick with a dick. 😁
  19. If anyone is bothered to look it up Liberty University sounds a pretty odd place. A Christian evangelical college it is proud to be a teacher of creationism. An oddball college promoting views that a complete weirdo promulgates. Whoever would have believed it??? 😁😁😁
  20. To be perfectly honest I couldn't give a flying fuck what you think. You pontificate. You don't debate. Whatever you post tends to come from some weird source and is normally a load of gibberish. When delivered in such an arrogant, condescending manner your views convert nobody and just make people think that you are completely weird.
  21. https://www.standard.co.uk/news/politics/suella-braverman-accused-faking-contribution-law-textbook-b1030013.html Another reason for Fareham voters to kick Suella out.... She is a liar.
  22. Is there any chance that Suells could be a *blue wall casualty* at the next election? She did have a huge majority in 2019 but nowadays there are few safe Conservative seats. Her Fareham constituency is subject to boundary changes. Does anyone have any knowledge of what these are likely to do to the constituency profile?
  23. Pier?? Portishead??? Clearly the geography of the North Somerset region is one of those rare subjects about which you know nothing. 😁😁😁
  24. Guided Missile went to a posh school and ended up studying at Portsmouth Poly. With that sort of education he should have done better than Portsmouth Poly. Just feel sorry for such a loser.
  25. Inexorably eh?? The last time that I tried to talk to you about exchange rates on this forum you called me a sanctimonious prick. I will try again but this time WHY DON'T YOU READ THIS AND TRY AND LEARN SOMETHING?? The dollar's rise against GBP is not inexorable. The pound fell immediately against both the dollar and the Euro and has never recovered since this country's bat shit crazy decision to leave the EU. GBP traded around 1.50 /1.60 against USD in the years leading up to 2016. Once this country decided to shoot itself in the foot it has tended to be in the 1.20/ 1 30 range. The same is true with the Euro - instead of the 1.50 / 1.60 range it has been in the 1.10 /1 20 range. You can quote your favourite economist nutters as much as you like but to paraphrase an old saying you can't fight the markets. Brexit was batshit crazy and the markets know that. Everything that we buy in USD now costs more to the British consumer. As oil is priced in USD it means that since 2016 everyone in this country has been paying at least 5 pence a litre more for fuel than we would have done pre Brexit. The current level of USD v GBP is not inexorable. It is obvious to anyone who is not an arrogant, pathetic simpleton.
