I reckon we can rule out Dales Keith Hill following this quote after saturdays game. The reasons for Pardew's departure remain unclear, but Hill believes Cortese's motives need to be examined. He said in The Sun: "I think there are a lot of chairmen who want to be football managers, and if that is the case they should make themselves the manager."

Sorry the club told us why they sacked AP in their press release or are you suggesting the club lied to us? http://www.leaguemanagers.com/managers/mpl-league.html?seasonid=140&type=Season+Total&x=20&y=10 the link again I'm not manipulating any facts at all. All managers are grade by the football league managers assocation on games won and drawn the more games you win the higher up the table you are Pardew finished 9th out all managers in all four divisions no lies no massaging the facts. There's no point going on about level playing fields there is no such thing in football never has been.

Funnily enough a lot of people seem to have ignored this fact, if people admit AP might of actually being doing a decent job they might have to admit NC might have made a mistake.
-
I wonder who the prem manager alluded to in the article is?

We will have to agree to differ, for me watching the club win a trophy (any trophy) was more important than scrapping into the play offs and possibaly losing. The big clubs (and thats what we aspire to be) are more than capable of winning a cup and doing well in the league so should we al this one or the other is a bit silly. Blaming the JPT for not getting into the play offs is fine in hindsight but no one could predict at the time what effect it would have.

Fair assessment IMO won't go down well on here with some though.
-
yep I remember the look of pure disgust Markus had at Wembley when we won.

Most of the **** on on here about AP is either opinion or rumour. Here in black and white is one stat that can't be disproved Alan pardew was the ninth best performing mananager in all four leagues last season http://www.leaguemanagers.com/manage...otal&x=20&y=11 he got that stat by winning matches whether you liked/dis-liked the way he looked his teams playing style or his love of wags are irrelevant he got results and was one of the 10 top managers in England last season on that basis I'd have backed him to get us promoted this season. You can argue he had loads of cash resources it doesn't matter he would have had the same resources this year and no one claims sir Alex is **** becuase Man U have loads of money. If you want a better manager look at the list there are eight options above him. At the end of the day you want a manager who gets more good results than bad and AP was that. It's over now done I'll support the next manager when he comes (well as long as it's not Wilkins or Reed) but my opinion is we could have shot ourselves in the foot this season only time will tell.
-
That would be the same for every team in the country wouldn't it? all teams look better with there best players playing any team that suffers a rash of injuries/suspensions of their best players is going to look poorer for it. Not many if any teams have the resources to put two first class teams out.
-
Then we get to run a bit further before being mugged by some big boy who wants our new pair of Nike F**king Sh*t-Hot Airs for him self.

At the risk that smirking saint will have another fantasy about my **** and APs arse. I will post one last time. Most of the **** on on here about AP is either opinion or rumour. Have you applied for the Job yet? I'm sure you could get saints playing the right way.................. as long as you can work in harmony with the devolopment squad
-
Could be that Lambert is basing his current playing style on Torres at the world cup.................
-
Did they? what the f u c k were they smoking? wouldn't mind that Defoe bloke at saints though think he might be useful backup for Barnard.

YOU CAN STOP IT NOW CORTESE..pick up the phone
doddisalegend replied to patred44's topic in The Saints
Well looking at his record he does have a bit of history of falling out with chairman, but our chairman is a lovely bloke so there shouldn't be a problem. -
Yeah mind starts his league today, nice distraction from saints.
-
Well at least you're to big a man to point stuff like that out good on you.

Wilkins 'admits' management failure to make signings
doddisalegend replied to Professor's topic in The Saints
Ooohhh tetchy. Wasn't good enough laughable. You can tell when some one feels their arguement is under threat when they resort to personal attacks. The fact is according to the football league managers table for last season AP finished 9th best manager out of all four leagues so not the best manager in the country but a hell of a lot better than you'd like to make out becuase it helps you cope with the fact our club may have ****ed up again. http://www.leaguemanagers.com/managers/mpl-league.html?seasonid=140&type=Season+Total&x=20&y=11 you can try to re-write history if you like smirking but it's there in black and white. -
this ^^^^

LOL how much is NC paying you for your spin doctoring.
-
No he can't be that good he was subbed for mills yesterday............... Actually thought he was our best player on the pitch yesterday along with Martin.
-
Sorry can't agree with that there was a lot more to saints than hoof it to Lambert last season, secondly even if we did play that way at trimes (and we did) there was nothing wrong with it if you have the sort of players who can take advantage of the scraps sadly to of those players were let go at the end of last season, andthe other too were unavaliable to play yesterday. The re-writing of history turnning AP into some sort of **** manager would be quite funny if it weren't so sad

Well only one major thing has changed in the last seven days but people keep telling me it's got nothing to do with that.
