  1. Have on good authority tonight that you are indeed right. The players have no confidence in Portaloo and actually RL is in any case now picking the team! Makes you weep..................................................
  2. 11,000
  3. Lowe should be certified, there is something gravely wrong with him and I'm not joking here. A business plan which includes laying off off all your skilled workers is NOT SOMETHING THE BANK WOULD AGREE WITH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. A business is not sustainable with no skill base unless it's McDonald's and even then it's difficult !!!!! This whole bloody mess is beyond belief, take me on Lowe - I will sell the required business plan to the bank you can't do it or won't - move aside you are not thinking a winning strategy which leads to one thing a loosing strategy and a loosing mentality which we have in abundance. You have a large investment that needs protecting let experts get in there and help you out YOU NEED HELP - SEEK IT !!!!!!!!!
  4. I can't stop laughing at that ridiculous comment - even SJ needs to be on the pitch to score goals !!!!!!! I see it is now confirmed on the OS that the senior players have been kept out of the team so we don't have to pay them as much, and I thought this was just a vicious rumour put about by the anti Lowe brigade. They have been proved to be right and I have been a naive.
  5. If we now go and get yet another teenage midfielder on loan I will personally take up stamp collecting !!!!!!! Rupert Lowe now owes it to his customers to set out his plan for the rest of the season. I am talking about business plan, staff and strategy. I want to know his plan for the next three years so as I can decide where to place my business and loyalties. My patience is stretched to the limit and am thinking of taking a look at Eastleigh !!!
  6. I'm now sick of it too. I was a Lowe supporter but this one beggars belief - I am thoroughly sick of his meddling and yes I say it again I have supported him. This is just sh--e. We continue to ship in hundreds of of average teenagers and free transfer average park players on loan and pay for this folly by the most amazing crappy strategy of selling our most reliable goal scorer and contributor to the team. So Lowe really is running the team and Portaloo really is a puppet!!!!!!!!!!!!! If EVER there was a week where we proved we need the experienced players this was it and we make THE MOST BIZARRE decision I can possibly imagine. This really is utter cr-p. I am disgusted. I actually really do believe Lowe has completely lost it now. Do we actually have one player now who has scored more than 5 goals in a season in our whole squad ??????????????????????????????????????????? (In the first team !!!!!!!) We all know some have scored a few in the reserves! Don't get me wrong I love the youngsters but for God's sake this is now a fantasy Lowe is living out - am I dreaming???????????????
  7. Portaloo is going round and round in circles. It really is not working. Now we are going back round to the Jake Thomson circle it's rediculous. Same two full backs that are not working same McGoldrick not working. I really think he is not showing us that he is capable of anything but being a one trick pony. Tighten up the bloody defense man !!!!!! STOP BUYING/ LOANING MIDFIELDERS, ATTACKERS and get some defenders in - Hello !!! And tell Davis to come for crosses !!!!!!!!! it's so bloody obvious to everyone, we are week in defense SORT IT OUT
  8. Just how many times do we have to play Thompson to understand he is way off the pace for this division ??????? As for McGoldrick - ditto
  9. 100% correct !!!!!!!
  10. I think you missed the point Nick which is to reduce the price to everyone..... No one is suggesting taking away the right to buy a season ticket - not at all but according to the club, right now it is strangling us from reacting to market forces because season tickets were overpriced in the first place probably. However it does beggar the question why people buy season tickets when the ground is half full ? The thing is the club could even consider a business plane to fill the ground and refund some money to season ticket holders or discount the overpayment on a season ticket next year ...........What is required is bright innovative ideas to fullfill the very important over riding need to fill the ground............ There seems to be no ideas coming from the club at all !!!!! We know about the players, the team building, the lack of money, the patience etc etc etc but lets see positive initiatives to bring people in. Remember initiatives to increase the crowd size only need to break even, the benefit is in the team confidence and customer enjoyment which is - like any business perpetual. Personally I couldn't believe how negative the thinking was to shut the corners of the ground. This sends out entirely the wrong message i.e that the business is in decline it also displaces loyal customers but address the root cause/problem more punters needed!
  11. Would certainly agree with this, £18.00 is about right for the product for an adult but make it much less for students and kids.
  12. This Lucker guy at SMS is honestly not bright enough to manage ticket sales. We don't go along any more on the spur of the moment for evening cup games as there is never enough staff on to sell tickets. You get in the ground at half time if you're lucky and to pay for half a game will not entice me to attend as much as I would love to. (I can't buy in advance as work a long way from home and don't know if I will manage to be there). What Lucker said in the Echo was that selling season tickets is actually holding us back from getting many more supporters in as the club are worried about upsetting season ticket holders by discounting. What utter rubbish this is, it's 5 year old stuff. Do they know at the ticket office why people buy season tickets ?????????????????????? NO THEY DON'T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In fact why do they buy? Ok there is a discount for buying all year and you get your guaranteed seat next to friends and family etc. Ok on the discount issue this is only an advantage IF you can attend just about every match and as most people would end up missing a game or two throughout a season the discount reason is minimal. So this brings us to either support of the club - with money paid in advance or sitting next to friends etc !!!!!!!! Maybe there is a reason I have not listed? We need bums on seats and noise. Results are mediocre the team is building and customers are thin on the ground. However, WE have apparently precluded ourselves from attracting more support because we have sold season tickets rendering us totally incapacitated to react to market forces. Good business ????????????? no bloody poor business. Before you make mindless statements Mr Ticket Sales expert find out why people buy season tickets and then plan your sales to fill the ground. In other words think backwards !!!!!!! The most fundamental advantage you can gain at home is a large partisan crowd - the 12th man. The club are guilty of not drumming up support, they are not out there making noise in the community - the marketing is p ss poor, the awareness of their customers is non existant, it's often impossible to buy tickets on line or at the ground! The place is less than half full and this makes the overall experience less enjoyable. This resignation from the club to accept the status quo is mind blowingly amateur.................... God you even have to pay to be a member - bloody HELP, WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON with this so called business !!!!!
