Saints 2 Reading 0 - Post Match Reactions
captainchris replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Agree NA has made a mistake going to Reading. They haven't got one player that is decent - not one...! All average championship players at best. That squad needs a complete overhaul and Reading will not invest enough to make that a decent passing team. They need about 15 new players by my count. Sorry Nige but that looks like one hell of a challenge, even with pots of money and without - well - just cannot see it....You are down and coming back up looks a long long way off...... -
Saints 2 Reading 0 - Post Match Reactions

Yes interesting point Ramirez flatters to deceive at times but Guly - oh my God........He is RUBBISH. I am now a bashing Guly yes! He is just total SH--E. Misses a sitter then hacks down a player 15 seconds later giving them an opportunity to throw the ball in the box. This guy should be nowhere near this team. He must be some sort of super star Messi like player in training but on the pitch in a game he is a joke! Why would you ever pick him??????? Put anyone else in but not him please..... Fantastic team play from us in last 60mins again but we are very vulnerable defensively, particularly the centre backs who are not dominent in the air. The ball is rarely cleared by a header from us and usually ends up dropping on the ground where upon an ensuing panick takes place and we scramble the ball away - hopefully.... -
Wrong - again
-
Not sure I agree that both teams didn't play well. Chelsea were in control for most of the game and with Mata and Hazzard are far superior to the team that played against us! United granted were poor most of the game.

MON Sacked / Di Canio Appointed at Sunderland
captainchris replied to Olallana's topic in The Saints
Ooowwww not sure that of that comment or it's relevance to the here and now....... O'Neil has been out of his depth for a few years now. Times have moved on - he hasn't - poor coach and manager these days ..... -
FOX!!!!!!!! Is this a dream??? Why would you ever play FOX???
-
Sorry but total clap trap....... He's not even playing for the junior teams this is the POINT!!!! He's not playing at all. So you have completely lost the question........ IF he is a long term option any not play him in the reserve/junior teams ???? Hell loop this is the question ?????

Adkins to look at Saints for transfer targets?
captainchris replied to SO16_Saint's topic in The Saints
Fox - No you won't - he's already in my car half way there.......... -
Good luck Nigel but I fear for your choice of new job.... Reading are full of championship players and you will not have the budget or backup you had at Saints. Saints are a big club compared to Reading - the expectation of the players will be lower, the club is living a dream outside of its real position in football. Nigel will have nightmares there and be disatisfied compared to managing at St Mary's. His body lanquage was in my opinion telling us he is still a Saint at heart. I think this is marriage of convenience rather than a real love affair...... Time will tell but Nigel - have you done the right thing? A team such as Leeds or Forest would have suited him better - bigger clubs and further away so that he would not be living our shadow....

I have to say that having a large person sat next to me on a plane and 'overflowing' into my seat is not acceptable - charge em more - but give a bigger seat too meaning they pay lots more...... To be frank 'sharing' my seat with someone else is not what I'm looking to buy in my ticket price. The point the person makes about being only just over weight on luggage but being charged £40.00 is valid too...
-
well I tried judging him on 16 months without a goal and still came up with the same result - has to be replaced.... Midfielder and striker or mixture or what ever you like....
-
lol like this !!!!
-
You can't say opinions are 'fixed' just because they offer evidence of the opinion against. If you could offer some evidence for your side of the story in the last 18months I would be mightily surprised. So who is it that has fixed ideas?
-
GUly is not one of our stronger links and is mostly not Premier League standard - certainly one to replace in the summer. Saturday's cameo really summed Guly up. Where we are heading he is just not good enough. Two definates to move on this summer - Fox and Guly....
-
The final paragraph does indeed underline a huge difference between NA and MP. NA's reverence to Liverpool in the away fixture was completely out of order and demotivational - we had lost before we kicked a ball at Anfield....
-
Well yes but if he picks Fox again I will have major doubts!
-
Guly 'absolute waste of space ' DM what a great summariser!!! Good old Dave GUly very predictable ...
-
I would rather hope our front four do not 'swap sides' or we are in deep do da! !!! ;-)
-
Good call this ......
-
At least for this one we won't have NA praising Liverpool up so dramatically for the week prior to the match. For the away match the players were were in awe of the Anfield powerhouse and froze on the pitch. Nigel handled that game's build up very badly indeed and completely fumbled the psychological battle.

'The Three' - who should play there in our 4-2-3-1?
captainchris replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
I) I know Davis isn't fancy but we seem to play well when he's in there and he makes runs beyond SRL which the others struggle to do...
