So Ralph, you would continue with the same formation would you??????????? Jesus !
-
Ridiculous reply…….
-
Precisely this. At one point we had a throw in about 20 yards from their goal line and had 6 players in front of the ball. We cannot maintain possession because there is no one to be seen in midfield. Our wing backs are ridiculously too far up the pitch and therefore marked or nowhere near in a position to receive a pass even if our two defensive/central midfielders could get hold of the ball in the first place. In short we always have too many players in front of the ball. We lose the ball and invariably the opposition are in on our back two within 5 seconds or so. This system is not working. Ralph just repeats, repeats coaching poor practice and making poor choices with the players we have, though not sure how well any players would perform under his guidance. Clearly time to unload. Today you could see the players do not believe any more…

Pathetic football. No coaching, tactics and the players can’t be bothered, you can see that…
-
Whilst this does have a bearing on things when you watch our tactics and set up with far too many players far too advanced and then having to run like hell to get back when we lose the ball etc etc you have to question the Manager. Christ most of the game we are playing with a back two! We are begging to get hammered… Ralph is definitely a major contributor to our issues.

True though our tactics and set up mean both Rom and JWP have too much to do. Two up front is wasteful and often leaves us overrun in the second half. Tactically we need to enable more procession based build up play by reverting to one up front and building play with bodies in field who can join the attack when appropriate. Romeu in particular tires quickly. A much more sensible proposition yesterday was to replace one of the two up front with an extra central midfielder and possibly Romeu too. Ralph’s tactics are too blinkered and his substitutions are bewildering if not just downright ridiculous. When it comes to managing games he is more often than not outthought by his peers. Ralph is more likely when we are losing control of the midfield to bring on a third attacker than shore up midfield. With two or three exceptions our players are better than the end results. Ralph is far too autonomous and this does lead to poor decision making both tactically and picking his favourites first come what may; he has too much power which he doesn’t handle well….. Well said Danny Murphy on MOTD by the way!

What are those pathetic ‘long’ throwin’s from Salisu, embarrassing and pointless.
-
Wtf Ralph… Tella off !!!! We are losing the midfield and you take Tella off who was having a good game and bring on a third striker.. Armstrong has been terrible, which game is Ralph watching? Just weird…. Livramento is no full back either and needs a break.
-
Whilst Broja does look more of a striker than the other two he was not aware of the opposition back line and was to be seen several times calling for pass when stood 2 yards offside. This could be coached of course if we had any coaches! Same with our back three which became a back two on numerous occasions as they took turns to be 30 yards up the pitch and out of position. Again coaching needed but again we dont have any coaching it transpires.

Oh dear…. Thanks for the tactics ‘lesson’ Ralph but I’m not buying your midfield/false 9/ 3 up front master class. We were crap today and had no midfield, hence there were umpteen long balls in the general direction of the ‘front 3’ We also lose control of games as they wear on because we are having to cover so much ground to make up for lack of numbers in central areas. Your ‘very strong’ pairing of Romeu and JWP is not enough, not withstanding that neither are creative and both are defensive. ‘Very Strong’ is also a bit far fetched. Too often we are tactically left wanting….
-
We deployed Che where ????? Lol Hardly ! Ralph plays with no midfield most games and in this league you cannot do that. As for against Liverpool, it’s suicide. The problem is not too few forwards in our team selection, it’s too many What our coaches do all week is also worrying. Indeed does Ralph coach at all…. Yes yes it’s Liverpool, we know that but Christ we were very poor, tactically useless and badly managed.

Villa are really really dreadful. We should easily see them off…

Honestly two plodders up front ! Waste of space again Ralph… -
If the 35 games were not the last 35 and those games were chosen as a set of games randomly in amongst one or two hundred then agreed. However, it was the last 35 games which is a considerable volume of games and is significant as it signifies the most recent trend and justifies the argument of the most relevant recent form and not just very recent either. 35 is not therefor arbitrary in this case. Yes you could always say why didn’t you chose a different number but as it’s a relatively large number it is neither cherry picking or arbitrary.
-
Hang on, 35 games is ‘arbitrary’ lol 😂
-
Been saying this for a long time. Not being able to use both feet as a professional at any level let alone Premier League is unforgivable. You should not be available for selection until you can do this simple task.
-
Goal machine Redders up front ! If Redmond is the answer what is the question one might ask… Over to you Ralph…
-
No need for the aggression mate . Calm yourself down !
-
Ok it’s Frank then ….. Has done well at both clubs he’s been at and it’s is tactically very intelligent which you intimate Howe is lacking in. Defensively Ralph has been very poor and my question is also would you want to bring in a manager who has a mediocre record in the prem and with two 9.0 defeats under his belt at his last club? Certainly not sure I would be cheering if our directors brought in that manager …….. Agree what you say about Howe but with that in mind Lampard would be worth considering.
-
Well mostly Foden did and don’t forget the standard of the opposition.
-
In all honesty is JWP world class ?
