  1. Trawling through the hundreds, nay sorry thousands of posts which you have written Nineteen either under your current name or under one of your many alternative names is not something that many people would want to do!! A death sentence would be more preferable. I am sure that you slagged off MLT. I have seen you do so when he played against Charlton. Or was it against Leeds. I forget which team you supported in those days. You slag off most club legends. I am sure that MLT is somewhere on your hit list. Oh by the way. Any idea what Justin Fashanu is up to these days??? :-) :-)
  2. Maybe - but being a West Ham fan didn't stop him from buying into Man U in a big way.
  3. That was exactly my thinking SRS. I am completely NOT ITK but I was thinking along exactly the same lines. More circumstantial evidence is that : According to the Rich List Tabor is worth £520m - which equates to "several hundred million" They have previously tried to buy into Man U. They didn't get control but they did end up with several million in profit on the ManU shares that they bought. It would not surprise me if they were to try the same again with another football club. Although they do not have horses with Mick Channon there is always the connection with him through the horse racing world. We are probably barking up the wrong tree - but if was Tabor (with possibly Magnier and/or Macmanus as well) I would be incredibly optimistic about our future.Coolmore which Tabor and Magnier set up, is now probably the leading horse racing organisation in the UK. Last year they won a record breaking number of Group 1 (highest quality) races. I have been told by someone who deals with them on a professional basis that they are very professional in everything that they do. I had better stop or I will get too excited!! It will definitely be a huge disappointment if it is not them and instead we end up with Lowe - mark 2!!
  4. I also think that there is a Tabor / Magnier / MacManus connection. They can spot business opportunities amongst football clubs as they made a packet when ManU were sold to the Glazers. They had built up a sizeable holding in Man U. They courted Sir Alex (a horse he "owned" won the Guineas). They looked on course to mount a takeover themselves but then had to satisfy themselves with a nice profit on their holding when the Glazers took over. If it is them and it gets announced next week all Saints fans can "support" their horses in the Derby next week - one of them is bound to win it according to the bookies!!.
  5. What are Leeds and Charlton to you? Aren't they also part of your family?? Are they children by your girlfriends??

    Leon Crouch

No idea - and I suspect that you do not know either. It is difficult to see how the staff could have been paid without it and the consequences of this happening would not be too pleasant!!
  7. Excellent news isn't it 19 - Leon is digging into his own pocket to keep the club ticking along. Will you join me in thanking him for his efforts?? Do
  8. I am sure that he will be the first on here to admit he was wrong!!
  9. I am sure that Lowe still supports the Saints - he is just too much of a tight wad to match Leon's contributions.
  10. Thank God for Leon.
  11. In the year ended 31 Dec 2008 it was £6.077 billion profit before tax. I don't think it was £15m in Q1?!!

    Kevin Keegan

Nice to know that you admit it.

So you were a Saints fan and a Charlton fan but all along you supported Leeds? Or was it Saints that you really supported?? I am confused. Just admit - you are a fraud and my dog is a bigger Saints supporter than you are!!

Nineteen .. what was it you were saying about resorting to insults??

    Kevin Keegan

Well if that's the case, just admit it - don't one minute say that I have always supported Charlton then to say that I was a Leeds supporter the next. At this rate he will have supported all 92 clubs - including Portsmuff !! :-) :-)

Unfortunately Charlton, Leeds, Salisbury and Saints have all gone bust in my memory. I am not sure about Andover and Basingstoke but I wouldn't bet against it. Being supported by Sundance / Canteen must definitely be a poison pill!!!

I see 19C. You were a Leeds fan when you were 7. Was this at the same time as you were a Charlton fan??? After all you told us that: "I have always followed Charlton as I lived in Blackheath for many years and went to a few games" http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?p=193986#post193986 it was post 52 on that thread. Were you telling porkies then when you said that you were a Charlton fan?? Or are you telling porkies now when you say that you were a Leeds fan?? I suggest that you are telling porkies when you come on here and claim that you are a Southampton fan. When I was 7 my mother told me not to tell porkies - people who do need a good memory to remember all the stories that they tell. Clearly you do not have a good memory.

Still talking carp as ususal 19. What exactly is the "myth" about McMenemy? Perhaps in the strange world in which you live LM never won thr 1 bit of silverware in this club's history. But I am pleased to say that he did in mine. Perhaps in your strange world, he never guided us to runners up in the league - but he did in the real world. Whay exactly do you have against Lawrie?? Were you a Man U fan in 1976?? It takes all sorts .... but fortunately there is only one like you!!.

Thanks doggface. Are they that confident at the moment that they will be in pole position when the dust has all died down???
  20. Imagine what it would be like to have to explain what has been going on if he had left 6 years ago today!! "Well you see, it was like this. We lost the Cup Final 1-0 and then ........"
  21. What does that mean??
  22. And whilst you have been away everyone has taken the p**s out of you for thr vehement way you reckoned that Wotte was wonderful and would never see us relegated!!! :-) :-)
  23. These are hourly rates.
  24. This appeared today on my desk at work which I thought may be of interest "Begbies Traynor is a national firm. The rates charged are set nationally but vary to suit local market conditions. The rates applying to the Preston office are: Partner 1 Charge out rate per £395 Partner 2 £350 Director £325 Senior Manager £295 Manager £250 Assistant Manager £195 Senior Administratot £160 Administrator £130 Junior Administrator £100 Cashier £100 Secretarial £100 " ... and I bet it is cheaper oop North in Preston than down here. Quite an expensive game this administration lark!!!
  25. 2 days. On the 20th May (earlier if they do not use electronic means) the club will need to send to the Inland Revenue, the National Insurance and income tax deductions that were made from the salaries paid in April. I imagine that this will be quite a hefty sum. Often it is the failure to pay this that causes financially stricken clubs to have problems with the taxman (and the subsequent further point deductions if no CVA is reached). So next week is going to be quite a strain on the cashflow!!! Somebody must be feeling confident of a deal being done before next week to cancel sunday's game & turn down "derisory" offers for Dyer and Rasiak!!
