eeeehhhh? oh you mean welsh people yeah James got loads of stick last season
-
Like Wayne Rooney in the world cup got his knickers in a right twist didn't score any ****ing goals though.
-
With five goals this season his joint 3rd top scorer in the league with the likes of Hughes, Lambert and Rhodes I think he might of found his level. Although I see someone pointed this out already. BWP is a thieving **** though.
-
Ehhh?
-
They already are, at least some around me in the chapel are. Someone keeps calling him a one season wonder. I think the 13-14 goals might have been all season as he says Barney scored 20.

Different postions, different types of player. Matty could do things with the ball Bale could only dream of on the other hand just how good would Matty have been with Bales energy levels and pace. Still think Matty was better though didn't Messi say that Matty was one of his heros?

the o/s version of the interview apparently he scored 13-14 goals last season needs to find that form again http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2192119,00.html

The problem for me is Puncheon has undoubted talent but he is really frustating as well. He so often seems to take one to many touches, try to beat one oppo player to many or run into a dead end when an easy pass would be better, and his poor quaility shooting this season just isn't funny. Having said that I've never booed him and never will (or any other player in a saints shirt)and when he gets it right he can make stuff happen for the team.
-
Looks like Puncheon has noticed the booing at SMS http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/southampton/9116146.stm

Fair enough. Personally think Dickson is better playing left midfield than left back as he likes to get forward but he ain't going to replace Adam any time soon, for me Mills proved himself last season playing at LB and playing well. Dicksons not done much of anything yet the odd nice cross but not much else.
-
Fair comment but he was getting games earlier on in the season and looked really good IMO far more composed than seabourne and fitter than Jiadi. Anyone who can keep Kevin Davies in check is plenty good enough for league one I think.
-
Dickson.
-
Ahhh ok cheers quite early in the season to be getting that landmark.
-
What did I miss ? Team looks good except back four I'd rather have Martin palying alongside Fonte and I don't think butters has done much wrong to deserve being dropped is Richardson fit enough to play a full match?.
-
why would he go to under achieving, ambition lacking Man U? when he could be another member of the bloated squad of the sky blue side of Manchester earning twice as much.
-
Must have been one hell of a performance hey. Mind you this was the first win since feb so they might be getting carried away. Maybe young Pullis has found his level two games in he's scored a goal and could have been MOM thats more than he's achieved in two years with us.
-
I suppose the question is not should our third choice LB be going out on loan but who our 3rd choice LB should be?
-
Stockport won their first home match since forever last saturday apparenty Mr Pullis played quite well taken from the Stockport message board Liked the look of Pulis too, today he was how we have wanted Tansey to be all season. Man of the match could have been anyone out of: Glennon, Lynch, Williams, Turnbull, Pulis, Donnelley, or Fletcher in my opinion.
-
fair point. I wonder how many clubs ever get to keep their young talent? I imagine there are a lot of clubs who would be doing a lot better if they could keep hold of their talented youth players rather than knowing they'll be out the door sooner rather than latter. Matty really was a one off in modern football.
-
nah he was born in wales but we made him the player he is today (well maybe) but it will be spuds that will get all the credit.
-
I think players like Bale and Walcott should have "Made in Southampton" tattoted across their foreheads just to remind everyone how gave the world these players;)
-
isn't that two words;)
-
and we've only scored six (two of which were pens) hardly the sign of a great team either. If we're going to score an average of one goal a game the defence is going to have be very very tight. Last season we lost 9 matches in the league all told, so far we've lost 5 in the league already. Something is different about the team this season they just don't seem the same team they where at the end of last season. There is still a chance to go up of course but my confidence that we will do it has been knocked about by the less than ideal start to the season so far.
-
I think thats the most disappointing thing about this season. Every season is normally a bumpy season with us. This season it was supposed to be bloody different going up as champions, loads of goals and lots of wins and yet here we are again looking at another bumpy season.
-
Two things that worry me are our lack of goals I just can't understand how we've gone from one of the leagues top scoring teams to struggling to find the net in the space of a few months. Also if Hudders can do they homework and figure out how to stop the new "Southampton style" football we've started playing already (after only a couple of games) you can bet the rest of the league will to, I'm waiting to see if Nigel will stick to his style and beliefs or if he'll mix it up to get results.
