Fair point. I think Semi has been a better option than an out of postion Harding (altough he did well their IMO), Thomas or Lloyd James. Semi is only contracted untill the end of the season and I wouldn't be surprised (or upset) if we got on a new rightback. I think Seabourne will get better, he is quicker and better with his feet than Jiadi IMO, I wouldn't mind Trotman coming back to be honest. I'm more worried about our lack of quaility CM cover than anything else we need some better options from the bench for CM I think.

Prehaps last night they where. By all accounts Puncheon was brillant last night however every time I've seen him he has been terrible. Semi was pretty awful against Orient but great against Norwhich (so I'm told). Not all players play well every game.

If we don't make the playoffs and anyone dares diss Mr Pardew...

Lets hope those championship teams don't come looking for them in the summer then. I don't think it's likely, but next years team could look very different from this years if we don't go up. So how long do we give AP if he has to re-build half the team again in the summer? What if there is no Lallanna, Fonte, Lambert and Wagio next season? -
Didn't pardew say in an interview back before christmas that formations aren't that important it's more about the quaility of the players? Personally I think we play better in 4-4-2. I don't care if it's old fashioned it's the English way god damn it;)

Brillant display. Well done to Morgan for finally getting that goal. Good revenge for the st Marys game as well. As I firmly believe the play offs aren't going to happen and have done for ages I can just enjoy the result with worrying about other results. (Of course if we do reach the play offs I'll be very happy.)

Only as a second half sub and playing up front instead of the wing. I'd rather have him playing in the place of Puncheon not as well as Puncheon. If Barnard comes off I'd rather he was replaced with Papa. Still we won and got the three points so AP got it right. -

Excepet yesterday when without him the team would have lost:( -
Even the chapel started a couple of songs with some prompting from the Northam. Sadly the old dear next to me wasn't so keen and had to put her hands over here ears when it got a bit to loud. Mind you between the sing she was effing and blinding like a ****ing trooper. Is not often you get to hear some women in her seventies shouting "for ****s sake saints play it on the deck":smt107

Barnard was huffing and puffing a lot but I don't remember him having a shot at goal today. Antonio at least managed a couple when he came on. Having said that I prefer Antonio on the wing as a replacement for Puncheon and Papa as a replacement for Barnard. Lambert was marked out of the game today if you listen to the Orient (assistant manager) on the BBC he said they where looking to nulify our main threat in Lambert which they did rather well. Sadly for them it left Lallanna with a bit of space to score from. The corners thing is a fair point. We have some pace so leaving one quick player up to break makes sense. I think puncheon did it once in the second half but he was brought down by a rather cynical tackle before he could do much with it. -
Yeah it was good. Best bit was some guy at half time won a saints greatest fan competition. First prize was an all expense paid night out on the lash with the first team and the girls from Tusk. All the guy had to do was reach the centre circle in five minitues. I didn't get his full name Stu something from North Baddesley. Sadly it seems he decide not to come to the match today.......

Oldham Athletic... The key to our season...
doddisalegend replied to Saintmike666's topic in The Saints
I'm not sure. Some Charlton fans seem to think they've managed results despite their teams performances. So far we've drawn and beaten them this season we're a stronger team now so who knows. We will have to play better than today though. -

Hardly the sort to get excited about as they were all about ten. Now if we could get NC to sort this out it really would brighten up half time. http://www.dallascowboyscheerleaders.com/showgroup/showgr.cfm -
How close where they? Maybe AP mis-heard them maybe he thought they said Oh Alan Shut the **** up you tit instead of Hey Alan shake it up a bit

Pardews post match interview was pretty good. Admits we didn't play well. Pretty much agree with everything he said apart from the bit about Puncheon having a good game. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_2/8598508.stm -

One of their biggest threats I'd say. Quite a few of Orients chances came from dead ball stuff which might say something about the match today (not sure what though) -
Aren't Watford near admin? if we could have as many teams start on -10 as possible it might help. So Watford and Crystal palace and Posh I suppose.

Was anyone else impressed by Orients long throw ins? I don't know which player it was but he must be league ones version of Delap. Normally punting it out for a throw in is a safe bet for a defender under pressure but in this case it just gave Orient more chances to get it in the box. -

No we weren't great today **** might be a bit harsh but below par for sure. Actually I think we will player better against Charlton. I might be the only one but I think our team prefer the bigger games they seem to relish the tougher ones. At the moment Charlton have failed to beat us this season twice so we will see. -

No reason to get upset today though. To quote you from the build up thread +1. Couldnt give a sh*t about the score or manner of performance. -

In one crner in the second half he had three Orient players marking him he was surronded. Our side still punted it straight at him though](*,)
