  1. has that been proved then?
  2. Not If no one had explained it to them no.
  3. Didn't do John Terry any harm did it, if it's true football is a results game managers and plays don't get sacked for screwing around, also it still doesn't explain why the players played very well until AP is sacked and then play badly, surely it would have been the other way around?
  4. Bristol Rovers ?
  5. I'm excepecting us to get stuffed or if we're lucky a 0-0 draw at the moment all the **** of the pitch has kind of killed my enthusiasm for the season. What ever's going on behind the scences seems to be affecting the team if tuesday night is anything to go by and I can't see that changing until a new manager is in and the players are settled again.
  6. I doubt it. If someone had been assualted the accused would have been relived of duty with immediate effect until an investagation had taken place. If this incident was as bad as made out surely AP and the others would have been put on immediate gardening leave. If the effect on the team was so awful why let him continue managing for 3 more matches? doesn't make any sense.
  7. Surely the players would be smart enough to know that the fans don't have a ****ing clue why AP was sacked.
  8. There you go what? Unless the club come out and verify this it's just one more rumour. If this was the case the club should have just come out with a statement saying AP has been sacked for gross misconduct following a trainning ground incident. Instead we end up with a situation where rumours are flying around all over the place the press are having a field day at the clubs expense and the fans are ****ed off cuase they think the sacking is unjustified. Also it didn't effect the players at Bristol Rovers, Orient or Bolton games even though this alleged incident took place before the Orient game yet it effected them big time last night it would seem.
  9. I was under the impression the club is supposed to be self funding and living within our means. I don't believe we have unlimited pots of money that some believe.
  10. Surely we should get out of league one first before spending loads of money on devolopment. The devolpment route (which is not a bad thing in my view) will take years to come to anything and we are supposed to be on a tight timetable.
  11. Ahhh the wide sweeping generalisation thread, it's so easy to pigeon hole 30-40K of people in one sweeping statement. Luckily if this thread is anything to go by most saints fans are very intelligent super paitent types so NC has nothing to worry about.
  12. What like a manager? I wonder if you were of the same opinion during the dutch experiment or the sir clive debacle under Lowe. We have a lot to thank NC for but he can't live off the "I saved your club" goodwill forever.
  13. Hahaha you were doing so well up to that point..........................
  14. So how should those fans upset at this turn of events make themselves heard? or should fans just shut up and take it? general I dis-like booing and jeering the players/team but showing support for a manager that was popular and seems undeserved of a sacking by a good portion of the fan base doesn't bother me at all. Now if there was a good reason for the sacking people might be more accepting but the moment it seems to be becuase AP upset the tea lady at staplewood or some such in which case people have the right to be ****ed about it.
  15. Really oh dear so basically we ****ed up another season becuase some people at the club had axes to grind with each other?
  16. This BBC aticle made me think the same thing http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/paulfletcher/2010/08/pardew_sacking_at_saints_raise.html#248300 looks like AP tried to retain control of the first team and got the boot for it. Not to many managers are going to want to be in that postion no doubt the new guy will be called head coach instead of manager.
  17. WTF whats it got to do with the chairman? The manager should pick the team not the ****ing chairman. Explains a lot about tonights team if true.
  18. What Martins or Pardews?
  19. I reckon it was the latter TBH
  20. Why? They were brought in by one man. A man they clearly respected and who judging on tonights performace got a lot more out of them the some others can. It's not like some massively unpopular manager who they couln't get along with has been sacked. He rescused some from obscurtiy like Harding and Connolloy and the others clearly respected him and felt he got the best from them like Lambert and Lallana . I imagine we will see quite a few transfer requests come january.
  21. I love it the guys been sacked and you still want to blame him hahahahahaha b o l l o c k s. Last saturday was APs team playing APs way and that was good enough for me. We've played well in every match this season tonight was something else a bunch of players who have clearly been playing for for AP, tonight weren't and it showed.
  22. Well this sucks I go away for nice overnighter to Cardiff with the wife and Kids come back to find AP sacked and saints getting the **** kicked out of them by Swindon yet again and no signings. Listening to it on the radio seems like the players are reacting to APs demise and not in a good way. The team we have out there were basically all APs players without him the future of this team doesn't look hopeful. I've had a great deal of my enthusiasm and hope for this season kicked out of me in one evening. The JPT was a big ****ing deal to me and I was hoping we might make some attempt to defend the trophy so I'm ****ed about that. I'm quite ready for a year of consolidation in league one again this year and try again next year. Why didn't NC have the balls to remove AP at the end of last season rather than four games in and a closed transfer window later of this season? the whole thing is ********.
  23. Last season I believe we recorded the highest ever number of goals scored in the final of the JPT, so adding the only team to win it twice in a row would be nice too.
  24. It should be remembered that the JPT has strict rules about fielding understrength teams so even if the club wished to play the devolopment squad they can't. Also when ever people want us to play a weakened side I feel sorry for the fans who have payed good money to see our team play its hardly fair on them.
  25. Well maybe we will balls the season up and you can have another slice of stay up fever, given the choice I'd rather win the JPT.
