  1. getting in the excuses already;) Also Nigel doesn't have Antonio who always played a blinder against the Dons last season he seemed to like tuanting the wotsit in every match. By all accounts Notts have played some good football this season. It's a shame they're now going to stop and concentrate on the things Ince thinks are important, I'm sure his first trainning session will incude useful stuff like how to badger the ref, fouling and how to fake an injury to waste more time.
  2. It's quite funny that Ince left MK Dons becuase they had no ambition (or money) and gone to a club that really can't be much better in those terms than the Dons. Big one for Nigel this weekend if he gets out smarted by Ince I will start to worry a bit. After all if Southamptons worst manager in years can out smart Ince four times in one season, should be easy for our Nige.
  3. LOL yeah that would make a difference
  4. The question has to be what was she thinking? she looks great in that photo and ****ing scary in the other one, general I'm not the sort of man to ask a pretty lady in a bikini to put some clothes on but in this case I'd make and exception.
  5. well done boys and well done Doddsy. Jason seems to be doing a good job with the youth set up I thinks thats five wins in a row for our youngsters all good for the clubs future.
  6. Got in trouble recently after that big brawl between Notts county and the Posh after Notts won 3-2. One of two people to be charged with violent conduct apparently. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_2/9061978.stm
  7. Well stockport had 70% of the possession and far more shots on goal. Just goes to show what happens when you have a mid-field general like Pulis running the show from the middle of the pitch I suppose
  8. Except football isn't that neat and tidy freak results happen in all the time. I'd be more confident if our strikers where scoring more. Defence looks solid enough, midfield is still hit and miss but our strikers are in poor form (by last years standards). We are grinding out results without looking that comfortable IMO (of course that is good in it's own way good teams win playing badly and all that) it just feels to me that our current form could collapse quite easily with a couple of defeats.
  9. Good news mr Pulis is enjoying himself at Stockport and wants to stay longer, he has played three first team matches in a row (is that a record for him?). The only spanner in the works will be Stockports ability to afford him apparently we are still paying his wages. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/stockport/9125179.stm
  10. yeah a bit like Wotton's shot on saturday a few seconds of hope. Big shout of "shoot" from the crowd you see him tee up let fly and...................... somehow you knew it was going to fly miles wide before he'd kicked it but just for a second you dared to hope that Wotton was indeed a football genius.
  11. in what looks like a similair case to Barney's, Caroll of newcastle got away with just a fine. Apparently he didn't mean to glass the bloke he was just throwing a drink at him and the glass slipped out of his hand and into the blokes face:suspicious:. http://news.uk.msn.com/uk/articles.aspx?cp-documentid=155080953
  12. Maybe he is ****ging all the newcastle WAGs? Lots of football chairman have itchy trigger fingers, these days losing three games on the trot is cuase for a sacking it seems look at Notts county.
  13. yep that's how I feel.
  14. Kelvin said in one of his programme pieces he liked having a manager that played the same postion rather than one that was a midfielder (ie Pardew) he may regret saying that if Nigel is unhappy as some think.
  15. Its probably tougher when your boss used to do the same job as you. Most managers are ex outfield players so they probably just handall the goal keeping stuff to the goal keeping coach. Being an ex goalie I bet Nigel is probably far more observant and critical than most managers when it comes to that postion.
  16. Is anyone else getting frustrated with our corner taking or is it just me? We seem to get a lot of corners especially when playing at home, yet we seem to make so little of them. So often the ball doesn't even beat the first defender or sails right over the box reaching no one in a dangerous area. Why do our players fnd it so hard to get the ball into the danger area around the goal? You'd think with Lambert and some of our big lads from the back would score from a lot more corners than we do if the ball ended up in the right place. It's not just this season either we were awful last season with corners too. The best corners I've seen this year at SMS were taken by Lee Holmes in his sub apperance. It just seems like we waste a lot of corners should we be doing better with them?
  17. When he left the Dons last season he said he wanted to manage somewhere with ambition and some money to go with it rules out Notts county I would have thought. Still Ince would be good for us his team where guarnteed wins for us last season. Did some one on their boards really say MON? I thought we had some deluded fans. It's likely to be some lower league stalwart I've never heard of like most of the managers in League one I would have thought.
  18. Well kelvin had to make two good saves (one earlish in the first half and one at the death of the second). Misplaced passes were the order of the day from both teams on saturday. Oldham where a hard working out fit with a bit of niggle thrown in I could see how they where doing ok in this league. At least they didn't come to play(or rather not play) at SMS like they did last season.
  19. Did you see his to goals on saturday? route one at its finest, long ball from keeper BWP out paces the last defender one shot goal. If we tried that some on here would have fits about hoofball. Luckily Lambert couldn't outpace a sloth so it's not a tactic we could use.
  20. Hammonds back though? other wise its the dream team of Wotton and Chaplow:?
  21. from where I was sitting he was hauled down as he went to shoot, the Oldham defender had his arms all over Guly and pulled him down. Having said that the Oldham defenders quite happily did the same to Barnard loads of shirt tugging, arms over the shoulders and little pushes all of which the ref didn't seem bothered about. Although he did do Barnard for backing in once and Fonte for holding on so maybe he was only bothered when saints players did something.
  22. Well I certainly wasn't and the 10 year old sat a couple of seats from me shouting the "refrees a ******" wasn't.
  23. How is that any different to bring on Papa and Antonio?
  24. Poor performance (bar the first 10 and last 15) but 3pts is 3pts so I'm happy. So many sloppy passes today (Chaplow being one of the main culprits). I see playing it out from the back pretty much died a death to day lots more long ball. Puncheon worked hard but without much end product. Fonte looked poor in the first half too (apart from scoring). Adam was quite until the last 20mins when he suddenly looked total class. Last sub was poor we where all over them looking for a third to kill the game and then went all defensive by bring on Wotton and they almost scored thank god for super kelv. On the plus side Oxos goal was pure class and the other one would have been candidate for goal of the season if it had gone in.Oxo could have had another but Guly decided to hold the ball up instead of passing to an unmarked Chamberlin for some reason I couldn't work out. Barnard looked good when he came on, but why do refs constanly let Barnard get fouled? In fact the Ref must have had a bet on for an Oldham win he was totally inept.