  13. Cole is very over rated and yes Bridgy is a better player that's one reason he got booed - he's not actually that good!

Congratulations Scooby a well written and thoughtful message. The lunatics on here who claim to be supporters really are not anything of the sort. No true supporter would say they wish the club would go into administration. The consequences of this nightmare scenario would be the same as Luton and Bournemouth - Any person who wishes that on a club is by deffinition someone who wishes the worst for them!!!!!!!!!!

What an apt name -'Lunatic' How bitter you are and in no way are you a Southampton fan.
  16. Exactly !!!!! Well done BWP too the best we have seen from him for .........errrrrr a long time!!!
  17. TBF at least two of the goals were Mills fault - which game did you watch?????? The cross for the header he was actually marking his man but let him attack the ball and I think it was the fourth he was totally out of position, He is drawn to the ball and leaves his zone totally unprotected. Sorry but endeavour is not enough both full backs are no where near good enough.
  18. This message is just such utter nonsense. We were utter rubbish last year and the year before etc. The football we are playing now is real football with 100% effort and not a small amount of skill. What do you want Mr Bitter and twisted - what we had last year - a team of over rated over paid 'experienced' has beens or some very entertaining skillful football which is a joy to watch??????? High value transfers do not automatically mean promotion. Drop your bitterness and go along and support your team. Even if you don't agree with RL, forgiveness cleanses the soul and you feel so much better as a person for dropping the heavy weight of blame which you carry to no ones benefit least of all the team you 'claim' to support! Drop your misplaced principles and come and enjoy your team again - you might just enjoy yourself!
  19. For Christ sake we conceded three WITH Svensson in the team in midweek. HE IS NOT FIT ENOUGH OR SAD TO SAY GOOD ENOUGH NOW - WAY OFF THE PACE!
  20. God such a lack of reaction to tonight! People really do seem to be loosing interest ........
  21. Mark Dennis is so bigoted that he has lost all rationality. I too am sick of his anti Lowe rhetoric it is so out of touch, uninformed, bias and irrelevant. I am totally bored with hearing it and will shortly stop listening and change back to boring Merrington - also a Lowe hater I seem to recollect. Please can Hampshire Radio take Dennis off and have people on with balanced opinions and a more intellectual outlook. Flash talks quite a lot of sense where is he????
  22. Crowds win games period. I quote the last game of last season, yes the players were there but they were motivated by the crowd who made so made all the difference. These players need that too. a quiet stadium does not motivate the players. There is a credit sqeeze (is that a modern term for recession?) We should fill the stadium and do what ever it takes to fulfill this basic need. Reduce prices and get people in. I read on here time and time again it's cost that's keeping people away. Results do matter but £50 for two us to go is too much money. More than ever we need bums on seats this will trasmit into points and atmosphere encouraging the team and even more people to come along. Sales is directly linked to supply and demand. Reduce the price - dramatically get customers flowing then increase the price to adjust fitting your capacity. If you're not making money tailor your costs accordingly. In this business people come for the match day experience as well as the football - no atmosphere = no experience and no motivation for the team!
  23. Either Dyer is pretty poor or the coaches are!!!!!! I would like to ask the question which it is, or is it both. Looking at the coaches - yes we are playing attractive football almost every game for half an hour and then that's us bushed! We get bossed after that. We are not defensively minded enough, we are not squeezing the pitch, our midfield is to advanced time and time again - how many times before a coach realises that we need a player or even two to 'sit'. It is evident that Gillett will not make it at this level too which is not helping. His successfull pass rate is very poor and to be fair always has been having watched him many times playing for the reserves it's very familiar. I ask how it is that this has not been coached out of him over such a long period? Evidence is starting to emerge that coaching is lacking. Attention to detail is just not not being focused on. It is critical to be certain that every player is coached and that positional play is adhered to. We are now short on the left with Holmes injured so it's time move Surman up to midfield and bring some experience into the left back position with Skacel, this is the obvious time to revert to this combination. Whilst I love this style of football if it's not totally organised and cant last more than 30 minutes then management/coaching should start to take some blame..........
  24. This point is well made. Our defense is far too exposed. Jan has to get a grip on this. I like the fella and his passing football however if he doesn't concentrate on defense first we will ship at least two goals every game. We look like conceding every single time the opposition attack.......
  25. Sadly he really is not quite up to it.
