He did play well. Once or twice I thought he played our defence into trouble ... but if you twist my arm I could give him 9.5. I feel good tonight.
-
He was magnificent. The others were exceptional. For a time in the second half Reading's main tactic was to pump long balls behind Scacel. It worked for a time but Perry covered him well and in the end they tried different tactics.

10 - what do you think???

Brilliant. Makes supporting Saints all worthwhile. Player ratings : Davis - 10. James - 10 Cork - 10 Perry - 10 Scacel -9 (it would be silly to give them all 10) Surman - 10 Schneiderlin - 10 Mcgoldrick - 10 Lallana - 10 Robertson - 10 BWP - 10 Sub- Patterson - 9 Not on long enough to earn 10

I second that. This is good news.

Where is the Waterloo Arms? Is it Lymington - home of LC ???

I went to uni in Liverpool. One of the halls of residence was called Rathbone Hall. It was where they put the stuck up students.

Thats 35. There are 92 clubs in the Football league. There are 42 in Scotland. There are thousands in non league fooball (you have listed Torquay who play in the conference). There are many who play in wales. So really 35 is just a handful. I do not see your point. :-)

It is now 72 hours since the wolves game but the appalling refereeing that day (and the performance of the Kingsland linesman) is still annoying me. Does anyone have an address (email or snail mail) where the outraged supporter can write to vent his criticism and hopefully ensure that those 2 buffoons never set foot on a football field again? Is there someone at the FA who would listen? Is there such an address .... or is it down to the Five Live Rant line???

The Scacel decision was amazing. I didn't thin that he even touched the Wolves player when he went down.

What did Duncan (Fitzhugh Fella) say on Radio Hampshire?
Tamesaint replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
It couldn't have been Sundance. The doctors don't let him near a telephone in the home where he lives ;-) -
Wilde posts on here from time to tiime. I am sure that he would read a thread like this which mentions his name in the title. If he was an honourable man he could answer on here. If he is as spineless as people say he will not. Lets wait and see.

Who cares if he has Wilde's permission.

60.. In the programme for the match against Man U when we were relegated he wrote that fans could take heart from the fact that we had excellent catering and that we had the fastest growing radio station in the south of england. On the way home that day, these facts gave me & junior Tame very little comfort. 61. Klingons. 62. The rest of the football world consider him to be a k**b & laugh at us for having him as our club's leader.
-
40. The £4 million that he has received in salary and dividends since he first appeared at the club. 41.The £563,000 that he and his mate Cowen received in compensation when he was deposed 2 years ago. If the man had any scruples or love for the club you would expect him to pay it back as we are currently so cash strapped.

This is one of the most crazy things about Lowe. One of the reasons that we were relegated IMHO was that we had a bloated squad of mediocre players. Rather than ditch his pay policy Lowe preferred quantity rather than quality. We ended up going down because we did not have enough quality players. Fast forward to this season and Lowe is back to his old tricks. We cannot afford Stern. We cannot afford Rasiak or Saga or Andrew Davies . According to this post Oakley in League 1 is out of our price range. Instead though we can afford to fill the squad with no end of loanees and "cheap" buys - most of whom are not making the team - eg Forecast, Gasmi, Pulis, Smith, Robertson, Peckhart to name a few off the top of my head. If financial constraints are so tight wouldn't we be better to concentrate our resources on one or two quality players rather than the current scattergun approach?

10. He attracts the support of failed film producers (aka Scooby). 11. Mentalists like him (Sundance Beast).

Are we better off than when Crouch was here?
Tamesaint replied to Channon's Sideburns's topic in The Saints
I probably don't know what I am talking about but couldn't we have another rights issue with Leon underwiting the issue ? That way he could pump some money into the club & at the same time if the two amigos cannot afford to stump up anything themeselves their shareholding would be diluted in Crouch's favour. The only problem in this would be Rupert. His ego means that he has to be top dog ..... but I suppose if things got really bad with the bank , he may have no other option. -
I Know exactly how you feel

Hiw can you say that???? Rupes was head hunted by that world renowned firm WH Ireland. Scooby and Sundance (god rest their souls) told us on many occasions that they were a major financial institution. :-) :-) -
This is one of the most annoying features of our revolutionary coaching scheme. We are going to go through the pain of matches like lat night's whilst the lads get experience & thenby the time next season starts we will have a fresh et of lads having to get experience as many of the previous crop will have to be sold. .. and with the proceeds of the sale we can invest in a new radio station / insurance company / mortgage provider and also make sure that those long suffering shareholders get a good dividend.

Thats a good idea.

What are you going to do with all of your Firebox vouchers? I must have enough now to buy the company

For us his throws were slow gentle lobs into the area to nobody in particular. By the time they came down the defence had had time to organise itself. For Stoke they are low, flat and fast and are aimed at Fuller. Now Fuller ... why was he cr*p for us yet is happily scoring in the Premiership ???

Preston 2-3 Saints - You've Gotta be Havin' a Laugh
Tamesaint replied to Arizona's topic in The Saints
Radio five Live gave the score as Preston 2-0 Saints at 4.45. I had missed the second half and only knew that that was the half time score. When they announced 90 seconds later that Mcgoldrick had scored and that the score was 2-3 I just assumed that they had made another one of their mistakes.... but wasn't sure whether it was 2-0 or 2-3 which was the mistake. I had to wait until 5.03 and their classified results service before I could be certain of the final score.
