Page six of the Pink today has a league one shooting table, Lambert has had the second most shots in league one this season with 9 on target,11 off target and 1 on the wood work. So its not like rickie isn't trying damn hard to score. If keeps shooting things will go for him soon I'm sure.

not strictly true we have................................ http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/ProfilesDetail/0,,10280~47722,00.html Not that I know much about him. Surely though if he is touted as a first teamer and a striker he should be able to step up as short term cover ?
-
uummmmmmmmmm what? thats pretty much the attitude we had during our days in the prem.
-
Rocdale game we had 22 attempts on goal to their 6 http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/MatchReport/0,,10280~52805,00.html colchester 16 attempts on goal to their 6 http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/MatchReport/0,,10280~52908,00.html Away from home (Swindon and Dons) I'll concede we've had less chances but still as many as the home team in both games. To me that points to a lack of finishing not a lack of chances.

Really? On saturday at one point Lambert broke free of the colchester defence. Last season he would have buried the chance on saturday he looked like he didn't know what to do with it. In almost every game this season we've had more shots on/off target than the opposition and failed to score. We're creating chances but were not taking them not sure thats a midfield problem.
-
He looked good when he came on give him a chance I say we can't do much worse than we've been doing and we need to try something different. Puncheon might make quite a good impact sub instead 20mins to go I doubt to many tired defenders want to deal with a fresh puncheon running at them.

So far I've seen Rickie's deflected free kick. Last season I got about three saints goals a game on average.
-
here's the list of freebies http://www.givemefootball.com/pfa-transfer-list# Never heard of most of them looking at the stats for some of them there mostly over the hill or failed scholars. I think hoping were going to bring in loads of quaility players as loans and freebies is pie the sky. I'll be far more impressed if Nigel can get the players we already have playing well again. We know the players can play well they proved it last season. We just need someone to get the players believing in themselves again.

oh come on Butterfield is hell of a lot better than James at RB.
-
What match was he watching? Lambert the best on the pitch say what? some harsh comments in that one.
-
still gve my right nut to have a MLT in the team now though.
-
Alan's not taking into account that Lambert is better than Torres;)
-
I'm not talking about Rickies free kicks here (they haven't been great but yesterdays ones were getting better) but more our corners and wide free kicks. So often they either go clear over everyone or fail to beat the first man. Lee holmes took the first decent corners I've seen at SMS this season and even he fluffed one. We got a lot of set pieces yesterday and failed to do anything with any of them. Something for Nigel to work on trainning surely?
-
Well I enjoyed it. As I've now convinced myself we're not going up all the pressure is off, I'm just going to go to SMS watch the football and enjoy it best I can. Today was an improvement we played much better than Colchester, had some good chances. Lee holmes to start the next game I think. Does anyone know who the blonde dwarf playing for Colchester was? no word of a lie I thought they'd left the mascot on the pitch for the first five miniutes of the game, niggly little b astard who ever he was. I'm cheered up by today I think Nige will get it right and we will finish comfortably mid-table ready for a big promotion push next year:scared:

Has been playing as holding midfielder wonder if his replacement will be Lloyd James? Returning player something to prove you watch James run rings around our midfield before scoring a hatrick. It's wierd I've gone from expecting us to win every game at the end of last season to expecting to see us tonked every game them season.
-
I'm pretty sure they've been in the business long enough to know that no one could guarntee that and if they didn't they were niave.
-
I hadn't turned 2, no offence to you old timers () but for that reason the JPT actually means more to me becuase I got to see it in the flesh rather than re-runs on the TV.

Time to accept that it is unlikely we will go up

Shame wilkins couldn't though in fact he couldn't even get a 25% win ratio with lasts years team and money . Whats the difference with this years team and lasts years then same players and price? and don't tell me it's papa or antonio becuase you said they were both pretty average players. -

LOL that can't be true. Pardew was crap people have been saying that ever since he got the boot (well before if truth be told) he had no plan B, couldn't break down lesser teams, left his subs to late and only played hoofball with no width how could he possibaly have the best win ratio since 1897!| -
Yep and I wasn't one of them. I had very low expectations for last season there where plenty on here talking about being out of minus points after four matches I felt they were deluded and I was right. You still see it on here now people think "we're the might southampton" thus automatically better than all the other teams in league one most of the time they know nothing about the oppositation team other than the team name. Despite not getting to the play offs I still rate last season as one of the best becuase I got to see southampton actually win something for the trophy cabinet and I saw lots of good matches were we actually won games. Yes the start of last season was poor but I was realistic enough to expect nothing less given the circumstances. This year I expected a lot more from my club and so far haven't got it.

All football fans are like this. Just go on a few football forums. Every club has happy clappers and wrist slitters. Those the hate the manager those that don't etc we're not special just normal football fans.
-
Your right people often assume clubs in this league are good or crap based on thier name. Look at the Dons new manager and a whole load of new faces this season very different oppostion to last season. We had a strong squad last season this season not so much. Lloyd James was much more important than anyone knew;)
-
eh? bristol rovers away and bolton at home where our two best performances of the season.
-
There where rumours (only rumours mind) that the players were divided over APs depature.
-
Everyone has a reason for doing stuff even Lowe had reasons. The real question is are those reasons well thought out and based on good judgement? As for everything else god knows different people in charge same old saints. Last season was for me one of our best in years I was looking forward to this one being even better. Now I've got a sinking feeling last season will be rembered as a high point for some years to come.
