  1. For Christ sake how can you say give AP two years. So if that were for instance two years without a win that's ok is it? I am perplexed by the number of number of happy clappies on here at the moment. Yes give him time but don't bury your head in the sand!
  2. Faith - blind faith with such poor performances - is that wise?
  3. Actually, on reflection I really don't think AP will make it. Yes as he has said his string point is reginising a good player - though his persistance with Wotton was bewildering. However his tactics are well short of the required standard for this club. I really do think he ain't gonna make it. Yes another three games would be fair if things are not sorted by then - which they won't be tactically, then that's long enough- he is so far away from getting things right that persistance will be by then futile!
  4. +1 - time for him to deliver. I wouldn't worry if our team had a tactical strategy and cohesive method of play but we don't..................It's so obvious we are playing with a narrow midfield tactic and we are crying out to get those wide midfielders WIDE but AP does nothing about it!
  5. FFS - It's nothing to do with personnel it's everything to do with tactics. We are are totally disorganised and are hoofing it all the time. Don't tell me that is not AP's strategy - it obviously is. It's boring non productive rubbish no other way to describe it. It's nothing to do with who plays the result is exactly the same who ever plays - haven't you noticed!
  6. You mean £6m for one player who doesn't want to play for us in exchange for another - not as good who doesn't want to play for us! If you are weak in your reaction to transfer requests you will encourage the perpatrator to persist in his selfish wishes - he smelt blood in other words and RL as we all know was a selling chairman. Eventually this strategy took us down. Our current managment/owners appear far more resiliant ,unless it suites them to sell which it did with Rasiak by the looks of it. By the way, because you disagree with my opinion I would not throw cheap jibes at you by saying your arguments are 'silly'. Keep to the argument and resist the tempataion to condemn people for their opinion.
  7. If someone said to you here's £6m in return for your relegation is that too good to turn down ?
  8. Wait a minute - the reason we are loosing so many games is the songs we sing??????????????????????????????? ffs that's beyond a joke - isn't it..............
  9. Spending is not a strategy on it's own, unless you want to go bust again! It's about precisely the opposite of your theory actually i.e. management and careful transfers of people who are actually better than what we have. By and large our transfers in so far have been precisely that. Don't forget we do actually have a few very decent players on our books already. Lets think management, tactics and familiarity now......
  10. Ahh so AP did play a system - sorry I'm a bit thick - what was it?
  11. How could you leave Paul Wotton out ??? An outragous oversight!!!
  12. Forgive me but..............Didn't we concede a lot of set piece goals last season - a hell of a lot and wasn't he playing in many of those particular games? I'm not sure he is 'the answer' some are craving about........
  13. Great summing up. Pardew doesn't seem to be picking up on the problems at all. It is he who is insisting on playing so narrow, he who is playing no natural wingers, he who is telling the players to hoof it, he who is picking Wotten. This isn't about 'time', it's about organisation, tactics and the correct guys picked. None of which Pardew is managing!
  14. Spot on call. This guy is dangerous.....
  15. But all the evidence suggests Pardew doesn't want to play wide at all!!!!! Everyone is crowded into the centre third of the pitch!
  16. Yes but not quite as ludicrous as giving him five years if things don't improve !! A very far fetched statement!
  17. Christ it was Swindon not blinkin Chelsea. We should be more worried about our game which we haven't yet planned once from what I've seen before we start worrying about Swindon!! Sounded too much like an excuse for my liking!!!
  18. We have enough with the players we have to be performing much better than this. Yes we need a centre back or two etc but the team selection and tactics are the major reason for our total lack of controled football. At least under Portaloo we played good football but couldn't afford the probably a couple of players including centre back. Currently our football is none existant with several new players. It's largely down to no organisation, poor team selection, and no tactics at all. .........Management !
  19. Thats because Holmes can see that Pardew will not play wide men - that's just one of his many faults. I'm not joking when I say he is looking incompetant Pardew that is.....
  20. Not sure agree with your team entirely but the words are very accurate. People are saying its all the players but there is not a single sign of tactics unless you call hoofing it tactics. No direction and no pattern of play which to me points to the manager!!!!
  21. Agree - Pardew does not have it - not even close - not remotely!
  22. Bless you..............
  23. I'm sorry but Pardew has a lot to aswer for over this, if he can't even see Wotton is absolute C ap what hope have we got for his none existant tactics! Yes that's negative I know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  24. Dave Parker is my suggestion. Aggresive skillful player, can pick a pass, tackle and is now very fit. Currently playing for the Roll Call but would be interested for the right money! The fee would be modest (very) and wages would be less than 1k a week! He's the right age, mature, and a great motivator. Dave can also wave his arms in the air with great aplom. Just a thought!
