Bit akward to get at but not impossible, dont just look at it and assume its OK, both times I have done mine I've not been able to see the split till I got it off. Think there about thirty quid.

Do you get lots of black smoke when you accelerate? I have an 04 2.0 tdci and have had similar problems each time it was a split in the intercooler hose.
