  1. What a shame you felt the need to post that!
  2. Your comments are completely over the top and bias. Every single paper in the UK prints rumours. If you want facts only read an encyclopedia. God almighty if you support Cortese that much and believe every single thing he says you are - to be blunt daft. People buy papers that major on sport for the rumours and hearsay - that's what I and millions of others buy the papers for. Stop defending Cortese on this - he is very capable of looking after himself and making a mess of it! If you want sensored press go to North Korea. The witch hunt on the Echo is misguided - get over it!
  3. I'm very sorry but I don't agree with tethering the Echo reporting to what Mr Cortese wants. Even Lowe didn't try to do this and the Echo virtually put every log they they had on the fire to stoke up anti Lowe rhetoric. The new owners are doing some great things for the club but the anti Echo stance is not one of them. Is sensoring the press really ever a good thing - no, very rarely.... One other thing about the new owners, the corporate facilities are nothing short of dreadful. Plastic glasses for an evening event I recently attended there - quite unbelievable - apparently they deem it too dangerous to give people glasses in the Le Tissier suite......... Soooo.......Good stuff on the pitch but other things ........not particularly good at all!
  4. This is sarcasm - right?????????????????
  5. No Strong opinions on the subject then !!!
  6. Tooooooo much sentiment.............not enough substance. We are a side with very high standards and ambitions now. Surman is often off the pace and prone to day dreaming. If he can't find a place in the Wolves team - which was expected when he left, then finding a place in our team now would be just as hard.
  7. One of our huge problems with starting slowly as we do every season is we play a very poor quality amatuer opposition every year. Part time Swedish Lumberjacks just do not cut it as proper preparation for a season and don't tell me it's all about fitness!!!!
  8. Cough cough on the tactical analysis !!!!!!!
  9. This is not easy. I am not one of AP's biggest fans but Mark Hughes does not fill me with confidence for sure. 26 games not won in a season is quite a lot in consideration of his armery. However also what will not of escaped the owners notice is Saints lack of tactical superiority and cultured football. We have won many games despite our tactics not because of. I would have given AP a little more time on balance but more in hope than expectation that he could carry it off.
  10. Pure class
  11. Alan.pardew@yahoo.com - keep it to your self - it's a secret! AP has tactics all boxed off - literally box to box - the centre circle is only used for kick offs .....
  12. Paul Wotton for me, if only for his passing ability............and vision..........
  13. I really am worried about loosing him. He is a player who can turn a game that we are struggling in and there have beeen quite a few games where we have needed individual skill to rescue us. Players of his quality are actually few and far between. Added to that I would pay my money more to watch him than anyone else - just a personal preference......! £5m nowhere near enough........
  14. I was very surprised too. I know that's all.....
  15. Lets just say very reliable............
  16. Have heard that several players were up late last night..............................................................
  17. Ooooooww Rose tinted glases........Lets count how many times KD kicks it long and how many times he throws it short to build from the back! Pick any game you like - I don't mind... As I said - it may effective sometimes but in my opinion will not be a style of football that gets us to the Premiership. I am also beginning to have doubts that it will get us out of this league too....... A manager at this club with this money, these players and this ambition should be thinking in terms on a more cohesive style of football - in my opinion.
  18. Wait a mo.........'He'll alientate supporters if he were to get rid of Pardew...........That's bit rich - If it wasn't for Cortese we would have no club at all - he chose Pardew and he has every right to decide if he wants to replace him - do give him credit where it's due. He was the one who brought SFC to Liebres attention in the first place. Without Cortese no team and no chance of promotion and probably no ground even. I think to threaten him with alienation is rather arrogant to say the least. Lets trust the guy to do what's best and not suffer from short memories over who saved the club and his wise decisions so far......
  19. Are you saying our performances are consistant? It's not a question of playing the way I like. It's a question of getting to the Premiership. I'm very glad for you that you believe everything you read in the press too....
  20. Well you must watch a different team then mate. We have had a measure of success this year but without doubt the football has been long and hopeful, this is undeniable. If you disagree I'm afraid you really are the one talking 'crap' !! I admit that this type football can be affective sometimes. However only up to a point and with this squad we should be playing much more constructive football if we are to reach high standards with some consistency and gain promotion at some point. I don't have anything against Pardew but our pattern of play is now very much entrenched - Play with no width and hit it longggggggg - give it to Wotton or Davis and they have one simple instruction...I'm sorry but these are facts - not 'crap' or 'garbage' as you articulate so sure of your self. It might be a fantastic policy but I'm seriously in doubt that this pattern will see us regain Premiership status - which I thought was the aim.....
  21. I did say exactly what 'He' is doing right - 'He' can spot a decent player but 'He' can't organise a team - the football is not far short of school boy stuff most of the time. The fact Harding had good game at Wembley is a complete red herring I'm afraid......so what....Several players played well at Wembley. The problem is we persist in playing hit and hope narrow football when we have the players to be playing measured, thought out, planned, expansive football and I have yet to see it excepting the odd few minutes here and there when the players manage to put this together despite the managers instructions which consist of hit it long to Lambert.
  22. Agree......AP was totally illogical in that statement. Too many excuses all the time for me. We have struggled against teamd with handfull of support and resource all year because tactically AP can't cut it!
  23. We are woeful tactically and have been most of the season. Even at Wembley our football was very average. Pardew has not got it. He is not interested in getting us to pass - it's hoof hoof all the time and then it's relying on a lucky bounce off Lambert or their defender. The Pardew tactics mean we are always going to be inconsistant. We have some very good players who are seeing us through most games despite Pardew. This Pardew thing is never going to work, it relies too heavily on good fortune and a poor opposition. There is no way that we should be bossed by so many teams who have no resources what so ever. I've said it before - we will not go up with AP at the helm! (He would be a great talent scout though)!!
  24. The acoustics were the problem. You hear the crowd singing 30 yds away it's really strange.... Worst thing about Wembley and I should say it's a fantastic place. The toilet facilities are woefully short of the number required feeding into them. I, along with hundreds of others missed the third goal because Wembley can't work out how many toilets they need !!!!! Pretty basic stuff - the architects must be total idiots........
