We pay his wages - his form and effort have been below the standard expected. I pay my money and if he's standing there like a lemon as he very often has this year he deserves to be shouted at to make more effort - same goes for any of them actually. The opposite is also true for players pulling their weight. Entirely logical.........

Spiderman Puncheon Wotton

Really do not agree with you on that post. Punch has been poor this year - flatters to deceive and has contributed very little that actually affects a game. He also day dreams - standing still when team mates are looking for movement from him.......I've watched him closely this year and he's not good enough for our level....Millwall are very welcome to him - we can get better players in than that...........
-
You can have an opinion but if it differs to someone else please resist the tempation to state they are stupid......

spiderman is not good enough - end of...........
-
Why did we sign him? Couldn't even pass the biscuits.....Seemed a nice guy but honestly quite hopeless......
-
Ridiculous thread comparing chalk with cheese!.............
-
Listen, Gooly was pretty carp against Tranmere just a couple of reasonable touches the whole game - the rest he was a liability....
-
Too true and Bradley is better than his brother at it!
-
Give Puncheon a rest - a very long one ! Can I suggest a week's break on a trawler at Iceland this should make him more focused cos God he needs to be!
-
Agree with this. Schneiderlin has not improved enough - there's not enough to his game...
-
Haven't seen Puncheon play well well yet at home - watch him closely - he day dreams and doesn't hurt the opposition...
-
Well spotted.........that's why he is better than Spiderman !

Not too much controversy here today..... Good win on paper - however we are struggling for quite long periods in recent games..... Two players in particular worry me - MS and JP. For me both have been quite a long way short of the quality needed for this team. JS is to be seen staring into space on many occasions. His speed of thought is just too slow for this team, his shooting is poor, his assists - has he had any? and his meaningful contribution is errrrr meaningless and no goals !!! Does he deserve to be playing in the same team as Adam Lallana? No, he doesn't, so stop wasting time and drop him - he will not make it - not ever... MS .......Just doesn't make runs that hurt the opposition - 'Mr Safety'. Can be delicate and fancy but overall again doesn't contribute enough that is meaningful. These two cause us a headache...... -
Disagree with all that !!!!!!!!! He was very below average for us and taking us nowhere!
-
Who are you calling a dinlo ? Puncheon flatters to deceive. He will not score as long as he has a hole in his rectum. He is slow in thought, little pace and can't shoot, he goes past a player and then duly hasn't a clue what to do next. His head is often looking at the ground when he should be seeking his decision on what to do next with head up. Consistently not good enough.................

Yes a very cold night at Staplewood Saints Res v Ipswich Res he should have been playing for the first team by then, was several classes above ...

Gully was not immense against the mighty Tranmere. He was very average to poor. People get carried away by one or two movements and an overall good display. Me and the guy sat next to me both agreed Gully was really nothing special at all against Tranmere. Two passes do not make a magic performance. His movement for the first goal was his only movement of the half.......No comparrison with Antonio or Papa I'm afraid. Chaplow was really classy though and was our engine room. I wasn't at Hudderfield but many people have marked him as our MOTM again. Maybe it's time for 451. It would siute the Adkins style and our wealth of midfield decent players......
-
Yes, well put.........
-
Very good point. Both these too were very over rated by most at the Tranmere game. Guly was not that good and Punch was no different to every other game this year. Today weaknesses were exposed but there again so were tactical weaknesses. The tactics employed by NA are great but mixing it is important if teams are pushing up against us.

How on earth can you link Corteses comments to lack of honesty. How does Cortese lose when he sacked him? Adkins "looks ok" If anyone is not being honest it's you! The football we are playing under Adkins is almost exactly one million miles away from the park football Pardew had us playing. Cortese has done Pardew a favour by being economical with his statement on his sacking. The comments I am hearing and reading from the players now always leave one with an underlying lean towards a dissatisfaction with the Pardew compared to their stated happiness with the status now.

I don't think you are watching Lambert closely enough. He is doing a lot of work coming deep collecting and linking play. You should watch what he does without the ball too. Lambert doesn't too many runs but his skills lie in different areas....
